Due to a family tragedy it was recommended that I contact the Bill Wilson Center's Counseling Services by the Santa Clara County coroner's office. They were very responsive and accommodating. Would not recommend working here or staying here I applied wit them three months ago was told after interview congratulations I was hired and they would be reaching out wit the next steps a month passes by and I don't receive any call back email or message I have to reach out to both interviewers had no response from anyone for a month one day I call and finally get a answer they tell me to call HR department so I do HR answers and say the have none of my information after I've submitted multiple applications they tell me they will tell my interviews to reach out to me. So a couple days pass by and I finally hear from them and they say hey sorry about that they told us to stop hiring people but we still wanna go through with you since we offered you the job are you still interested? I say yes they say great we will send you a email by the end of the week. I waited 3 weeks and got no response so I finally end up calling and ask what's going on and they tell me they cannot hire me saying they are laying people off and have shortages due to trump administrations but were so unprofessional about it the whole time they couldn't even reach out via email text or call after giving me a job offer and telling me I got the job do not stay here they are unprofessional they do not care about there staff or clients read more

This is one of the great non-profit agencies out here in Santa Clara County and the mission they are trying to accomplish. They try to help as many people as possible. Unfortunate life is not fair. This place has been a blessing to me and my family! I can't tell you how much this center and our therapist Brad helped us through one of the toughest time in our lives! I wish there were more places like Bill Wilson and more therapist like Brad Miliken for kids that really need help! I truly don't know where we would be without them! I stayed here for awhile in the teen group home they have, and I met some cool people and made a bunch of new friends when I was going through my homeless stage of my life. Ghetto here and the security was OK. They couldn't done their job better but it's whatever. Hated the counseling here though, my brother didnt. (He stayed there with me also.) I felt like it didn't help me at all and the person I would talk to didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. Didn't like a few of the people at Bill Wilson but besides everything if you're in trouble with a living situation like I was go here for awhile to get back up on your feet. The website needs to be updated to reflect relevant information. example: "Join us at our next no-obligation informational meeting - August 7 at 6 p.m." Really? i am at bill Wilson right now and this place is really helping me to be honest i am really grateful to be here the staff are really cool and Naomi always helped me out she was really nice and it was nice to have someone that i could really talk to, Amber would always help me and give some good advice to help me, Cheyenne was so nice and what i liked most about her was that she was really real, Chloe was someone that i could really talk to, Michaela would always talk to me she really knows when i am sad and shit, in all and all the staff are really nice and caring read more

I loved this place it helped me alot in my time like 2004-2005 it was awesome this was for kids who's parents would pay for it they would take us on field trips we had our own room 2 persons per room coed we had a video game room a tv room we had those pay phones but i knew how to get free calls it was awesome we had 1 hour free time we could get out of there and go where ever we wanted by ourselfs we had allowance in break fast and diner we all ate together had snack watch tv as a group it was lots of fun i miss the olden days :( read more

This place is NOT good at servicing youths with mental illness. I've tried working with them three times. Their counsellors (that I talked to; for counseling) were either rude, racist or plain mean. The first time I went to them, I closed my case because my counselor became frustrated with me very easily. The second time my case was closed, it wasn't my choice. My counselor said it was best if I worked with another place, Momentum. And now, my case has been closed for a third time, not by my choice, again. The Bill Wilson counselor assigned to me lied to my face! She told me that we should take a break. A 6 week sabbatical. It's been 6 weeks and she still hasn't called me or made any actions to contact me. I've tried calling the Bill Wilson Center many times about my problems. NO ONE WILL RETURN MY PHONE CALLS! NO ONE! I believe that my last assigned counselor was racist and a liar. I don't know why they would hire people like that to help youth. I tried giving them chance after chance. Because I really need help and they kept telling me they could help me. But please, don't believe them! This place is NOT good place for youths with mental illness. Please don't take your children there! Don't go there even if you're an adult! They are a terrible and discriminating service. I promise you, they will only cause you stress. read more

We have been with the Bill Wlison center for about 2 years now. We will soon be adopting an 11 year old child through their agency. Everyone we have met at the center have been the kindest, most compassionate dedicated people I have ever had the privilage of knowing. From the training for foster parents, to any help you may need, they are there to support you 24/7. They know they are contributing to a greater good by helping our youth find loving families. The other foster families have been very supportive also, offering any help or advice we needed. They also offer ongoing support groups for the foster children. As far as I am concerned they are all Angels here on earth. read more
