I requested over night shits and "blu" the representative there assured me this was the right choice for me. Fast forward to these past couple days I was offered a shift today. I responded that I could take the shift at 6pm that evening. The following day the scheduling manager Keitcha told me I was assigned to the shift. I told her that I wasn't able to come due to me scheduling a doctors appt during that time. She proceeds to tell me that I'll be getting a write up for the missed shift. You can assume I was upset but I told her that's insane and I shouldn't be penalized for something I wasn't aware of being assigned to days later. Her and I have report back and forth (will attach below). She proceeds to tell me this job would t be a good fit because of my sarcasm.

She is kind, thoughtful, sweet and always on time and very efficient. Helen helped with grocery pick up and putting them away. She also provided light housekeeping support. But with ascent home care, they were ready, willing and accommodating! The process with my dad was overwhelming and on his discharge date I couldn't be there. Ascent took the reigns and kept me updated with everything from the time they arrived at rehab to when they were on their way to my dads to when they arrived home. Hey made the process easy. The Dr's gave him 7-10 days to live. He lived for more than 2 months with excellent care from Ascent. Our caretaker, Ariel, was an amazing angel that gave my dear Father-In-Law respect, comfort and friendship. He bathed and fed him and gave him massages. He fit right in with our family. Despite this, Happy Feelings has been manipulative and attempted to put my husband to carecenter after I left the country; then emailed they would not serve a veteran with fake excuses; instead of quitting, they made a veteran sit on a wet chair and wet bed for a months with their lazy caregiver. GOLLADAY , ROCHELLE said we are not that lazy, but this service has been the laziest service among our past 7 years of experiences. GOLLADAY , ROCHELLE insisted she must meet with a veteran patient to assess our needs, and spent 2 hours. We emphasized someone who can cook because the veteran lost 30lb due to health conditions. Despite 2 hours of waste, her criteria of assigning caregiver was "she lives nearby". The caregiver was not experienced with numerous mistakes, e.g. dropping metals into garbage disposal, putting spoons in the wrong direction to block spinners, mixing laundry white black fuzzy etc., putting garbage into recycle bins, etc Despite not knowing simple breakfast preparation, GOLLADAY , ROCHELLE claimed she is a "cook". GOLLADAY , ROCHELLE suggests her husband is a "cook" but we have to pay her husband for cooking meals. We went along with the assigned caregiver despite her lack of experience, but she's manipulative in order to get more hours to work. Then she started charging hours by check in before she started work, etc. She is argumentative as if she must be right after telling her garbage truck did not pick up things in black plastic bags in recycle bins, she just couldn't stop arguing garbage truck people are wrong, etc. After washing white fuzzy robes with black pants and clothes, she blames me for it was my fault. After I was out of the country, they assigned a young African American girl with a blond wig and hot pink clothes. They claimed she is the supervisor,but I wouldn't be surprised if she related to them. She sat on a veteran's wheelchair, and absolutely did nothing. She didn't change bed despite me informing her it will get wet. I have a video because the veteran has a fall risk and once he falls he cannot get up himself. She just sat on a veteran's wheelchair and did her cell phone things all the time. No meal preparation, no cleaning, no and nothing. Despite my instruction, the village fine if a garbage bin is left in front when pick up is not scheduled. She left the whole week, and the office did not do anything when I complained. If they canceled, veterans could have received better service from other agencies; but this agency is manipulative. Their agreement requires 7 days advanced termination notice in writing. But they are above the law, and don't even tell you. On the last day, this young woman left 15 minutes after she arrived; she talked to her supervisor over the phone, she finished laundry, and how could she finish laundry in 15 minutes? She didn't say bye to the veteran, and walked out. They also force veterans to sign contracts that veterans must pay 100% of expenses if the veteran is riding on caregiver's transportation and the caregiver has an accident. This is not even legal clause, but they think they can get away.
