I have been going here for several years now and I have had no problems. The staff here is really nice, and the counselors are great. It is affordable and has been a great help. This is great for mental health care, and the counselors have been great to me so far. The front desk staff are all friendly and always welcoming. They will follow up with you even if you do not leave a message, which is really nice if you are hesitant. You can get matched with the right counselor, and my counselor has been available for all my inquiries. I would recommend giving this place a chance. read more

I will never forget this place!! When I was 16 (2003) I was put in the Recovery house program straight from Juvenile Hall. I was an addicted drop out meth addict at 16!! I'm 33 now. I've been sober since completing the program and I will never forget the way that place made me feel. Like family. Like someone cared. Someone was proud of me. I even enjoyed the school setting. I was referred here as a teen who went through child abuse. I was referred because it is a "Christian" counseling service. My counselor didn't seem to have any prior experience with patients who experienced the type of abuse that I did. I felt like she wasted my time. Everytime I had a session she would have me do these exercises, like clip pictures out of magazines and she would leave the room and tell me to make a picture. We NEVER once talked about the abuse, she just had me doing all these exercises to "express" myself. I hated going but I wanted to overcome and I needed help so each time I thought it would get better. The only thing she helped me with was call a family meeting where I had a safe place to tell my family a lot of things I needed to get off my chest. I stopped going because she never once talked about God, referenced the bible, or gave me any suggestions on how I can improve my situation. This place was a complete joke and I would never refer anyone here. Side note: this is hilarious but true. My sister sought counseling here and had a younger counselor who would sit and tell my sister all her problems in the counseling session! Lol horrible. Her last session she said she could've swore the girl was high because she turned on music and told her to dance with her and be a bird. Whacko read more

8 cancellations total! We had a family counseling session for Wednesday, February 20 at 2PM. Because I never received a confirmation call, I called the day before to confirm. I spoke with the secretary, who confirmed that we were all set. But the next day, we got a call at 1:30PM to cancel the appointment. We were given no reason. So we rescheduled for Thursday, February 28, but he canceled yet again. To make a long story short: same thing for March 1. So Bruce suggested that we have a session over the phone. We agreed. I filled out about 6 pages worth of questionnaire and sent those to him. We scheduled for Thursday, March 7. Again, he canceled. Same for the 14th. We rescheduled for Tuesday, March 19. But he postponed that for Thursday the 21st. But again, he canceled. So I called him and said we can do an onsite session. We scheduled for Wednesday, March 20 at 7PM. I called on Tuesday the 19th to confirm and I got the green light. WE WERE LITERALLY IN THE PARKING LOT AT 7:01PM ON WEDNESDAY THE 20TH AND HIS SECRETARY CALLED ME TO TELL ME THAT BRUCE HAD INADVERTENTLY OVERBOOKED. So, yet again, he had to cancel us. That is a 40 minute drive one way. Then he called on Thursday the 21st of March to reschedule. I asked him if he was still interested in working with us, or if I had sent him any reg flags or anything such that he felt he could not work with us. He assured me that he was looking forward to working with us, that he felt he was in a position to help us and our case seemed like an interesting one to him. But I kindly declined, telling him that the number of cancellations is ridiculous. All told, that is 8 cancellations, and I was the one who had to call to confirm, and I wasted my time doing everything he asked me to do, like filling out pages of personal information, checking our insurance coverage, etc. read more
