This review is regarding nurse practitioner Alexandra Rigaud Unfortunately she was the nurse that helped me, she had such an attitude very calm very passive agree but the gestures she did and the way she answered my questions were ironic, she wasn't friendly and empathetic at all. She didn't even send the prescription to the pharmacy I had to return twice (Uber it since I was on vacations in Orlando). To summarize, this nurse has not social skills to work with patients and its not efficient in her job. I don't think I would normally, do a review of a Centra care but it was asked and posted on the back of the exam door. If it was not for Danielle I wouldn't be writing one. Let me just say; in the last 2 years or so, every time I go to Centra care, you pick a location. Even with an appointment the wait is at the least 2 hours. No ma'am. On this day. My grand baby was sick and I did not want the frustration. Against my better judgment I made the only appointment at 4:20pm they close at 5:00 pm. I figured they would be moving people out that late in the day. I got ready early. Thinking I would be able to chi chat with my daughter while we got the baby ready. Ring ring ... it's centra care. Danielle called to ask questions about the baby. She asked why I was bringing him so late. I advised of my 2 hour experience. She check and advised they were not packed but steady and I could bring him in earlier. We proceeded to get the baby ready, I left about 30 minutes after the call. I got there I was the only one in the lobby. I made it just in time 2 other children came in at least 5 minutes after I did. Shout out to Danielle and thank you. Dispute the power going out in the area and the wait on the exam test I was basically in and out. They took care of my baby. The doctor was knowledgeable and kind. We made an appointment for a rapid COVID-19 test and arrived 10 minutes early to complete paperwork (wasn't available on the website to complete ahead of time). So far, we've waited over an hour. We scheduled two more appointments an hour later since they didn't have 4 spots together. I asked if they could call them so they could leave the house when they're ready to be seen, apparently you have to show up so you can check in at the time of your appointment, even when they're running behind, or you lose your spot. The lack of courtesy and respect for time is lacking. Edit, now they're not going to test my husband and son even though my daughter and myself just got tested. I've figured out the hack here! Book an appointment at least two hours before you need to be seen. That's on average how long your wait will be from your appointment, even when the waiting room is literally empty and the 3 receptionists sit and chit chat. So what I do now is book at appointment, check in online, then show up 2 hours after the scheduled time and I usually don't have to wait more than 15-30 minutes. read more

St. Cloud Florida location front staff are RACIST! They are completely unprofessional, after making an apt earlier in the day at this location which I've been to often, I was treated with complete unprofessionalism from when I walked in. Mialand the young girl who felt signing was more important than checking us in got nasty upon checking my husband's insurance and stated they don't take it. Yet they do bc they just took for me and he's the grantor. In stead of listening to me she kept rolling her eyes and getting others involved. She finally had her (African) buddy tell me to "sit down and shut up" and if I was to speak like that to them outside of the office calling them unprofessional she'd show me how it was done on the streets. I was further threatened by a young Spanish lady saying if I didn't shut up she'd call the cops on me, all bc they didn't want to hear that they take my insurance which your checkin person shouldn't be worried about anyway. I plan on filing a complaint with the chief operators officer and the dictator of the hospital on the St. Cloud location. Shame on you advent health, for portraying you run a Christ like hospital, and empower "these" employees the way you do! read more

