I came to AdventHealth Killeen ER in a sickle cell crisis with level 10 pain. I was discharged 27 minutes after receiving morphine; still in pain. They refused to call my hematologist. They refused to transfer me. I had to take a Lyft to another hospital 30 minutes away, where I was admitted for 14 days. I have filed many complaints for this matter. For Sickle cell patients quality of life -- be careful here. Choose Wisely. read more

The receptionist said no X-ray no appointment. WTF? Is Dr. Sinha that bad of a doctor he must have an X-ray? I explained I couldn't have an X-ray because I had previously been burned by an mri. The receptionist had zero fucks to give. merely needed to ask questions and get a physical exam I said. I knew my problems. She wouldn't listen. Just said "I'll cancel the appointment then. " This bitch didn't even ask me if I had records! I wasn't given any opportunity to send them! You people are nothing but bad salesmen. You use pressure tactics and when that doesn't work you refuse service. Fuck your bad business tactics. I hope you go bankrupt. Don't go to Dr.Sinha because his shit secretaries will deny you an appointment if you don't buy the X-ray product even if it means that you will suffer radiation sickness from previous burns. Dr. Sinha's office does not care if you get injured in the process or get sick or die from getting an X-ray. read more

My Aunt was rushed here on the ambulance BARELY BREATHING. We get there and they have her waiting in the wait room for about 10 minutes until they pull her for questions. Nurse was moving in the slowest pace i've ever seen for this to be an EMERGENCY. my aunt is still struggling to breathe and even throwing up now and they're still taking their time just telling her to "calm down". We get back there and the doctor is not only sitting around but stops to take a phone call and asks more questions failing to provide any OXYGEN or IV to help?? then he leaves and says "be back in an hour" as she's still throwing up and BARELY CAN TAKE A BREATH. this is ridiculous i've never seen a hospital like this in my life. read more

I really would like to say that I would not recommend coming to Advent health for services. At this point I am even considering changing my doctor and hospital just to now have to go through what I had to go through today. What should have been a loving moment turned into such a disappointing experience for my husband and I. This hospital has its fair share of negative comments but in the past I chose to say thats not going to be my experience and that things will do great and during the birth of my daughter in 2023 it was great! Today I went in for an ultrasound appointment and the experience was absolutely disappointing from start to what I cannot say finish because I left mid appointment. Although I was calm throughout the process the anxiety and frustration continued to build. As any clinic or most clinics have now, the e-check in process was suppose to prevent the patients from having to wait in registration. I e-checked in on 06/17/25 for my appointment today 06/19/25. I was told that because I e-checked in to go straight to ultrasound and wait to be called to the back to the get the appointment started. That did not happen as when I walked into the hospital and asked for directions to ultrasound I was instead guided to registration and had to wait another 15 minutes essentially making me late to my appointment I arrived to on time. From there, the front desk clerk proceeded to verify my information already verified online to include insurances. At this time I explained I e checked in and was told to go straight to the back. I guess this was not the case, after going back and forth about information already verified I was finally allowed to go to ultrasound at 7:50(appt time 7:30) where I was vetted again for check in information. By now I am over it! Eventually I was called to the back to start the ultrasound and my husband and daughter were told to sit outside the room while the nurse took pictures (previous experiences my husband was allowed to come into the room) the nurse stated she would take a few pictures before letting them into the room to see the baby. This started at 7:55 and at 8:45 was when the nurse stated she was done taking pictures and ready for my husband and daughter to come in. At this time my husband had already walked out of the clinic with our daughter who became restless and he needed to tend to her needs. The nurse apologized for it taking so long but honestly it should have never taken that long and they should have been allowed into the room. There was not a protocol set in place as to explain why they could not be in the room with me. There was not a radiation issue etc. Overall I ended up leaving the appointment and will not be returning. I recommend going to Scott and White in Temple for any future or further care. The set up is honestly better at the Temple location as there is a screen directly in front of the expecting mothers so that they can look straight ahead and see their baby. Advent's screen is behind you and you have to turn your neck entirely in order to see the screen. Ultimately I wish I could give 0 stars but that is not possible. read more

