I've used Advanced Window Products (AWP) twice. I've been as unimpressed, disappointed, and frustrated by AWP the second time as I was satisfied the first time. For starters, they promised to credit me for the cost of installation since my builder installed the windows. It's been months, and following numerous (10? 12?) requests for that credit, and an equal number of promises from their salesman Rob, that that credit was imminent. They've done NOTHING. Besides having been lied to about the credit, their screens don't fit the windows they sold me and, again, after numerous attempts to get them replaced, AWP has done absolutely NOTHING. I would formerly have been complimentary of their products and service, now I can't say positive things about either. They have promised to do something about both matters so many times, and with so many repeat requests from me, that I now have to conclude they are just scam artist selling a substandard product with non-existent customer support. read more

First off I live in the Phoenix area and the advertisement states that these windows are built here in the Phoenix area NOT Utah. Our install was not what was expected. Our windows look used from the outside. They are scratched up and one window from the inside is dented. I was told that the damage happened from transporting yet they advertise that the windows are built here in the Phoenix area. The sealing of the windows looks crappy too both inside/out. There is a window that looks tinted and they have yet to correct it. I had to request multiple times for someone to do a walk through with me after the install was complete and that was completed, pictures and notes were taken but nothing was done about my concerns. You all need to work on customer support. I really wish I would have done additional shopping around. TAKE note people! read more

Subject: Complaint Against Advanced Window Products (Arizona) - Order Delays, Incorrect Measurements, and Poor Communication I am filing a complaint regarding my experience with Advanced Window Products related to a window purchase and installation for my home in Arizona. I purchased approximately 20 windows on January 19. About a week later, a technician came to take measurements. I was then given an installation timeframe of March 11-12. On March 11, the installation team arrived on time and successfully installed the windows for the back portion of my home. However, when they began work on the front portion, it was discovered that the windows ordered were incorrect due to measurement errors on the company's part. At that time, I immediately contacted both the office and the salesperson. The installation team also confirmed the issue. I was told a rush order would be placed to correct the mistake. Since then, the process has been extremely frustrating. Representatives have returned to my home multiple times (2-3 visits) to remeasure the same windows. During one of these visits, I was told there was confusion about what happened to the prior measurements or order. Communication has been inconsistent and unreliable. I have repeatedly had to follow up for updates, often receiving vague responses or delays. As of today, May 5, the issue remains unresolved, and I am still attempting to confirm whether an installation appointment scheduled for May 6 will actually occur. I did received a call from Mitch on May 5th evening (who I believe is the General Manager) stating that he would personally handle my window order. He informed me that the installation team would not be out on the 6th and assured me that he would determine the status first thing in the morning and call or text me with an update. As of 5:00 PM today, I have not heard back from Mitch, despite his assurance that he would be closely managing my account. This situation has caused significant inconvenience, delays, and a lack of confidence in the company's ability to complete the job properly. What was initially expected to be completed in March has now extended nearly two months beyond the original installation date, with no clear resolution. read more

We used Advanced Window Products again in 2018 because we had a great experience with them in the past. Unfortunately, this second experience was completely different. After installation, our living room window began repeatedly leaking during heavy rainstorms coming from the northwest. Water would enter from the top and side of the window under the same conditions over and over again for years. We contacted the company multiple times. The issue was initially blamed on a roof leak in our home, which was later proven not to be true. Over several service visits spanning years, the only "fix" we ever received was more caulking and minor adjustments that never solved the problem. After years of back and forth with no resolution, we hired an independent contractor who found the window had been improperly installed, including issues with flashing and the vapor barrier. Once the window was fully removed and properly rebuilt, the leak stopped immediately. The end result was interior damage and significant out-of-pocket repair costs that could have been avoided if the installation had been done correctly in the first place. It's especially frustrating given our prior positive experience with this company. Based on this experience, we cannot recommend them for window installation work. read more

I would love to write a five-star review, but my experience has been unacceptable. My window installation has now been canceled TWICE at the last minute--both times with less than 12 hours' notice. I live in Arizona, where Advanced Windows is trying to make it's mark. I work out of state and have arranged my schedule specifically around Advanced Window's availability, only to be told--again at the last minute--that my windows "weren't in." The first time, I was told they were coming from Utah. Six full weeks later, after rescheduling everything, I received the exact same excuse: the windows are still not here...still in Utah. At this point, this is no longer an inconvenience--it's a pattern of poor planning, lack of communication, and complete disregard for a customer's time. I have gone out of my way twice to accommodate this company, and they have failed both times. I am extremely frustrated and have very little trust left in Advanced Window's ability to follow through on even the most basic commitments. read more

