They should have done this immediately when I called for an initial appt. The centralized call center has multiple personnel; some of them have such a thick accent where it is hard to understand them. This is important in a stressful healthcare situation. When you come into the Davie office, you have to check in remotely with someone via a live stream monitor. I was originally scheduled with Andrew. I arrived before my appt. time. That time came and went. I asked about this and found out that my therapist was changed to Carl. The facility is not professional, clean, or organized. Too crowded with staff/patients. PTs present were not observing their patients during exercises to ensure proper technique. They were busy treating another patient instead and only looked over at the other patient occasionally. The initial evaluation was not done in private; instead, out in the open with other patients present. I came in to try laser tx (previous experience was successful) and/or PEMF. My therapist Carl (DPT) should have been knowledgeable about these modalities. He was not able to discuss these with me at all. He started me on exercises that I had already been doing at home. Root cause was not assessed. When I was leaving, I had to check back in with the remote scheduler. Between her thick accent and the noise at the clinic, I could not understand her so I left. The bottom line for this business appears to be profit over patient care.

The standard they upheld I saw put in practice every single day, including quality, empathy, expertise, and just overall providing the upmost service and care. This is a privately owned physical therapy office with two physical therapist as partners - Nancy, and Howard. Both are super experienced. I had to come here because I had a random neuromuscular injury and I came here for about six months because I found it so helpful . I primarily saw Nancy and her manual work is unmatched! I had a lot of locked up upper body muscle muscles, where I couldn't even lift my left arm all the way up. She did manual work massages in the areas that needed it to get the tissue to freeze up at every session and then would assign me physical therapy work in their gym. That was essential for my case. Prior to coming to this office, I had tried out another physical therapy office, I won't name any names, but I really dislike them and immediately stop going to them after the first session. On the entire hand at Orthosport, I stayed with them a little bit longer because I just enjoyed their service so much. And not to mention, they're such friendly and warm people. Not money grabbers at all. They want you to be able to improve and leave with skills to maintain your body and not have you come back unnecessarily. They accept different health insurances . The co-owner, Mark, has a great attitude and is in the trenches alongside his employees, love to see that. The center is not that large but seems to have every recovery gadget available to assist you for maximum improvement. They offer different memberships. I chose the one that gives you two visits per month. You can always go more often, but you'd pay out-of-pocket. I think twice a month is a good for me. Koen is my stretcher and he is wonderful. I always feel so much better after my stretch appointment. These are stretches you could never do on your own and they feel so good. They massage you and sometimes it is good and sometimes it is not I decided to leave that place after a student told me he needed to use the restrooms but he had been non stop on his phone while massaging me and I think he went to make a phone call. He had given me so heat therapy but it took him so long it started to get cold so I got up and left and nobody asked me anything it is like they don't hear they don't see and they don't know.. When I called 2 days later to say I don't think I want to come back they said OK and that was that. OK have a nice day.
