If they do show up, they don't finish the job when they say they will. You end up calling them multiple times to finish what they started, and they never come back to complete the work. Trapline is the exception to that rule. I made contact with them, they showed up as promised, and did all the work they said they would. They got rid of some very destructive raccoons for me and repaired my soffits. They gave me a quote and a handshake, and they delivered on all of it in a very tight time schedule. I never had to call them back. They did the work they promised completely without any prompting from me. That is rare in this day and age. If you are in the Orlando area and have critters driving you crazy call Trapline and let them take care of it for you. You guys deserve the five stars, you earned it. Nestor, the tech who came out was friendly, respecting of our home and in my mind conducted one of the most thorough and honest free estimates. We have a pest contract with another company and he suggested we reach out to them as well to see if they would handle, what we thought to be a raccoon as to not violate our contract. He went into the attic (helping me move boxes so we could get into the second attic entrance) and found that it was a rat caught in a trap and it happened to be right on top of our hallway attic entrance flopping around. I was able to call my pest control company and they removed the rat and rechecked entry points and helped seal other potential areas that Nestor pointed out to me during the inspection. I would not hesitate to call them in the future and have reached out regarding a treatment for the attic to neutralize the rat feces.

Long story short: we made the switch after swarms at our house were getting more frequent and our previous pest control company that we had a termite bond with just wasn't cutting it. After the first visit, termite activity completely disappeared for over a year. As you may know, without tenting your home, you can't ever fully get rid of termites, especially living in the Colonialtown neighborhoods. The large majority of older homes deal with it in some capacity. Our last two visits have just been quick spot treatments because of the protection and treatment we got the first time. We only ever have 1 or 2 small sites of activity a year (no more swarmst though), which is a huge improvement from the last company we used. We opted out of emergency weekend service and instead left the lights on.in the attic all weekend. They came and inspected and sure enough, a raccoon had been there and rats. They installed a one way trap for the raccoon, as I didn't want it euthanized, rat traps and duct tape to further verify what kind of critters were taking up residence and sealed off every possible entrance. I also decided to have them re-insulate the attic as said critters had pretty much torn it up, plus left unsanitary messes. They completed the job in one day and the attic looks great now! Plus the "eviction" had worked, as there was no fur on the tape (they checked several days in a row.)

Critter Control subcontracted the insulation work to Sun Insulation. The exclusion work was completed, but the insulation installation was canceled on the scheduled day due to the subcontractor's equipment failure. This left us without insulation during a Florida summer and forced us to scramble to find another company on the eve of a holiday weekend. We ultimately had to pay for a hotel because our home was not ready to occupy. What disappointed me most was not the equipment failure itself. Unexpected problems happen. It was how Critter Control handled the situation afterward. The owner never returned my calls.The insulation company's manager never returned my calls. The office staff repeatedly minimized the impact of the cancellation. I was told that because I had rescheduled an appointment weeks earlier, after a vendor that was scheduled to complete work that needed to be completed before the insulation could be replaced was delayed due to a car accident, that this situation was somehow my responsibility. The discussion repeatedly focused on how quickly the exclusion work had been completed while largely ignoring that the insulation portion of the project--the reason the house was uninhabitable--was never completed by their subcontractor. Critter Control eventually agreed to reimburse one hotel night, which I appreciate. However, they refused to remove or adjust the bundled warranty despite the fact that I no longer have confidence in using their company in the future. The office manager just kept repeating "You signed the estimate." When I said that I signed it in good faith that it came with at least a basic level of customer service, she simply kept repeating herself. Legally, she is correct. But it was certainly poor business practices. Throughout this process, even before things went wrong, I felt like I had to manage the project myself rather than having the company take ownership of the customer experience. Multiple phone calls went unreturned and the team at Critter Control did nothing to help facilitate communication with the subcontractor they chose. The biggest lesson I learned is that when you hire Critter Control, you are also depending on the performance of their subcontractors. If something goes wrong, don't assume you'll receive proactive communication or have easy access to company leadership. I sincerely hope others have a better experience than I did, but based on mine, I would not hire this company again.

And I'm so glad I did, for 2 key reasons: 1.) IT WORKS: From a purely functional perspective, the treatment definitely helps keep pests at bay. For the first few weeks after we moved into the house, spiders, ants, and palmetto bugs were nearly everyday occurrences (as they tend to be in Florida). After Royal Palm treated, it felt like we had our house back. We pay for quarterly treatments, and while they offer free interim treatments if we notice an uptick in pests in the home, we've never had to avail ourselves of that offer. If we ever see an insect in the house, it's rare, and they've usually given up the ghost by the time we find them. 2.) CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SPECTACULAR: They always call US to schedule our quarterly treatments, which is a nice perk because I'd never remember. They're always friendly and professional. And our technician (Craig) is a super nice guy. Very efficient, always on time, AND he wears booties over his shoes when he comes into the house, which is such a nice touch. We like to maintain a "shoe-free" home to keep the floors clean, but we don't typically ask guests to remove their shoes because we don't want to make folks feel uncomfortable. So the fact that he wears paper booties over his shoes as a matter of course is just an incredibly thoughtful thing to do. Again, highly recommended!

We repeatedly pointed out the areas where the activity was the worst and asked the technician to treat those locations thoroughly. We also requested that equipment and movable racks be repositioned so the hidden areas could be properly serviced. The technician informed us that they do not move equipment. Even when we helped move a rack ourselves to provide access, there was very little effort made to treat those hard-to-reach areas. As a restaurant, those inaccessible spaces are exactly where effective treatment is often needed. We were also instructed not to use any other pest control products, trusting that Arrow's service would resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the problem only became worse during the time they serviced our business. We continued paying for monthly treatments while seeing little to no improvement. The situation became so severe that it put our restaurant at risk and created unnecessary stress for our business. After ending our service with Arrow and hiring a local pest control company, we saw a dramatic improvement. Within a month, the pest activity was under control--something we never experienced during our months with Arrow. Our experience was frustrating, costly, and disappointing. I discovered reading through all the BBB complaints that so many people have had the same experience as me- incomplete services, misrepresentation, and being harassed by the billing department in Cincinnati, who are a bunch of robots from what my experience has indicated. In fact, I just recently remembered that Jose Diaz, the sales guy that came to our home, told me that people don't know that they're talking to AI on the other end of their line. Wake up people, this is what you get with ARTIFICIAL "intelligence". After all the requests, and then demands that they only communicate with me in writing, I finally received something in writing this evening... An email from their collection agency in California. This is the problem with this company... You deal with people here locally for the service, but the billing department is in Cincinnati and then their bulldog company/collection agency is in California. My experience has indicated that none of them talk to each other except to attack with the collections agency by the billing department. Only deal with companies where everything is local! Yesterday, I received a text from David, who I assume is a manager, he's never identified himself as to his job title, that stated he had been working on my account and that the balance was adjusted to zero. And then today I get the collections agency email demanding payment. I am posting a screenshot of David's text. He may work out of the Altamonte Springs location but it's really hard to get any information from these people. Be sure to read through all the BBB complaints,. Rentokil has bought Terminix as well and some complaints indicate there may be other companies that Rentokil has bought. It seems they've grown too big for their britches and that has made their services deplorable. Also be sure to search Indeed and Glassdoor for employee reviews. There are some real whopper stories out there. Seems to be a good indicator why their services have so many complaints from customers. If you're stupid enough to call these people and begin service, make sure you demand EVERY DETAIL discussed be IN WRITING BEFORE you sign their little iPad. Because once you sign, that's when the nightmare begins.