As well as installation by Sam, it's been a 5 star experience. Our two Labrador Retrievers had their dreams come true! we ordered windows October 31, took until January 31 for install date, had 2 different guys come and measure. Install day was only able to install 3 windows of the 11, they mis measured now end of February and no install date, had to re order,and have called 3 times and no call backs of any info of progress. Only answer was our production manager out of country 2, computer down for 2 days. 3, I will get back with you when the install scheduler gets back in to office. I get it the 8 weeks but this is 4 months double time and not a happy camper mostly because no communication. we are heading in to the actual office to get answers. If you have an old house make sure they get it right and can actually do the job. The house we are doing is old, and in a cement basement. Very Very Frustrated. read more

The windows are awesome, we love them but do not use the stucco firm that works with advance windows. They left a mess, put the gutters back together the wrong way, and left the screwed out. The dropped stucco everywhere, including all over my central air unit. read more

I've been in touch with them since Sept 2025 with a broken door frame. They received photos of problems. After confirmation on the cost of remanufacturing they informed me of starting the process. With no response for over a month, with a broken door, I had to reach out to them. I was then told that the manufacture hadn't begun. I confirmed it needed to be started. By November, another month, I was reaching out again for an update. I was told their scheduler was out of the office and they couldn't schedule until she was back. Another two weeks, I was reaching out again. They finally scheduled me- And NO ONE Showed up. They called and apologized- informing me of my new date. When the installer arrived, he then told me the dimensions were incorrect, how this is possible when it was their original install, I have no idea. So back to remanufacture- another month, no updates. Called again, no response. Called again today and I was told they weren't manufacturing the frame! What a waste of time! The initial process was off to a good start. Then the installers showed up. Not much respect for my home. Never cleaned up inside or out. They damaged my window sills and had saw cuts inside on my window openings. I had 3 windows that were ordered incorrectly from salesman. Took another 2 months to get correct ones installed. Was told by salesman that installers would fix the damage and that never happened. Sad I have to spend $10k and get this crappy service. Their "Lifetime warranty " means nothing. Even though when we purchased the windows we were told that for any reason and for any amount of time, any issues with them would be taken care of at no cost. Well that is just not the case. If you call them with any issues they don't seem to care. It takes them days to get back to you. Then after someone comes and inspects the windows, they simply will not get back to you. It took over a week and my phone calls to get any response. Then it was "we will have someone come and take measurements so that we can give you a quote". Because of the age of the windows they are now out of warranty. Really!!! Life time warranty my ass!! I will never do business with this company again. Their product does not hold up. Rob is amazing! We previously had Hansons come into our home to give us an estimate. It was a 4 hour long nightmare. Imagine the worst car salesman on enough steroids to addle the brain. *I live in North Salt Lake* I feel like I was overcharged. Partially my own fault for not following through and getting multiple bids. I had worked all night and was tired and allowed the sales guy to pressure me into signing right then. (Something I know better than to do.) I would just say don't fall for the "I've got to check with my boss on this price" game. Going back and forth to his car to "call his boss" then after signing the papers the sales guy answered his phone, it was his boss who expressed surprise that he was signing a deal. He was embarrassed as he hung up and told me he had multiple bosses. I feel like a fool for falling for that. When they bid the job they missed one of the windows. When they came to measure the guy mentioned it to me and said he would take care of it. He didn't. So it wasn't made or installed. I called that same day and was told it would be taken care of. It wasn't. I called back and was given the run around about not knowing what I was talking about and not realizing that there needed to be another window. I was also told that I would have to pay for this window out of pocket because they had already issued me a loan for the windows that didn't include this one. The guys who installed the windows were AWESOME!! They were my favorite part of this whole experience. They were on time, kind (my boyfriend had had a stroke and they asked about him and talked to him when he came by one day), and were efficient. I'm getting ready to move (wasn't going to, but I'm getting married to my boyfriend who has recovered nicely from his stroke) and I can't seem to get them to come out and finish the job. My windows were installed in August and it's now October. Frustrating. The windows look amazing and seem to have all the bells and whistles. read more

