My spine doctor referred me to Hohman Rehab, Ocoee, to address a Spondylosis condition I have developed over the years and to relieve the chronic pain on the left side of my body, from the hip downward, which has plagued me for many years. It was determined that muscle tightness and weakness were a major catalyst to the pain. The staff at Hohman coordinated by Dr. Ravina Patel and Physical Therapist Helen Johnson pay great attention to the patient and their need for physical therapy according to doctor's orders. Even at times, with their "hands-on pressure" over and above the necessary protocol to relieve pain and to attend to muscle tightness. I especially recommend their Remote Therapy Management application that is planned out for each patient's schedule of exercises. Awesome protocols for Therapy!! I have been going to the clinic for 4 weeks now. My lower back feels much better. I still have more sessions. My therapist is Maryanne, she explains everything. She is very good at correcting you if you are doing the exercise incorrectly. I have had personal trainers in the past and she is as good as them with explaining. You can get better. But, let's face it, it's really up to you to do the work. I recommend this Rehabilitation center. read more

Please do not be lured by them telling you that you are better off buying a self pay package than paying a co pay each time. In my case, I did not have to pay co pay each time as they had a contracted rate with my insurance. I ended up paying little more by buying a self pay package. They should have billed my insurance first and I would have paid whatever was not covered. They make more money by selling self pay package. They did not have to do the billing. Office manager knew about me paying extra by buying self pay package upon front staff asking me on two different occasions but he did not do anything about it. On principals, they should refund the extra money. I had insurance for a reason. If they did not bill the insurance, it was there problem! He was very rude and unprofessional in the past. Same thing was going to happen the last time I went there and I informed him that front staff was going to charge my credit card. Instead of apologizing, he discharged me and cancelled my appointments. How caring!!! read more

Maryanne is my hero! I moved from PA to FL about 2 months post shoulder surgery and was seeing no results from the PT there. Through some aggressive massage therapy and excercises she has given me back a ton of range of motion in my shoulder. The other office members are great and the front desk gals are always welcoming. I would definitely recommend them. read more

After giving a comment on Facebook this company removed the comment because it wasn't positive...I made the comment that the therapists were great, but very poor management....obviously thin skinned too. Might want to consider another place other than one that openly advertises it gets you out/"graduated" quicker! read more

Unprofessional front staff and management with lack of customer service. In the beginning, front staff looks friendly but in reality, you are one more number for the practice. First time writing a negative review but felt compelled to tell my story with Hohman Rehab. Per my insurance, I was entitled to unlimited physical therapy, but after 20 visits they informed me the same day that I ran out of therapies. I asked my PT (Maryann) if she thinks I needed more and if so, if Hohman can request for more. She said I definitely will benefit of more therapy but that the insurance won't approve for more than what is allowed per year. THIS SHOWED ME THAT THEY DO NOT ADVOCATE FOR THEIR PATIENTS. 2 1/2 months later after stopping with the therapies while enrolling with the same health insurance for 2020, I realized I was entitled to unlimited physical therapies. From the very beginning the front desk staff was arrogant and not easy to deal with, specifically when your benefits and entitlements were questioned but I continued with them because I liked my PT. After my insurance opened up an investigation, they noticed that Hohman Rehab wrongly interpreted my benefits. I called Hohman to inquire about this and also, to have a 2nd massage that was offered to me for referring new patients, but the front staff person, Jamie, was rude and hung up the call on me when requesting to talk to the manager since she was questioning how I got the coupon even though it was given to me by my PT. I called again and spoke with Justin (manager), who acknowledged that Jamie told him that she hung up the call, but never apologized until after +/- 35 min. of talking about different incidents with them , when I made him aware of him not even apologizing for their mistakes and Jamie's lack of professionalism. When called Hohman, my intention was to let them know they misinformed me about my physical therapy benefits and to continue with the therapies and have the second free massage. After the lack of Hohman acceptance of making a mistake, I ended up going to another physical therapy place, Ability Rehabilitation, to continue with the therapies and I am happy with their professionalism and knowledge. Ability was surprised to find out that Hohman did not go the extra step to request more therapy when needed. However, by the end of December 2019 I realized I was in need of continue physical therapy, which if it was not for Hohman Rehab mistake, I would have had about 2 1/2 months of therapies at $8.50 each (about 24 therapies) instead of $55.50 each since the insurance deductible reset for 2020. After talking to my health insurance about my hardship, they suggested for me to call Hohman again and see if they can provide me with 2 months of therapies at the same cost of $8.50 each to compensate for their mistake. Hohman manager, Justin, told me that they were not able to do it since it will cost them money. THIS SHOWED ME ONE MORE TIME THAT THEY ARE NOT COMIMITTED TO THEIR PATIENTS AND THEIR LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. Going back , about a month of being seeing by their PT (2-3 times a week), I referred my daughter and husband with them not knowing that for referrals they were offering a free 30-minute massage. My PT gave me 2 coupons for referring them. I have already stop going to their practice since I "did not" have more visits included but called one day to have my free massage. I was given a hard time by the front staff questioning how I got the 2 coupons that I had to involve the manager. The manager approved my massages. Later, I had to cancel my massage since I was scheduled for a surgery and the front staff (Dena) gave me a hard time to reschedule. When I went to use the other coupon the front staff again, Jamie, was refusing to let me use it and was questioning again how I got the coupon even though It was already approved by the manager. Difficult to schedule more than 1 1/2 week out. Hope this review helps when choosing your PT practice. read more
