Worst experience I've ever had at an urgent care. The doctor (Vickie) literally laughed in my face when I told her what condition I was concerned about. I explained that my mom was a healthcare professional and had told me to go and get checked out and I heard her in the hallway making fun of my mother's position. Also, they never sent in my prescription and I tried calling the office on 3 separate occasions to get the prescription sent and no one would answer. Very condescending and straight up rude. Paying a $75 copay for this experience felt like robbery. read more

Don't waste your time and money. My wrist has been inflamed for four days now, I have significant weakness in my fingers, tingling, numbness, blotchy skin/discoloration and I am not able to bare much weight. My fiance, infant, and myself drove 30 minutes as it was the only urgent care open at the time, we came in around 5:50 on a day where they closed at 7. After being checked in by the receptionist who was quite less than kind we waited for about 40 minutes before being seen (the clinic was completely empty). Throughout the time we were waiting they turned away two separate patients, one being a sick child. The initial exam-if you could even call it that- was brief, the woman took my vitals and asked me essentially what was wrong with me all while acting as though I was such an inconvenience to her. When I explained my symptoms she asked me when it started and how. I responded that it had began hurting tuesday night, that there was no one incident that set it off and that it has progressed since then. She rolled her eyes and scoffed and said "So you were just sitting in a chair and it started hurting" in a sarcastic tone. I responded and repeated what I had just told her and she said "well you're not going to be able to do anything because you're breastfeeding." She then sent the second woman in. At this point I didn't think it could get any worse and I was extremely wrong. She came in and immediately started by saying i'm just going to need to ice it, without even looking at my wrist. I was pretty concerned as my injury is clearly affecting my nerves and the circulation in my hand. She then asked me what was wrong, this is the third person I had spoken to and each one of them acted like I was such an inconvenience. This upset me because I am not one to go to urgent care, I think I've been 3 times in my whole life so this was a big deal that I had gone. I told her my experiences and she said "well it's not swollen or discolored" without even looking at my other hand for comparison. (I will put a picture in my review). She then had me rotate my hand and when I did so very slowly (because of the significant pain it was causing) she also rolled her eyes. Next she had me try to squeeze her hand and when I was unable to apply much pressure at all she kept snapping at me to squeeze harder. She poked around my forearm which was extremely painful before going on a tangent about how she has to wear a wrist brace and basically invalidating me and making it seem like she had an injury and I didn't. She continued to berate me and insinuate that my wrist was just sore from holding a baby and that there was no deeper issue. I then told her I had an MRI done the day before and her whole demeanor changed. She was telling me to come back asap on monday so she can prescribe me something. Again after she had also said "well you can't do anything because you're breastfeeding." It seemed like she only engaged at the end because she knew I would be a repeat customer to make more money off of. Needless to say I will never be returning here and that woman certainly will not be reading my mri. They couldn't even tell that my hand was swollen. Overall, the entire experience was horrible. Poor customer care, poor quality of treatment, and extreme wait times for an empty clinic. It was extremely frustrating to be dismissed in a medical setting- especially since I am the last person to go to a doctor-it has to be something important for me to even think about going. read more

The front desk lady was amazing, super kind and helpful. As for the doctor, she didn't even come visit me. I am a Palmer student at the chiropractic school nearby. As I was there not feeling great with a virus, an X-Ray tech came in and decided to help me because I guess the doctor was doing something else. As he was helping me, he kept saying "stay in your own lane" because a Chiropractor once messed up his wife's x-rays by reading them wrong. Which I understand, but you don't tell someone to stay in their own lane. That chiropractor was trying his best and not everyone is perfect. I thought that was very disrespectful, and even when we were past the conversation. He continued to tell me to stay in my own lane. They were very unorganized, and the overall appointment took 2 hours, which is an hour and 15 minutes longer than it should have taken. read more

