I made an appointment in April 2019 for evaluation for complete dental extractions and to have dental implants and dentures made. Linda, the office manager, setup a treatment plan and we review it together. I agreed to the treatment plan and paid in full before any work was completed. Over a period of 8 months there were several appointment made to have all teeth extracted and have lower implants installed then later to have dentures made. Part of the treatment plan was for the dentist to perform an "Alveoloplasty" procedure - the procedure was billed to my credit card as 4 separate charges of $259 each, and was to be performed during the extractions. A total of $1036. This procedure was never performed. While extracting my teeth the dentist stated that there was too much blood and granulation tissue to continue. She sutured and sent me home. At my final appointment for delivery of my dentures I addressed this with Linda. I was advised by Linda that she would speak with the dentist and if he was not going to perform the procedure that she would refund back the charges. This was in December 2019. In February 2020 I filed a dispute with my credit card issuer to recover the charges for the services not rendered. The dental office fought the dispute and provided a copy of my signed treatment plan as evidence that the charges were accurate. The procedure that wasn't performed, Alveoloplasty, is the shaping and smoothing of the alveolar ridge to make a clean, smooth surface for the denture to set on. This procedure was absolutely not done and the dentures that I have do not fit properly because the procedure was not completed. I just want the office to refund the charges for services not rendered. Nothing more. This entire treatment was paid on a credit card and I am incurring interest charges on the money that they refuse to refund. read more

Beware! They will blatenly steal your money! No F***s given! I visited for a consultation for total extractions and full dentures with lower implant supported. The price was OK and I agreed. They got started right away with taking x-rays and had me back in just a few days for the extractions and immediate temporary dentures. That's where the problems started... When doing the extractions I paid $259 per quadrant (that's $259 * 4 = $1036) for a procedure to reshape the jawbone to prep for proper dentures fitment. After the dentist extracted all 28 of my teeth she said there was "too much blood and granulation tissue" to perform the alveoloplasty, the procedure I paid $1036 for. She sutured my mouth, stuffed a bulky sloppy temporary dentures in my mouth and sent me home. A few weeks later I went in for the implant placement and I asked about the prior services not rendered and was told the procedure would be performed at a later date. Several months later I was brought in for implant uncovering and healing attachment placement and I again asked about services not rendered. I was told by Linda, the office manager, that she would check with the dentist and if he isn't going to do it they would "credit back" the $1036 that was paid. A few weeks later I was brought in for final impressions, then a few days later for wax try-ins. At the try-ins appointment I asked Linda again about the alveoloplasty that wasn't performed. She again advised that she would speak with the dentist and if he isn't going to perform the procedure she will credit it back. This was in December 2019. In February I file a dispute with my credit card company for the $1036 that was charged for services-not-rendered. Advara fought the dispute and won, they kept over $1000 that they did not earn. I have filed a complaint with the state licensing board for services not rendered as a final effort to recover my stolen money. This is 100% factual and no exageration. Look elsewhere or at the very least make sure they do everything they bill bill you for because they will take your money and fight you to keep it. So now I have a $2500 denture that I can eat with because it doesn't fit right and I'm still short $1036 because these people are thieves and a 7-year warranty out the window because I will never go back to this place after all they put me through. read more

I absolutely love this dentist office! The place is beautiful, clean and well kept. The staff is so nice! They make going to the dentist not so bad. I encourage everyone to try it. They accepted my insurance, but I no longer have it because it was through my father. I paid out of pocket and it really wasn't that expensive. I moved to PA with tooth pain and found out I needed oral surgery during the first week. Got into a dentist who found that I needed two extractions. Dr. Myers booked me in the following Monday and the procedure went exactly as planned. Staff were courteous and considerate of my concerns, Dr. Myers introduced himself and chatted with me for about 10 minutes - helped me relax. Was sent home with explicit instructions, and both Dr. Myers and his nurse called me the next day to see how I was doing. Cost was high but worth it. read more

Was given a free check up ( of course so they can find new clients) and I was very surprised at the professional service and very clean set up. All of the staff seemed cheery and nice, even though it was 6:00pm. They were willing to remove my wisdom tooth, but I ended up wanting to remove all of my wisdom teeth, and they recommended two locations to have it done. read more

