Their home attendance lie about their experiences. They will make your family member fall without calling 911. They're not trained to give proper help during bathing. They too lazy to cook. Oatmeal in the morning once a week maybe chicken soup they don't care what you eat all day or all week. They will break your personal belongings. When you plead to get a different home attendant you get yelled at and they send you substitute for one day to come down and then same girl again. You will not get rid of useless home attendant until she is ready to leave. Natasha would yell " what am I going to do now?!" It used to be better, now this office and their workers are horrible monsters. Even their home attendant admits that it's America and everything bought with money. Stay away from this place especially Sheepshead bay office!

Five Star stated that working with EMC would expedite my son's case processing. This was absolutely NOT my experience. EMC is completely unprofessional ... They will never keep you in the loop, or return calls. Then when you call them out on that behavior, they'll switch you to a different case worker and the cycle continues (I started out with Sherly, then got switched to Jenny). I received paperwork in the mail regarding my son's case and I kept calling and emailing to request next steps from my son's case worker with no return call. I finally spoke with the case worker's supervisor, Jose, three days before the paperwork was due back at the NYSDoH and he was rude and condescending, basically making me feel like I was exaggerating the issue because I hadn't waited up to two weeks for a return call. This happened on a Friday ... Monday was a Holiday and the paperwork was due at the NYSDoH on that Tuesday. The Supervisor asked me to scan the completed paperwork to them, which I ended up not doing because quite frankly I was nervous EMC would not forward the information to the NYSDoH in time, and I would never know due to their complete lack of follow through and communication. It's obvious EMC lacks empathy and professionalism, and I intend to look into filing a formal complaint against this agency. I don't recommend this business, and I'm sure the only reason EMC has such a high google rating is because that platform is not reliable regarding auhenticity of reviews.

You wont be given a "personal touch" from this agency! The nurse evaluator told me how many…read moreservices my husband would receive, where when I spoke with the intake coordinator told me he would receive less services. Then when they called me, because I didn't pickup the phone, didn't leave a message. I then called and asked for information from a scheduler who needed to speak to their supervisor and said she would call me back which she didn't call back until 2 work days later. Then I found out they didnt have a speech therapist to take my husband's case. I got in touch with a home health aide (hha) supervisor who successfully set up a hha to start on the next business day. The hha was lovely and I had no complaints there. After 2 hha visits, I find out that the contract ends in 8 days and I now have to cancel appointments to get all the contracted services. The physical therapist evaluator who was scheduled never called to confirm and didnt show up and called me later and will show up to tomorrow. There is no way my husband is going to receive all of the mandated PT and OT services in the allotted time frame. I'm extremely unhappy with this agency and DO NOT RECCO.MEND this organization.
