Would have cost us upwards of $500 all in, and we were only replacing it on the plumber's recommendation. Fortunately Russ was there, and while he was a professional and didn't step on the other guys toes, I noticed he seemed like he wanted to say something. So after talking to him, I learned that a toilet replacement is not at all difficult, and nor is a rebuild, and he would be happy to do either for just his hourly rate. So we replaced the toilet for less than half the price the plumber wanted. Honest, hard-working, and dependable, and above all with our interests in mind.

He asked for all monies to be paid even though the job was not done, and we did. Big mistake on our part. We hired him to fix sprinklers and landscaping damaged, caused when we had a walk-out basement installed. He has only came out 1 or 2 times at the time and day he said he would. He complained to us that the people putting in the walkout didn't leave the sprinkler pipes exposed, so it caused him time to find them, even though this was known at the outset that this was the case, that he was going to have to find them, which was part of the scope of the work needed. Then he complained about his curbing guy stood him up and he had already paid them, and we waited weeks for him to try to figure out what to do, so we finally took the ball and ran with it and got our own guy to do the curbing, so the project could move forward. So now he was dragging his feet over getting sod to replace grass missing, even though it clearly states in the estimate using sod or seed. When we spoke verbally in person, he mentioned about plugs, but he even said that plugs wouldn't work as well, and we agreed that we wanted sod, and he agreed he would get sod. And the kind of grass we have doesn't grow from seed. So now he has lied to us that he had picked up sod and was coming out to install. We waited all day long for him to show up, and then he said he was still coming. Never showed up, no communication as to why, nothing. This is not an isolated incident either. Multiple times no communication and no show. He has said a few times that he had major emergency incidents causing the no shows and inability to do it when he said he would, but still no communication to us about any of that, and multiple times we have waited for him, not knowing what is going on. Now we are taking the ball back again and getting someone else to come and do the sod, because this has gone on and on, with no end in sight, and no communication. Not professional at all, even though he claims to be. So again, if you can deal with this, go ahead and use him. This is an honest review, I don't normally do reviews, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but figured that this has to be done, to warn others.
