From checking in w/ Britany/Charity to getting assessed by Dr. Kacie to being guided by PT Assistants Alex, Jesse & Luis, they are all focused on helping clients get back to their regular activity level. I had spent six months with another PT and did not have any success. I searched on Yelp to find a quality provider that took my insurance and found none. Luckily, a friend of mine told me that St. Joseph's provides this care. Not only do they accept most insurances, they have an amazing team of Physical Therapists who all have their Doctorate in PT. Another huge benefit of going here is the one-on-one attention. I have not been to a PT where the actual PT works with you in years. Here you are not off-loaded onto a "technician" to go through your exercises. The PT works with you for a dedicated hour. You are certain to have great results like I did!

I was under the knife, in the recovery room, and on my way home from surgery in 2 hours. J had called Lucero's office 2 hours after we had gotten home because I had noticed blood coming from the top of my dressing. Lucero told him that drainage was to be expected, and that it could be light pink in color. This is even though J mentioned that what we were seeing was red red...not light pink and that the whole dressing felt completely wet against my skin. Yes, I was drugged...but I knew something didn't feel right with the bandages. Lucero told J to have me come into the office the next day to have the dressing changed. He's the doctor, so we thought that we were worrying over nothing. Hours later, in the middle of the night, J ended up having to rush me to the ER for an arterial bleed. Finding me pale as a ghost, with blood all over the living room floor I imagine was not what J was expecting discover when I called out his name early that morning. According to the doctor at Good Sam, a branch artery was weakened/nicked during surgery. This was a simple "routine surgery" that was not so routine. More like rushed. To top it all off, I'm still experiencing pain and swelling...even with going to PT. After the baby is born, I'll be going back to see an Orthopaedic surgeon. Will it be Lucero? F- NO!

I think that at most offices you will wait. Not sure about 2 hours like one of the reviews but they almost never run on time. Also with any medical care you do need to be careful because there are often unnecessary tests being done. That all being said, I have seen Dr Johnsen for my foot and Achilles and he fixed my toe after tearing cartilage in a taekwondo match. At age 53 and only 5'10 I can touch the rim so I would say it went well. Then several years later he checked my Achilles and made sure it wasn't injured and gave me the appropriate exercises to make sure it was appropriately loose. I cannot comment on some of the other orthopedist who had negative reviews but Johnsen is good.

The site showed open time slots and listed therapists as available. I selected a time, entered my card information, and completed the booking. Within minutes, I received a text saying no one was onsite. I called to understand what happened and was told "the person isn't here." When I asked why the website showed availability and allowed me to enter my payment information if no therapist was actually present, the response was that they don't charge the card and asked if I wanted to come later. That completely misses the point. If no one is there, the system should not show open appointments. The person on the phone did not seem concerned and had no clear explanation for how their booking process works or why it failed. It feels disorganized and misleading to allow customers to book and submit payment information for a time that isn't actually staffed. Based on this experience, I decided to take my monthly business elsewhere. Anyone that is checking them out, stay away because their booking windows seem to suggest they can get you in, provide all your personal info, and card info only to be told the site times aren't actually real i booked based on advertised availability. The business was not staffed. This caused wasted time on both sides.