I would like to start this off by saying I have been going to this urgent care pretty much my entire life. I have had wonderful experiences with almost everyone that I have had care from here. However there is one doctor that I have seen twice now in the last 5 years who has been absolutely awful both times I've seen her. A couple years ago I went in for a yeast infection, they had me take a urine sample and when Dr. Vicky Sorrel came in she told me they found no yeast cultures in my urine and that I had GONORRHEA- which they took no test for at all. I was obviously upset and crying as I am in a long term relationship and this was very upsetting news. She had not done a physical exam on me either and was reluctant to do so. She was ready to send me off with a prescription for something that she did not even test me for. she was extremely rude and kept telling me I needed to calm down. I insisted on a physical exam- because I knew deep down that she was wrong. She seemed almost bothered that I questioned her and stood up for myself- and I was not rude at all. I tried so hard to be nice even though I was absolutely beside myself. Sure enough she does a physical exam and I was right. It was a a yeast infection. She then proceeded to tell me that it was my fault they didn't catch it because I showered before I came to see them. Her care was lazy and quite frankly she could have done irreparable damage to my relationship. she made me feel judged and dirty as she was extremely rude the entire time. All she had to do was a physical exam and the whole situation could have been avoided. Fast forward to this evening, I was experiencing flu symptoms and I was in poor shape. I had been back a couple of times since the bad encounter with her- although she was not the one to take care of me the last couple visits I've had, the gentleman who weighed me and took my tests was wonderful. So caring and professional. He came in after my flu test came up positive to give me some Advil and to let me know the doctor would be in to see me. My throat is so sore and I am extremely nauseous. Taking pills of any kind is hard for me. After taking one pill I felt nauseous and walked over to the sink in the exam room because I felt like I was gonna be sick. Dr. Sorrel came in and before even greeting me she snapped at me and told me I needed to put my mask up even though I was clearly nauseous and about to be sick. She hardly let me get a word in- and when she saw I had a pill left over she snapped at me again and told me I needed to take it. I tried explaining that I felt like I was gonna throw up and that I was trying- but I didn't wanna take a pill if it was gonna come right back up. She was so pushy- as if me being nauseous was inconveniencing her. As I'm trying to take the pill she says "how often do you smoke marijuana" which completely caught me off guard as I was in there with flu symptoms. I did not lie to her, I do on occasion but I haven't smoked in WEEKS. She then proceeds to tell me that she can smell it on me and that she's allergic- once again, as if I am BOTHERING HER. She then tells me not to smoke and that it will make my nausea worse. I assured her that I had no plans too and that I had not smoked at all. She was more concerned about me smelling like marijuana than she was about me having a hard time swallowing my pill. I was still in my work clothes- I can guarantee you if I smelled like marijuana I would not have a job where I do now. She then tells me I'm free to go and walks out of the exam room and tells me to "feel better". I was humiliated, I felt judged. She made me feel like a degenerate. A doctors office should not be a place of judgment. I have seen several other doctors that have worked at this urgent care and not a single one of them ever brought up marijuana use- quite frankly I feel it had nothing to do with my flu symptoms and that she just brought it up to make me feel bad. She just left me in the exam room just standing there as the door to the waiting room was closed and I was not sure if they needed to let me out- I've been to this urgent care many times over the course of my life and almost every time I leave the doctor or nurse sees me out. She saw me standing there and tells me I can go. I was polite the entire time. I was never disrespectful or rude- even though I was so angry at the way she treated me. I could hardly get a word in to defend myself anyway- she was too busy shaming me and cutting me off every chance she got. It saddens me to say but after a life time of going here I will NEVER come back. I'm very upset because the other people who work here are wonderful- but I can not risk seeing her again. Both experiences I had with her were awful and honestly after seeing the reviews for this place and seeing what other people have to say I can guarantee you she is the reason this urgent care has 2 1/2 stars. Went at 8:20, facility closes at 9- one person was in the waiting room and was refused care. I was not offered other options, only urgent care that closes at 9 in the area and does not keep to that time. Do not recommend. read more

Hurt my knee on Saturday night November 2023 . Husband took me here and told them what had happened. They took me in and did X-rays . The dr didn't really look at it. The nurse was very attentive . After the X-rays they said that they couldn't read them and they would call in the morning.. They didn't call so my husband called and they said that wouldn't know anything until later or probably the next morning. They didn't call until afternoon on Tuesday! I had already went to Halifax and they had found two fractures on my knee ! read more

Terrible bed side manners from the senior citizen female Doctor. Started off by almost demanding, "What are we seeing you for, as if I did something wrong? When trying to explain, I was cut off mid-way into 1-minute trying to tell her why I was there. Treated me like a drug seeking individual and I was not there for high. I am 70-years old and in pain, so she said, why didn't you go to your primary care physician, my answer, because the only appointment they had was a month away, not to mention, I am a snowbird. If I could give another 1/2 a star I would 3.5 stars. The care the staff gave was generally good. Did not get a really warm sense from the ARNP. My wife and I both went do to having sinus infections. For some stupid reason they sent our scripts to two different pharmacies. Other than that fiasco ,I'm ok with their service last night. read more