The absolute worst! They did nothing but take x rays. I went in for a toothache and expected some help, I got nothing but a long list of treatments they want to do and what it would cost. One star is too many... Went in for help, left without relief. Broken molar.. They took all the X-Rays they could charge my insurance for while continuing to cause more pain and discomfort. The dentist spent about 3 minutes looking at my mouth, then told me I had to go somewhere else to get the procedure needed after chipping away at my tooth and nerve. This is my experience as of May 3rd 2018. From the moment I spoke with the receptionist, saw the sweet lady that took my x-rays, to the wonderful Dentist who saw me and listen to my concerns, to the hygienist who helped me figure out my options to the wonderful Office Manager that understood my issues. They all teamed with me to figure out my options. I travel for business and it's hard to find good care on the road. This place is one I will travel to for my dental care. I travel a lot for work, long story short, I broke a molar yesterday and made an appointment within an hour. I was greeted by the friendliest receptionist (Janae) that helped me with my insurance company. I was in the back within 15 mins of arrival getting x-ray with clean and modern equipment. Jenna explained what everything was and what it was used for bringing my comfort level to an all time high. Dr Thorpe did a full exam and explained what needed to happen to make the repair. I was put back into the waiting room for 20 mins while she attended to another scheduled appointment then she pulled me right back in for a filling. The entire process was seamless and painless. Extremely professional and personable staff, great location close to my hotel, office was immaculate and set my mind at ease. This place started out professional. Then went down hill fast in my opinion. Went in 2014, they had an exceptional Dental Assisting staff at the time. I had a partial denture made. It did not fit right at first. Had to have it adjusted a couple of times. Still did not fit right. I was told that I could come back as many times as I needed to have it adjusted. In stead of going back, I just put it away and went without for several months. I had to go back for some more work to be done. By then, the original Dental Assisting Staff were no longer there. The new staff was unprofessional. While there I asked for another adjustment to my denture. They tried for nearly an hour. Still did not fit. I was told then, "there was nothing else they could do for me". I now have a $300.00 partial denture that I cannot use. They took the impressions. Why doesn't it fit? Then I asked if I could be fitted for a night guard because of teeth grinding. They took the mold of my teeth while I was there. They told me they would call me when my night guard was ready. Never heard from them again. No phone call or letter. Guess my mouth guard is collecting dust or in someone else's mouth. Then, my husband had work done there. Because I did not get a bill in the mail for him, I assumed his visit was covered by my insurance. OVER a year later, I got a bill for $198.00 dollars. No explanation at all on the bill. Just a Past Due notice. I called the office. I found out by the new receptionist that the previous receptionist QUIT!! Never billing the patients for their dental work. I was in between jobs and had no dental insurance. So now I have to pay back a dental bill that I thought I never had!! It is also very unprofessional for any staff member, from Management to Receptionist to have a personal conversation about their patients!! Especially when there are other patients in the office at the time! Should be conversed behind closed doors!!! read more

My teeth are a mess. I will be the first to admit that I have done a bad job taking care of them. However, with a little tlc they could be fine. One thing I do know is I will not be returning here for that privilege. I went in on a Saturday morning, because I had severe pain from a tooth that needed pulled. I stopped in to see if there was a wait and how soon they could see me. No answer to that question. The receptionist only said do you have insurance? I said yes but I don't have my card with me I can come back in 15 minutes with it. She said well maybe you should of brought it with you. I said yeah maybe I should have. First red flag -attitude. So I went to get and came back, by the time I got back and gave her the card there were many other appointments so I waited which i was expecting anyway. I get called in and the assistant brought me to the X-ray chair, I think her name was Jenna. She is the only reason why it's not a 1 star review. She was nice, explained what she was doing and just made small talk. (Jenna if you see this, run, run far away from that place, you are better than that) Eventually I got to the dentist chair and the dentist came over. She seemed aggravated right from the start...maybe she was having a bad day I don't know. She looked in my mouth and said the pain is coming from my molar. I asked what are the options and no lie she said, "well I could extract it since a root canal costs $2000. Excuse me lady, 1. I have insurance, b. Trying to do what's best for my mouth, and D. You don't know me lady, I could have that $$$$ easily. She couldn't do the root canal that day so I chose an extraction cause the pain was intense. So now the fun part; I go to see the office manager. He goes over all the work I need done to my mouth and once again with an attitude, says well if we do anything today we need the $ up front. As I was contemplating whether I wanted to give these people a cent of my money, I hear the receptionist copping an attitude on the phone and then getting off and saying...uggghh, "everyone feels like I owe them something" yeah how about a conversation where you don't have an attitude with them. That would be a good start. That made my decision easy. "I'm sorry I'm a broke ass bum, I don't have any money today." As I'm walking out, well if you get it come back. How should I put this kindly, "f to the no" so in summary Receptionist 0 star X-ray girl- 4 or 5 star Dentist- 1 star Office manager- 1 star Receptionist again- 0 star So overall don't go here unless you like attitude, belittlement, and self entitlement. read more

