I've always had a good experience at this Sportsman's Warehouse, and until Twin gets an REI this is probably your best bet for high adventure gear. They also sell firearms. As I said, this is probably your best bet for high adventure gear in the Twin Falls area. They have camping equipment, boating gear, kayaks, canoes, fishing equipment, and firearms. They have a very good selection, and you can also shop online and have items shipped to the store for free. There prices are competitive with other similar retailers, and when I'm purchasing gear I often check the price at Sportsman's Warehouse and purchase from whoever has the best price. The parking lot is shared with the rest of the strip mall, and it isn't THE EASIEST lot to get into. But it's plenty big and there's ample space. read more

So being from Texas I always loved to shop at Academy Sports & Outdoors. Great products for reasonable prices. So I'm in twins, seeing where I could go for some hiking shoes and a camelback. (Since I'm getting into hiking alittle more) I was going to go to Dicks since that's the other sport store I'm aware of, but boy am I glad I didn't. I'm happy I came here instead. The man in the shoe department knew his products and well even guided me to get basically my moneys worth without spending an arm and a leg. I spent under $150 when I was on a budget of a $200. Even got some ammo. Lol the prices were extremely good. (They will even price match) store, was very clean and organized. Staff was extremely helpful and sweet and I definitely had a great experience for being my first time in this store. I highly recommend for you to go here and get all your sports gear! :) read more

I bought a Blackhawk holster from this location on black Friday this year, due to the sale they were having on them. When I bought the holster, the case that it was placed in was a re-used case. As in the case was actually for a 1911 pistol, and someone at Sportsman's had scribbled out this and wrote what the actual holster was inside of it. This is not a big deal at all. However, in order to get the rebate from Blackhawk, I need the UPC of the actual holster I bought. Now on the case, they had stuck a Sportsman's sticker on there with the UPC barcode and all the numbers except the first and last (the numbers that are raised a bit on a UPC). I discovered this issue after I was home attempting to fill out the rebate form online. I thought to myself, "well it is either a 45 minute drive back to the store, or I could call them and have them look at it for me". So I decided to call the store directly. I called and explained my situation to the customer service person who answered (I assume this was the lady at the customer service desk at the time). I told them that all I needed was for someone to run back to the holsters and get me the UPC for my holster that I purchased. She ended up transferring me to the gun counter. The man who answered was not helpful at all. After I explained my situation to him, he told me that he was with a customer who was filling out paperwork for a gun purchase and that there was not one other person there who could run back there for me. Apparently he was too busy to do this but not too busy to answer the phone and argue with me for two minutes in the first place? I again pressed him to take the two minutes it would take to do this and explained exactly where the holster was on the shelf, and then he started to get annoyed and refused to do anything more. He became very short with me and outright rude. I ended up hanging up on him and calling the Salt Lake City Sportsman's Warehouse. I re-explained everything to the person at their gun counter and he promptly left and came back within 20 seconds with the UPC code that I needed. It is very sad to think that a store in a big city like Salt Lake has better customer service than the Twin Falls store. Yes it was black Friday when I was calling them on this, but you are going to tell me that the Salt Lake store, where the population of the Salt Lake valley is about 1 million people, is less busy than the Twin Falls store was? In conclusion, horrible over the phone customer service. That being said, whenever I have gone in person in the past, the customer service has been great; Because of that, I will give two stars. read more

Cashiers and most of the people there are nice and competent. However, I have a huge problem with the men behind the gun counter. Our family has been there countless times with the intent to purchase a firearm, only to be completely ignored, even when they have not been busy. We no longer give our business to Sportsman's, and instead have spent our money, to the tune of thousands of dollars, with local stores and people. I do not recommend this place... and apparently the only way to get my review seen is to give 3 stars or better! Now I know how this review service works... read more

Sportsman's has had its ups and downs in recent years but I have always gotten terrific service from management as well as line employees. They have always resolved any problems I've had, either with firearms or other gear. Sometimes, you have to be a little firm as to what you expect but if you're polite and honest about your request, well, I've always had good success. I'm glad the business appears to have turned around as many here thought we would lose our store a few years ago. I do miss the 50 cent Pearson's Nut Roll candies. ;o) read more

Very unhappy customer today. Bought clearance item and did not receive discount. Did not notice till arrived home. Went back in and stood in very long line for only one checker was open only to be told they could not give the discount. I had to wait in another long line of folks applying for hunting tags because main checkout could not make it right. Not a very happy customer at this moment!!! read more

Well this sportsman has lost my business. This is for the two men who worked the gun counter when we came in. You demeaned, judged and profiled us as idiots. We simply wanted to buy a gun and you made the experience disappointing and enraging. I have never came across two men who hate there jobs so badly that they choose to take it out on customers. You were unhappy to even help my husband or I. We would have been buying a gun but left due to your intolerable character. I have been a long time customer of Sportsman's Warehouse, spending thousands of dollars over the years, first in Vancouver, WA and now in Twin Falls, Idaho. I was given a gun case that cost $279.99 for Father's Day and was told I could return it if I wanted something else. I tried to return it today with the original receipt, and they tried to deduct a $50 coupon that was given to the buyer from the purchase price. I was unaware of the coupon and after asking my friend that bought it, she told me she thought it was for the mistake they made when they charged her $349.99 for the case instead of $279.99, and she had to dispute it with them. Turns out it was a promotion for spending over $200 and only good for 2 weeks in July. They refused to give me the full refund, so I suggested that they just give me a store credit so the money would stay in their store and they refused that too. They said I had to return the coupon whether I spent the money there or not. This doesn't make sense to me. Then the clerk told me I would need the credit card it was charged on as well. I told her I don't carry other people's credit cards around. I did speak to the manager as well and suggested the store credit, but he refused as well. It baffles me that they would willingly throw away two loyal customers for no logical reason. read more

Most Sportsman's Warehouse stores are almost identical, but this is one of the better of the 11 SW stores I've patronized. The prices are better and the inventory of items actually used for hunting, fishing, and camping are superior to Cabela's, BassPro or Gander Mountain. This Twin Falls store specifically is loaded in the hunting and shooting department. read more

Service is usually exceptional. I come here several times a week sometimes just to browse. Very spendy for just about everything. I can find a lot of the same stuff and brands at big discount stores for much cheaper. The hunting atmostphere is nice though. read more

I was in ID on a week long archery elk hunt, and my bow got stolen the first day of the hunt. Sportsman's Warehouse was the nearest store. I was really blown away by the knowledge and level of service I received there. Byron in the archery department was a huge help. It only took me an hour to shoot 3 different bows, select one, get accessories installed, and then paper tune the bow to my arrows. I was back hunting that afternoon.
