I called first thing the morning of 4/16, left a voicemail, then followed up about 90 minutes later. When I finally got someone on the phone, I explained this was an acute injury and that I'd been told it needed prompt evaluation. They offered me appointments more than a week out. That's not just inconvenient, it's a complete miss on triaging something time-sensitive. This wasn't a vague, "my shoulder's been bothering me for a while," issue, it was a fresh break where timing can directly affect how it heals and what treatment options are still on the table. I understand I'm a new patient and schedules get tight, but if you can't accommodate an acute injury, the bare minimum is to say so and direct the patient somewhere that can. That didn't happen. I was treated like I was trying to book a routine consult. If I didn't know to push back and look elsewhere, I could've easily taken that appointment and missed the window for proper treatment. That's not a small thing.

Now I'm back in the room waiting for the "DOCTOR" (we'll get to this in a minute) where I was able to watch not one, not two but three YouTube episodes of my online classes which are 35 minutes each. So I ask how long it's going to be.... To be told not too long, but let me get you in the back to get x-rays. I get the x-rays come back to the room and I'm waiting and another 10 minutes goes by and I decide I've had enough. It's been over two hours that I've sat here waiting so I go out where two nurses? Sitting staring at the pc screens and I again ask what the hold up is and tell them I've waited over 2 hours only to be told .... It's just the two of us the doctor isn't here!!!!! I WALKED OUT!! Took multiple MRI orders to get accurate foot which was when I was on the MRI table. 7/7/25 results of MRI came back & top of foot images blocked but, they failed to re order it! In addition, I had an appt with Dr Britt on 7/7 he refused to see me and did a no show although, contacted adjuster with bogus report. When adjuster knew no show changed rate to 7/14 whereas, I had a meeting with office manager to file complaint. She let me know neither on 7/7 or 7/14 any letters in file so meant verbally lied to adjuster. I was kicked out on 7/14 by Dr Britt although, never evaluated. I was sent to another WC doctor but, 2 months later Dr Britt and adjuster pretend I was seen and meds approved. Bogus! Not my doctor, not seen nor ever prescribed anything in Sept. so who got the meds? Why approve a bogus visit but, deny my actual current doctor I had in Sept PT denied? They have valet parking available at the hospital entrance here which makes it a lot easier when I struggle to walk. Because I am only here for a little over an hour. They keep my car close to the front. The valets are very friendly and helpful. On my first visit I did have to get directions to make sure I got to the right place to check in, but it's actually not that hard. Once checked in by therapy, you take the elevator downstairs to the pool area for the aqua therapy. I've only had a couple of treatments so far and while I have been very happy with the employees and the way things seem to be going I have to say that it looks like I overdid it on my last visit and put too much strain in the wrong part of my back. This has had me laid up for a couple of weeks with my body recovering from it. I've had similar things happen before, and it is no fault of theirs. However, when I get back, I will have to have a conversation with the therapist to make some alterations on how they're doing the therapy on me. I would definitely recommend AdventHealth for therapy as I have had sessions with them on at least four different occasions and have always had good luck. They now have two locations in the celebration area plus the one in Davenport so there are options for where you can go.

It's a place I feel reassured that I am getting the help I need, and very comfortable with the surroundings. I have had to use resources other facilities and this is by far, the very best.

The majority of visits were with a nurse practitioner and lasted less than 5 minutes. The first appointment was a consultation, the second to review my MRI, the third for a nerve test that came back normal, and the fourth on June 24th -- still no injection, just being told what type of injection they plan to give me at yet another future appointment. I have repeatedly communicated my pain to this practice and they continue to delay actual treatment. It feels like they are more interested in billing my insurance than helping me. When I questioned why it was taking so long and asked for a refund of my copayments for these unproductive visits, they denied my request. I would not recommend this practice to anyone who needs real pain management care. The lack of urgency for a patient in pain is unacceptable.