Saw Jeannette Derita APRN. I have seen her twice at the urgent care office. First time for Upper Respiratory Infection. All fine the first time but now this condition turned into bronchitis or something going on with my bronchial or chest, so I went a second time 5 days later in hopes to get a prescription that can target a Lower Respiratory Infection such a bronchitis or pneumonia which I think I have. It's a simple diagnosis and I was hurting that's why I paid a second time to see a "doctor" at this urgent care office thinking they already saw me just a few days ago. I have had this same issue multiple times in my life and I was trying to tell her my health history but this older lady did not want to hear my health history and how other doctors have treated me effectively. Doctors are supposed to hear their patients... not this one! She said, "Am I supposed to listen to you? I have medical books" whatever she means by that!!. I was trying to tell her that some antibiotics treat certain things as she should know, and I needed to get another antibiotic for Pneumonia or Bronchitis, but she said "Sorry but I'm not going to listen to you! Go get a chest x-ray and then I'll see you again." She also told me to go to an ENT. Whether or not she is right, she could have done something to help me!! another type of antibiotic to help me get through the week until I saw a specialist which usually takes weeks to get an appointment. I am self pay at the moment and I paid their inflated office visit fee just to be told this?? I told her I just paid to see you and she said "sorry!!" Sarcastically!! I paid for nothing. This place just took my money. I WILL NEVER come back again!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS WALK IN OFFICE!! Jeannette was very rude. I'd give it a zero if I could. NEVER AGAIN. Go to any other walk in clinic and I'm sure they will be more helpful than this office and certainly this doctor. UPDATE: I ended up going to another urgent care and was told I have pneumonia so I did get a different antibiotic!! That APRN at Advance Medical Care is totally incompetent. Shame on her. I've always gone to this urgent care walk in for flu symptoms. They take forever to call you back but once you're seen, they're quick to test and diagnose and send you on your way. But I came here this evening on a Saturday at exactly 5:05pm and their hours say they close at 7pm. They turned me away saying they're not taking any more patients today and told me to go to the ER. Which I felt was absolutely ridiculous, I can't afford a $400 ER trip which is why I came to the walk in where my co pay is $8!!! read more

This place is for the bids. went here with my parent just shortly after they opened for both of us to be seen. As were pulling in the parking lot I should have read the warning signs as their was 4 cars in the lot already. So we parked and despite that went inside just to see how many was in front of us and how long it would take them to see the both of us. Girl at window says 6 people and if you want to check in be prepared for a 2 hour wait at least. I said so 2 hours for an urgent care she goes yep two hours. so they tell us whom is on duty today and my mom says well that explains it amber lets go. so we leave both sick as dogs and last week my mom went in and was told not that long of a wait over 2 and a half hours that time. Unless Dr. Arsheema is their then this place is worth the wait as she has empathy the others well not so much. Me and my mom have reached out to others to spread the word not to come to this place not even for family pratice either. Visited there in Sept 2021 because I wasn't feeling well. The PA or nurse practitioner was the one who saw me. Very quick to diagnose me visually. Asked for blood work. A week passed and not a call back. Forgot about it and now have a bill for $185 from a collection company 6 months later. My big issue is I have insurance and they are telling me they billed insurance but insurance denied it. I thought it was a little odd that I didn't pay anything on my visit. But my main concern is they never followed up on my blood work. That's a HUGE no no from a medical malpractice standpoint. read more