Absolutely love this urgent care... I actually get treated like I am a human while I'm here. Unless it is super busy, there isn't much of a wait time. I have been a handful of times the past couple months due to different reasons... The most recent was for my sciatica acting up causing extreme pain and discomfort. The doctor came in and allowed me to continue sitting in the chair instead of having me get up on the patient bed... Very nice! I just wish I could make them my primary doctor but, unfortunately, they do not have a contract with Medicaid. So, I have to see them as an urgent care... Which is what I will do. The atmosphere is quiet, friendly. They have a little kids area that is painted with an ocean theme. They have 2 TV's on opposite ends of the waiting room usually with some interesting shows on. Poorly managed location. Make an appt two days in advance for the first appointment of the day. First in line 30 minutes before they open and still wait an hour plus to see the one dr they have on. Handed the receptionist my medical insurance card and she looked at it and said the don't except it. Tried to explain the type of insurance it is and if she could call the number on the back they would explain the insurance to her. She just told me I would have to pay in cash. I told her that's why I have insurance. I do have a copay that I will pay in cash. I left their office and called my insurance provider. They said the insurance has never been denied anywhere else before. My provider put me on hold to the office at Advent and the receptionist said she would have to connect her with someone else. I was seen quickly upon arrival despite the reviews I had read.. I wasn't looking forward to waiting long with my 3 year old but I thankfully didn't have to! Never again!!!! Never, first Florida Blue says ins accepted however was charged not the $35 copay but $189 wth I'm too sick to care. No don't have Coronavirus symptoms therefore I guess I'm a nobody!! I had a 9:30 appt and was taken back about 10. That is ok. I was through by 10:30 - SUPER! BUT ....... I filled out the intake paperwork and answered the 3 questions : 1) are you here because you are sick or injured? - duh - YES. 2) Any COVID-19 symptoms? -NO. 3) have you been around any one with COVID? - NO. Alexandra Rigaud Aprn was my doctor / RN / nurse / physician assistant - she never identified herself. She was in and out of the room BEFORE my vitals were taken ??? She questioned me about my intake form and after listening to my chest said you answered no to #2 - COVID symptoms. You do have COVID symptoms, she CHANGED the answer and was coming at me with the long swab to do a COVID test. I REFUSED the test! I do NOT have COVID symptoms: fever - temp was 97.1 - the very nice male nurse came in and took my vitals and gave me my paperwork. My blood pressure was actually low - if I were truly in pain or extremely ill I think that my blood pressure would be raised. chills - no cough - yes - only slightly due to bronchitis shortness of breath - slightly due to bronchitis fatigue - no muscle or body aches - no headache - no new loss of taste or smell - no sore throat - no (she never looked at my throat or ears?) congestion - bronchitis nausea or vomiting - no - she never asked diarrhea - no - she never asked We have used this facility numerous times and have bee VERY PLEASED but today it seems she wanted to add my COVID-19 number to one of the many millions of false positives that occur. Absolutely terrible experience. I went in for pain in my throat. The receptionist started off by telling me that there would be an hour and a half wait. I was not busy and in pain so I was willing to wait the time. I thought that they were busy. I waited TWO hours to be seen. There were probably two or three other people in the waiting room. And by the time I got to the back, the staff was at desks and casually just chatting around, I expected that they were busier given the long wait time. Also while I waited in the waiting room the receptionist said she "couldn't find my insurance" after I gave her my insurance card, so she said she would just mail me the bill. I just got the bill and it's almost 500 dollars... aside from that, the nurse practitioner was nice and so was the other nurse who ended up giving me a shot. Even though I waited ANOTHER hour in the exam room to be seen and another 20-30 minutes after the shot before I could be released. One of the worst parts other than the ridiculous bill was a male nurse who swabbed my throat. He opened the door, and didn't even introduce himself or didn't even bother coming in. He just kept the door propped open with his foot, and said the swab might hurt, he swabbed my throat and left. It was so sloppy. I really advise not even bothering to be seen in this place. You might as well make an appointment with your pcp or go to the hospital. This was literally a waste of so much time and a very unpleasant experience. read more

Worst service ever here. Brought my daughter in for X-rays for possible knee injury. The nurse was rude didn't let me explain in detail everything. Rushed us through was very cold during X-rays with my daughter who was scared and in pain. And the dr on duty had terrible bedside manner, did not answer my questions, or even treat my daughter correctly. Never again will I go back. Walk in on a Sunday morning. Wait about 10 minutes and then another 10 after the initial review and then seeing the medical professional. Problem was a swollen knee cap. Reviewed my condition and provided needed meds and wrap. Did mess up on where the prescription was sent, but overall, got the treatment that I came for. Will come back again if needed. read more

I was informed the wait would be 2 hours but I have been here closer to 3 hours waiting. I understand I did not have an appointment but these clinics exist specifically for "urgent" walk in care. The provider Laura Cordoba Sanchez said she was gonna prescribe a cough and congestion medication and when I went to pharmacy to pick it up they said it is an over the counter medication. I am sorry but that's bad patient care. Tell the patient/parent the name of med you are prescribing. Otherwise just say that you recommend an otc med. I'm disappointed with the service she provided. The rest of staff was great. Be honest with patients!!! Would rather drive an hour to the other centra care that has better care and is honest! read more

