I called Ed's and they told me they could come out to look at it, but because my home is now outside their service area (it wasn't when they installed and serviced my doors and openers in the past) there would be a travel charge of $75. I agreed and a technician was dispatched to my home to evaluate the damage. I was also charged for an hour of labor (about another $175). I was told someone would get back to me with a repair estimate but weeks went by without a response. I contacted them and I was told they would get back to me. I've waited nearly two months now and still never got a response. At the very least they could have just told me to go elsewhere for service, but instead kept me hanging. This is NOT the same company I've dealt with in the past.

He noticed my other garage doors had screws missing and told me he could address the situation which would also help balance the doors. Initially I waived him off because of the coldness but he said it would only take a few minutes. In less than 20 minutes he tightened all the screws, replacing 5-10 missing screws, greased the joints and wheels, and then fixed a broken remote clicker. Upon his completion all three of my doors (one a large double door) were functioning smoothly and quietly. I was totally satisfied with his work from a quality and price perspective. I spoke with Patrick who was extremely helpful and pleasant. Patrick scheduled a service technician to stop by my house within 3 hours. Alex, the technician called 20 minutes prior to coming over. When Alex arrived I explained the issue. He knew exactly what was wrong. It was a simple, no tools required fix. Alex is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain to how I can avoid the issue in the future. I hope that J&C reads this review because Patrick and Alex need to be recognized as outstanding employees. I have bookmarked J&C's website and will definitely be using and recommending this company in the future.