She was too busy to answer my questions and her assistant Michelle was just as rude and rushed me out the door. I left there today after pulling my back this weekend and they would not give me ANYTHING! Not even a stronger prescription for Tylenol. They gave me an X-ray and said "we'll call you if we need to". I give this a 3 because I really don't know how the service is. What I do know is that they say they're open till 7 but they only accept patients till 6. We called ahead of time, were warned that they may stop accepting patients from6-6:30 depending on how busy they were. So we drove the 25 min, got there at 6:10 and they were closed. There were 4 cars in the lot. I imagine one had to be the receptionist, one the nurse and one the Dr.. Hmmm. Soooo we Drove another 30 min. Don't go there if you need anything but your temperature taken. I was seen in the morning and by 5pm when my pharmacy was closing they still had not received a script for me. I was told by this place that their computers were down which is the same excuse I heard them tell to a different patient. All they could offer is for me to drive back to the office to pick them up. I drove them to the pharmacy to find one script and this wasn't the antibiotic I was told they were calling in. So, you sit there 2.5 hrs for NOTHING but to get a run around on how to get the meds I so desperately need. What does "URGENT CARE" mean? This place needs to be SHUT DOWN! And to top it off, my Assessment Letter has my Assessment Information on it with a different patients Medical Advise which if ANY Medical personal read it could see that Advise does not match my Assessment! I had a wonderful experience at Advanced Urgent Care. I was seen twice in a two week period for acute Bronchitis. Everyone in the office from the receptionist to the nurses to my Doctors were terrific My first visit was with Dr Melody. She greeted me by introducing her self by her full name no title. Not until she treated me did I ask if she was a NP, PA or MD, she told me oh yes I am an MD. She was very helpful, professional and polite. I had to return a week later for follow up for additional treatment and X-ray to check my lungs out Having severe respiratory problems from 9/11, FDNY retired I need medical care several times a year I am grateful to this office to visit when I need medical care now that I live in Daytona Beach Shores I went early both times and on a Sunday morning in and out If they are busy it's because they are good!! read more

If you're looking for a friendly doctor, don't go here. Waited in the exam room for an hour for one minute of the "doctors" time. Rude, not organized, and VERY unprofessional. Not worth your time or money. I knew what was wrong with me; but they insisted on spending more of my money and running unnecessary tests. I walked out of the room twice in the hour to ask what the hold up was and all I got was " were waiting on the provider" so I waited patiently. Do not go to this place - go to any other available clinic!! We came in yesterday at 6:30pm and were told to return the next day between 8:00am and 1pm so my daughter could get an x-ray. When we arrived at 8:30 am, we waited almost an entire hour before being brought to the back. Nurse Julie constantly talked over my daughter as she was explaining her injury- how unprofessional! After blood pressure check, another wait of 20 mins before taken off for x-ray. Then it went fairly fast. Whoever is running this place needs to consider patients time!! read more

The office staff was pleasant but the wait was a little lengthy. The doctor who took care of us was Jennifer Williams and she is absolutely amazing. My son came in because he couldn't breathe from his asthma and she explained everything and knew exactly what he needed saving us a trip to the ER. I had to go here for a UTI on a Sunday morning. I was there right when they opened. Front desk staff was nice and the paperwork was straight forward. After a very short wait I was seen by the doctor, not a PA. He was kind and conscientious. He listened to my history and gave me a choice of antibiotics. He even told me I could get the RX filled for free at Publix. I was in and out in around 40 minutes. If I ever need urgent care services I would go here again. read more

This was a horrible experience. We are in town for work. We had to get a hand X-Rae that turned out being a hand fracture. They did not have any splints or casts to keep the hand safe until further care. Also would not prescribe anything for the pain. They told us to come in the next day to pick up a copy if we found a orthopedic doctor that could do something for it. The next day we came in to get the X-Rae to take to a hand doctor that we made an appointment with and they refused to give us a copy or help us get the information to the proper doctor. Horrible!!! I was here for three and a half hours for a hurt foot. They took an X-ray and told me it was fractured and to see an orthopedic. When I went to the orthopedic they told me it was just a torn ligament. Such a waste of time and money. read more

Wonderful experience. Jennifer Williams and the staff were very helpful. Jennifer was able to excise a palm thorn stuck in a tendon on the back of my hand, saving us a trip to an in network hand surgeon in Cincinnati. The area has healed up nicely. Great service! read more

Went in on January 12 because of a fall that injured my ribs from the back. Did not see a doctor, just a PA. When I got home ($200 poorer between visit and prescriptions) I realized she listed my reason for visit as sinusitis. Got a letter stating 4 days off to give to employer. Went in after 4 days (to work) with another letter saying no heavy lifting. Employer requested an in-depth form be filled out. PA off until day after my job is gone. They want me to come in an do ANOTHER $130 to get the form filled out unless I wait for PA to come back in. They called the letters "courtesy". $130 and it's a courtesy. Stay away. read more

Another terrible experience with this place. After 3 weeks of calling to set up and appointment, endurance I will be called back to set up an appointment and never hearing anything, I finally had an appointment set up. They set an appointment for 7:30 - I arrived at 7 as soon as they opened, it's now 10:00 and haven't been seen. Several patients coming in with appointments after mine that have been seen, and no explanation from the incompetent staff as to how much longer it will be. If this wasn't the only place within 50 miles I would have left 2 hours ago. Might be worth the drive ... read more