Horrible!! I had an appointment at 3:00pm. I was on time. I sat in the waiting room for almost 3 hours. They were not that busy. A lot of laughing and chatting and not much working. I was taken back to another room and while I sat in there for another hour I listened to laughing and chatting. They were not that busy. The traffic in and out was minimal. No real emergencies. The people worked there spent a lot of time chatting. It was really disheartening and I was not feeling well. They honestly did not seem to care. When I asked, "how much longer it would be?" they replied "we are busy". Nothing was going on. No patients. No rush. Nothing. How can this place be allowed to run and operate in this degree of unprofessionalism. My big fear is if I am being charged by an hourly rate. I am afraid to see the bill. I would not recommend this place. The staff wasn't warm or friendly. You could literally die in one of their rooms and they wouldn't know....probably for hours at least and I'm pretty sure you would get billed. read more

A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE!!! I went to AH Centra Care in St. Cloud for a SIMPLE Covid test. Since they were busy, they didn't have a room to put me in to check my temperature, BP and Oxygen Level. The oximeter was a small portable unit that they put on my finger- it was not hooked up to anything-it read 82 oxygen level-3 times. It read an oxygen level of 82, I would have been gasping for air. This WAS NOT the case. The supervisor wanted me to be taken by ambulance to the (Hospital-as she THOUGHT it was-but it was a new Advent Health ER on Parten Settlement). NOT a hospital. I told her again that all I want is a Covid test, which she refused because she assumed that since my oxygen level was 82, I would get a covid test when I was being admitted to the Advent Health Hospital on Parten Settlement. I went home and packed a few things in preparation for a stay at the hospital. So the only thing that was done to me at Advent Health Centra Care was temperature check and oxygen level. 6 hours of wasted time going to AH ER. My oxygen level was a 96, I had a sinus infection. The Dr on duty had to chuckle about the whole thing, because of the LACK OF KNOWLEDGE the staff had at Advent Health Centra Care in St Cloud. They wanted to charge me $1,261, but then decided to only charge me $301 since it was a ER. I never should have been charged the $210 for St Cloud, and the additional $301 at the AH ER on Parten Settlement. So I made an appointment here for 12:00 and didn't get seen until 12:35 even though the place was empty. It was literally me and one other person sitting and waiting for our appointments. That's the least of my worries though, I know sometimes doctors run behind or whatever. My reason for visiting was because I needed a prescription for my medication that I've been taking for over a year. The reason I had to come to urgent care instead of a normal psychiatrist to get this re-prescribed is because I moved here to FL from Washington state about 3 months ago and i don't have a new psychiatrist yet. I am 8 1/2 months pregnant so no psychiatrist here in FL has been willing to take me in and prescribe me my medication(because I'm pregnant). This medication has been proven perfectly and 100% safe by multiple studies time and time again, and I've taken it for over a year. When the doctor (Dr. Newsome) came in he immediately told me that he refused to prescribe this medication to me because he "doesn't feel comfortable prescribing it" because I'm pregnant and he knows nothing about the drug. I tried to show him studies and asked him if he could please speak to my old doctor or even look up the drug and do some research/become educated on the drug before just telling me no and he straight up refused. I explained how important it is that I be able to stay on this medication but he wasn't having it. I was also having a hard time explaining what I was trying to explain to him due to my high anxiety(it makes it hard for me to say what I need to say) so I tried to call my husband to help me explain and right when I got my husband on the phone, before my husband could even say anything the doctor looked at me and said "No, I have nothing more to say to you" and walked right out of the room. I was already in tears because my anxiety was so high but he didn't care to even allow me to have help from my husband, simply to help me put my words together so that I could communicate with this doctor(Dr. Newsome). I explained that my husband was supposed to be there at the appointment with me today specifically because of my anxiety but he ended up not being able to make it, and that it'd be very helpful if he could just speak to him briefly in order to help me communicate and he completely refused to allow me to have that help. I feel extremely uncared for, and it's as though he threw my medical needs straight out the window in order to maintain his own "comfort". He didn't even try to understand where I was coming from. I feel like as a doctor, you should be understanding of people's disabilities and medical needs and be reasonably accommodating. I wasn't asking for much. My girlfriend took her baby there this morning because of excessive coughing and we both work in the medical field so we understand walk ins get low priority, but damn close to FOUR HOURS Long wait?? Come on that's not acceptable in my opinion. They said the doctor was doing a procedure and we understand, but why were the other walk ins were being seen ahead of us. My girlfriend honestly felt she was trying to be diverted away to the ER or another clinic. FOUR HOURS long wait and nonchalant attitude to us about why we had to wait isn't cool at all. read more