The main reason we got new windows was to withstand the high winds we get in our area. Our prior windows whistled and hummed every time we got wind. I was so excited for our first windy night with new windows but to my dismay we still have whistling. I called and of course they advertise how great it is that there's no middle man to get to the lifetime warrantee but all that does is make it easier for them to deny any problems. i wait for weeks for a service guy to come and then he adds some glue and foam pads and promises it will do the trick. He's come 3 times now and the window still whistles. They also left a mess after installing and damaged several areas around the windows. We also have a new clicking noise when the wind blows that wasn't there before getting new windows installed. Very disappointing. read more

We have 12 windows and 1 slider that need to be replaced. We've been looking into replacing them for a while and we recently had Rob with Advanced Windows come demonstrate their window as well as provide us with a quote and information regarding the product as well as the installation process. We felt so comfortable with Rob as well as being super happy with the product. We called Rob later in the week and decided to get set up with their windows. He was not pushy at all and also didn't try to sell us on things we didn't need. We are still in the early stages of the process and we have the fine tuned measurements being taken this week. So far, we are extremely please with Rob and the service he has provided! We'll update after the installation occurs and how the windows are working. Follow up review post installation-- Our windows were installed last week and the install went super fast! There was a little more cleanup than I expected but that wasn't too big of a deal. I had planned to do a thorough cleaning once the install was finished. Also, during the removal of the slider, the worker was prying on it too close to the edge of the wall and cause a little damage to occur. The supervisor patched it up and I told him I would put some paint on it. The installers were all very nice and respectful. They were clean and were extra careful around my personal items. Our representative, Rob, stopped by towards the end to make sure everything went well. He has been involved from the start to the finish, which is remarkable. He's always ready to answer any questions I've got or help out however he can. Now to the Windows... They are awesome!!! We love them!! Our home is so much quieter and cooler even though it's still blazing hot outside. The air conditioner hardly runs now also, and it doesn't run for as long when it does turn on. I can't wait for winter to see how they improve the energy efficiency of our home. We also love how the Windows look. They have really improved the appearance of our home! We would recommend Advantage as well as Rob to anyone! Approximately 10 years ago we spent almost 11,000.00 for Advanced Window Products to replace all our windows on our main floor. For the past two years we have called and complained about the windows coming apart, air leakage and improper installation. Each time they send a repairman they agree these issues need to be taken care but they don't have enough time to address all of the issues, they will reschedule and come back, they never do. We had a great experience, up until AFTER we paid from the invoice we were given. We received a call saying we owed 500.00 for the lead paint safety measures they had to take. What is VERY unsettling is our sales man said the lead paint test was free... we said "Great"; especially since we had only bought our house 3 years ago and have paperwork stating we have lead paint. He never told us about a 500.00 charge. However, the 500.00 wasn't for the test, it was for the safety measures they took. I did not get a straight answer when I asked about this. I would love to know what "safety measures" were taken. I saw no drop cloths put out to catch the lead paint and they wore no masks. They did, however, take the windows away, but I assume this is done with or without lead paint. We feel like this is a scam. No one ever told us of a 500.00 charge. BEWARE ask about the lead paint charge. If the 500.00 would have been included in the quote and we knew about this charge my review would have been 5 stars our windows look beautiful. read more

Upfront I did not purchase windows from this company. I did buy a house that has their windows. I called to see if they would come look at them as there seems to be an issue with the fit and finish. They told me their lifetime warranty only covers the person who bought the windows so since I didn't buy them the windows are no longer under warranty. Ok, I get that and seems like a pretty easy customer service play just to come look. Who knows maybe by being kind and generous you make additional sales but that didn't happen in this case. read more

Had windows installed by Advance about a year ago. Installers were very professional and nice. However, most windows will not close correctly. The frames are slightly tweaked so the sliding portion of the window needs to be pushed/pulled to close. One window pane cannot be removed in the summer time as the heat expands it enough to where it won't clear the frame (I was told to check the rollers but that is not the problem). One window was not sealed with caulk at all. I called the company to pick up some caulk to correct myself. They gave the wrong color (I had been told that there are only two colors white and the color I have. Don't see why I'd be give the incorrect color). On a side note... if you have issues with water stains or the like on windows I'd recommend soaking some lemon or orange peals in vinegar for a couple of weeks. Add a little to some water and use this to clean your windows. read more

From my call with a sales person to getting a quote at my house to having the installer get my windows in-place, I had an excellent experience. I quote shopped of course, but the main difference was the education / expert level knowledge their team showed. You can tell they care about their experience because they asked for a review after. The guy did a good job, the pricing was fair and now I have some crazy lifetime warranty that says I shouldn't have to worry about my windows again.