Initially we loved this place. Free initial consultation, staff was pleasant, cost was doable. I had some work done as did my daughter no problem. Then I went in for a consultation to have a crown put on an implant. Was told they couldn't do that, they had to have the implant surgically removed. Then we talked about replacing my bridge and some other things done to make that happen and the final total would be around $10,000. That wouldn't include the cost for an oral surgeon to removed the implant. And note that this was the second dentist I had worked with in the last 2 years. And the first one wasn't able to prescribe me medication because her license wasn't up to date!?!?!? So, I went for a second opinion and that dentist was appalled by what they were telling me. The implant is perfectly fine and today I started the process to get the crown and when all is done it will cost $1450. The bridge they insisted on replacing is perfectly fine and for now is being left alone! If you are just getting your teeth cleaned go for it. Otherwise, I can not recommend this business. read more

Wife had teeth pulled Tuesday new dentures put in same day, but having some problems with blisters and stitches, attempted to make an appointment on 9/2 to get her issues looked into so she isn't in a lot of pain for the weekend, and if there is a problem, when she called, receptionist said no one is in the office today 9/2 that can help her, fist available appt is noon on Tuesday. I just find it surprising that no one can help her and she has to wait 4 days. Over-all staff is very nice and professional. Would have given 5 stars, but in regards to today when no one is available to help my wife they got 3 stars now since my wife has to wait until Tuesday to get her issues checked out. The staff at Advara from my 6 or 7 visits in to have various fillings done, or to have my wisdom teeth removed have been very pleasant. I contacted them in December about having my lower right wisdom pulled due to it bothering me...however it was also a blessing as I also found out at the time I need 5 cavities filled. So over a course of 5 weeks, I had all my work done I needed. Very reasonable, and were able to work around my overnight work schedule to make sure my mouth was healthy again. read more

RUN !!! do not I repeat DO NOT go to this office. I was promised a service from TONY on my first visit and we went over insurance info and my out of pocket costs. I was aware that what i wanted my insurance wouldn't basically pay anything. A month later once I have the appointment the dentist wanted to go over all the info that he told me again. Also she said that they will do this 2ND consultation for free. THATS WHERE I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG. No docs office gives out 2 for free especially since TONY told me to have the $800 ready they day of the surgery. After they wasted 2 hours of my time I go the office and the OFFICE MANAGER states that she (the dentist) wants to remove 8 of my teeth. REMIND U PPL THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY TEETH. They are straight and I wanted to remove the gap in my teeth. I have no cavities on the ones in the front, not chips, no pain. I just wanted this gap removed bc I was told by TONY that it would just be best to go a different route than braces. UMMMM NO and then the price ($800) that TONY quoted me the day of surgery was no where near what they were trying to charge me now ($5000) I then got upset and asked "why did he tell me a price and I have been keeping in touch with him for a month?" they had the nerve to tell me that he just a manager he isn't a dentist so he doesn't know. Why do they have someone that is running the insurance and answering the phones and scheduling other appointments and GIVING OUT PRICING, advising of alternatives to people if he basically DOESNT KNOW WHAT HE HIS DOING OR TALKING ABOUT. You cant tell someone that the they have to pay close to $1300 and $800 the day of surgery and then turn around and say no that's wrong its really $5000. Once I was done with the first appointment the dentist should have talked to TONY and went over options. Hell she could have gone over this info with me and let me see which route I wanted to go. But it seems like TONY just pulled some info from the place "where the sun doesn't shine" and just giving it to people. I will never go here again. I thought that maybe some of the reviews i read on other sites could have been that the people were being picky. But you live and your learn and this was my mistake and trust that i will never make this one again. I felt that she wanted me to get that procedure and there were no other options. It was all "this is what i want to do and that's all ur gonna get." I did my research of other docs offices in the area and compared the pricing so it was in the range of what i was thinking. I cant believe this but i hopes this helps out other people read more
