I wasn't sure why this contract like most wasn't sent to me in a PDF docusign and why I needed meet in their shared office but we scheduled a time to get the paperwork signed. Mare informed me there were no other offer on this particular home. We wrote the offer on 11/6 and I waited patiently for a response from the sellers (as of today 11/15 I never received a response or rejection). On 11/7 Marie emailed me stating the house was still active BUT Kathy Dames is waiting on another buyers financing to be approved; and those buyers offered 270k so the sellers want 270k for the home. Marie also told me if I offered 264k the sellers might consider my offer. I reached out to Marie all week looking for an update on my offer of course NOTHING!! So I called my attorney on 11/14 who informed me I had the right to contact the seller. I called the sellers on 11/14, I introduced myself, I also explained she did not have to give me any information on offers, I just wanted to confirm that my 1st Offer was presented to her on 11/6. Of course the seller stated " I never got an offer from you last week, but I got your offer today". I shared with seller that that was my 2nd offer, I had to go to another realtor just to get my offer submitted. I called Kathy Dames owner/broker of Remax (850 Brookforest Ave Shorewood, IL) on 11/15 to request proof that my offer was submitted on 11/6 and she told me my offer was rejected. I then asked for time stamped proof that my offer was rejected and she said she would have the sellers write a letter. I declined their letter; I asked again that she forward me the email that was sent to the seller on 11/6, she refused. I told Kathy that I was very upset that I missed the opportunity to purchase a home and that I would also file a complaint against her and her agency. Kathy said " and I'm filing a complaint against you for being a "NUISANCE" I told her I wasn't a nuisance but a buyer in the market for a home. Of course she hung up on me. This is called home buyer discrimination and suppression. It's been almost 24 hours and still no proof that my offer was present last week!! Because of this shady office and the frauds they have working I have missed the opportunity to purchase a home!!

The temperature peaked at 97 degrees inside my apartment. It was hellish. Management was not responsive. 2. Hallways and common areas are disgusting. This is NOT a luxury experience. Carpets are stained. Halls smell like garbage. Walls need to be painted. Doors to building are scuffed, and filthy. 3. Garbage service is not reliable. There are times that our garbage sits in hall for days. Also, they won't take boxes, even if broken down, and the dumpster is behind a locked gate. I had to take my moving boxes to a friends house in order to get rid of them. 4. Appliances are cheap. Again, not a luxury experience. Washer has broken, ice maker has broken, dishwasher has broken, AC has broken. In a 25 year period of renting and owning, I've not had as many appliances break as I have had here in just a few short months. 5. Water is gross. Don't drink it! Sinks, tub, bowl all have residue and stains within a day or two of cleaning. 6. If you like hot water for showers, you will need to run the shower for about 5 min before getting in. 7. Package service is super inconvenient. Packages are locked in lockers in leasing center. Leasing center is often not open, even during posted business hours. I've left messages for the office several times about this. I've never been called back. 8. Storage is minimal in the apartment. 9. Parking is a problem. Suddenly there are no spaces in front of my building. Perhaps someone with more than one car moved in? 10. Lots of noise issues. 11. Now that it's fall and windows are closed, my apartment smells like cigarettes and sometimes weed! I'm not a smoker! The smoke is coming from another unit. At over $1900/month for a small one bedroom apartment, there are much better options in the area.

She knew everything about every house we visited, could tell us any detail about the neighborhood, answered every question we had, responded within minutes to texts and emails, but most importantly, and what puts her head and shoulders above most other realtors... She cares. I mean, truly cares about your experience and getting the right home at a perfect price for you. This was the first house my wife and I have ever bought. We were nervous and excited. We worked with another realtor (and lender) before meeting Nikki and our experience with this other person was very poor. They rushed us through every house, wasn't prepared, and consistently looked pissed that we hadn't bought a house with them yet (after looking at maybe 10). Nikki matched our energy and brought exciting homes to the table. Prepared everything ahead of time. Took her time and gave us her undivided attention. On top of that, she recommend a lender who was able to bring our interest rate down from 5.8% to 3.8%. And, of course, she helped my wife and I find a spectacular house in our budget next to the lake that is still too-good-to-be-true. Is she the best? Yes. But don't take my word for it... I think this is very selfish. She sounds nice on her voicemail but in my opinion that is very deceiving. Buyers and sellers beware, you don't want to see these true colors.

The dough did taste homemade and not processed, so I will give them that. I just felt something was missing. It needed some oomph.
