Went in today to get some guidance on a beginner's bow set up for my daughter. I have no clue about bows as I've always been a bang stick guy. I do wanna learn the art of archery though and have thought it would be cool to do with my wife and daughter. That being said, my daughter is only 7 and I would like here to enjoy it. The guy working took all that into consideration. (I didn't get his name) but he was super helpful. He even assembled a mini crossbow for me to shoot. The little crossbow was super cool and very easy to operate. I think it's gonna be the perfect gift from Santa for my little girl this year. Thanks for all the helpful guidance guys. I look forward to her enjoyment. I will return to make future purchases. Bonus: was the crossbow was an excellent price. I felt the quality was good and the price seemed fair to my little bit of knowledge. I felt I could trust the price for what I was getting. I did look it up on Amazon as well after I got home with it and found they were the same price locally in the store. I like knowing I can shop local and still support the little guys and get the same great prices as online mega platforms. Keep up the great work guys. Caleb and his staff down there are extremely knowledgeable about archery and provide recommendations based on EXPERIENCE. I have never had an issue regarding products sold, installed, or recommended by them. Anytime I take my bow in and Cisco tunes it up, I have %100 confidence the bow is set up right. Wouldn't recommend any other bow shop! On all my bow purchases, the salesman ensures that I get the best quality product for my budget. Unfortunately, archery can get expensive FAST, and the staff at advantage ensure that "up selling" or attempting to turn you to product out of your price range is not the focus. My family has visited this shop for years. I feel really bad for just now taking the time to give them a five-star rating. Caleb is a great owner who knows how to take care of his customers and knows his business. Caleb hires great people to help run his shop and they do a great job. This shop is for veteran Archers to archery just starting. You have questions they have the answers. They will only sell you the right equipment for your skill level and they will set you up for success. What a great shop! I was greeted by the employees and I waited my turn to get my bow set up. Caleb worked fast abd tuned my bow to perfection. I've had my bow worked on in a lot of shops over the last 35 years and it was easy to see he was an expert at tuning bows, abd had a friendly demeanor. Customer came and went, all the while he and his staff greeted them and let them know there was a little bit of a wait. The shop itself has a huge inventory of high quality archery gear that could outfit you for any adventure. I can't recommend this shop enough. I used to shoot when I was younger and excited to get back into archery and after reading the reviews was excited to go here. We were quickly assisted but the only question we were asked was how much we wanted to spend. No questions about what we wanted or were looking for, just how much money. Never been so disappointed, I expected to walk out with a bow but I am not interested when the sales rep doesn't care to learn anything about what we want or need. Walking into the store I had no budget and expected to spend several thousand dollars for 2 bows but what I was looking forward to was not having to overspend unnecessarily. So when Francisco began by requiring a budget before moving on to anything else, I quickly had the impression that if I was honest I would walk out with the most expensive bows regardless of my need because he never took the time to even ask why we were there. As an example, he only quoted prices on hunting bows, I am not a hunter and came in with a target bow in mind. When I asked about the target bows I was told that you don't really cater to them because your customer base is primarily hunters. Now a reasonable sales rep would have taken that question as a cue that perhaps I am interested in target bows but again we went right back to budget and the cost of hunting bows. Again, looking for a consultative approach that doesn't focus on selling me the most expensive bow (as stated on your website) I don't really see how immediately asking for my budget instills trust that you aren't just trying to sell me the most expensive bow possible. Admittedly I lost interest in Francisco as a sales rep and Advantage Archery at that point which may be where I am to blame as you stated that information had to be pried from me but from my perspective you are trying to earn my trust and you lost it from the moment the conversation began. While Advantage Archery may "start almost all our interactions with the question of what is a comfortable budget" I doubt you'll find that strategy in any sales best practices. Even used cars salesmen begin by asking what type of your car you're looking for before budget and that is a larger investment. The purpose of my review is to let people know that what is stated on your website is not a true representation of the experience that I had walking into your shop. 7 months ago, I started to get interested in archery. I walked into Advantage Archery and was greeted right away. As we started talking, I was asked what kind of budget I was looking at, and then what type of archery I was looking at. I was grateful for these questions. I did not know if I would like archery and did not want to heavily invest. As a result, my time was not wasted looking at bows out of my set budget. Many shops just want to sell you the most expensive top of the line bow before they even know what you're looking for. I was new to shooting a bow when i first found Advantage Archery. Caleb and his staff were amazing. I was not a hunter but was interested in 3D and indoor shooting. Caleb explained that a hunting bow can be used for both of those disciplines just fine at a lower pricepoint than a Target Bow. The staff at Advantage always tried to keep my budget goal in mind while getting me set up with the best equipment for my needs. Caleb and Cisco are top notch. Locally owned small business, can't beat the selection or the service. Wouldn't be half the archer or hunter I am if it wasn't for the staff at Advantage Archery. Went in a few months ago to get advice on cross bow string. Walked in and the owner Caleb looked right at me and kept on telling his friends a hunting story. I sat there looking at him waiting to be helped for ten minutes before I left. I was in a suit so maybe he thought I was there to sell him something. Really was not impressed. Bought my 10 year old his first bow online, and took it to Caleb and he added a peep sight, adjusted the rest and draw weight and length in about 20 minutes and the charges were under 30.00 for everything! The service and atmosphere is top notch, plus they have techno hunt! If your an archer or thinking about starting you must come here.
