Bought many things here over the years. We walked in and was immediately recognized by "thebiglebowski." Still the same and the hardware store is the same with a plethora of bolts, nails, building materials, collapsable buckets, and of course a very nice candy counter! This ACE has repeatedly saved me time and money by suggesting better solutions for home repair. The selection is surprisingly good also and usually has at least a couple of solutions to every home repair problem. Just ask and they will tell you the best solution! On one occasion I had called a professional plumber who declared my kitchen plumbing problem "too hard" with the plumber complaining about the depth of the sink and the relatively high location of the single drain pipe (for three drains). The plumber then slipped out the back, leaving me to solve my own problem. I took a trip to the ACE and the associate at this ACE spent over an hour helping me solve this plumbing problem, with the ACE associate placing more than a dozen plumbing parts on the floor in the proper order... I went home and by the end of the day it was working. On another occasion, I went to this ACE thinking I would buy some WD-40 to loosen rusted screws in order to remove a broken screen door. The ACE associate showed me the WD-40 but then suggested an alternate product "PB Blaster" which I purchased on their recommendation. I returned home and applied the PB Blaster to the rusted screws on the screen door. Several screws were rusted on tight and resisted my efforts to loosen them. The instruction for the PB Blaster advises waiting a few minutes for the Blaster to soak in, so it seemed like a good time to take a lunch break. I returned from lunch to find the rusted screws popped out, and the screen door on the ground. Wow, just wow. So, if there is such a thing as a home repair magician, these guys are it! I have a bunch of gallery walls in my home and he even cut glass for many vintage frames I thrifted. Some pieces as small as 1.5" x 1.5" - I really appreciate that he worked with my insane requests haha, great price too. It's nice to walk into a hardware store where the person running it is actually helpful unlike many employees in large corporate hardware store giants.

Pray they don't leave the neighborhood because the bike lanes have removed any way to easily pull in front of the store for loading/unloading - they are the best. I'm a bike rider too and don't want to see the new lanes shutting down small independent businesses like this - there must be a way to adjust.

I came here to get a new stud finder because mine kept going off every time my wife used it anywhere near me (budump bump!). Just kidding, but I did need a new one. I came here and found exactly what I was looking for. As I was heading to the checkout, I stood next to the checkout clerk and we both watched as some guy tried (terribly) to parallel park out front. It was really quite funny. After that, he checked me out and I was on my way. This is a good store with a fun staff. And, as always, support local!