i give them a 2 rating...i came in with my husband. i knew something was wrong but didnt want an ambulance. i was suffering and low and behold on christmas day it got worse. i had trouble breathing as well. i was given a room and they came in and started testing me. i got more blood tests then i ever had...then finally they did a scan but didnt see anything...i was there 8hrs....the attitude was not a kind atmosphere and even on christmas day. then at the end of the day after all those tests...a nurse came in and said its time for me to go and pick up my release papers...i said what....i would like to know the results of the tests and they actually didnt want to do that...but i insisted and my husband as well. so this dr came in and said they couldnt find anything wrong....so, still in pain in my lower regions which i found out later i had a prolapse of the pelvic area...everything fell down and i was hurting on all the organs on my bottom area....the pain would get so bad i was over taking ibuprophen and tylenol....i was literally being thrown out...and the one nurse there was waving her hand in a derogatory way to get the heck out of the hospital and pick up my discharge papers....so we left and i went bk home and to bed....i had been seeing my pcp and he wasnt helping me ...i was so messed up for almost 3yrs before the pain started to let up....but its still there..how can it not be there...fallen organs ...i had a hysterectomy years ago so i have no uterus to hold anything up....they insisted exercises would help...but i have another issue that pevents that...i basically got tired of seeing the dr for this issue...im elderly ...and figure i dont have that much time and they know it...why waste their time on someone like me.....i have seen some of the comments on here and agree with their demeanor.....so uncaring ...however that just means the ER area....im sure not all who work at this hospital are like that...i would rather go to seaton er as my husband did once and he was well taken care of....so i wouldnt recommend advent health either... read more

3rd Floor staff/doctors/nurses had the best treatment this past Sunday - Tuesday. If you're older the nurses are very helpful. They cater to your needs. If you press that red button within seconds a nurse will come. If you're a dialysis patient and the room is filled they'll bring the machines to your room! read more

i'm actually in here right now and I must say I do not like it; I came for an emergency accident in a vulnerable area and was kinda pushed off even tho I was in a ton of pain and trying to express that and then powering through it after being ignored. they're professional yet no emotions or sympathy . would not recommend --go to a better place if you want to be treated like a human being. read more

My daughter was seen in the ER. Tests were done and we were told that she needed to see a gastroenterologist to have a scope done. After me telling them that she couldn't get in to see her PCP till the end of October, the Dr. just shrugged it off. Now they could have admitted her and done the test there. My daughter has been in pain almost every day for awhile now. Now my daughter has to wait even longer to get an appointment and a referral for the gastrointestinal tests. It seemed like the Dr. Dominique just didn't care about my daughter and her being in pain. Now I choose to take my daughter there for answers and help because I don't trust Seton ER dr.s. The lack of concern for my daughter was very poor. I'd rather drive the 30 minutes to Scott and White in temple than to have to listen to someone say they don't know what is wrong with my daughter and not help her. read more

Care Quality sucks! This hospital is a joke. My daughter went in for an overdose and they never pumped her stomach which made her overdose even worse. She wasn't being helped to drink or eat . I hate this hospital! I was traveling and went in by ambulance for possible appendicitis and was sent to the waiting room for an hour. Dr. Jeffrey Wuhantu is awful! He was so disrespectful, didn't do anything for my pain besides Tylenol, and horrible bedside manner. When I was explaining to him about my pain, he walked out of the room. They was suppose to do lab work to see if she had a certain condition come to be told by a real hospital the lab was never ordered. Next following day I'm calling a bout a referral from my Dr. for radiology lady lies and tell me she didn't receive the referral when I clearly had the referral number from the VA. I understand that it's a hospital and it's crazy most of the time and Iam no Dr or nurse for the majority I'm sure they are trying but it's not worth the wait I've been waiting going on 6 hours for antibiotics still haven't been seen then when I asked the nurse she said I need a bed and there aren't any available I replied .. I don't need a bed for antibiotics which she said yes you do there is no way that they don't have a system to pull ppl with minor issues into a separate room to provide them with some type of rapid care or treatment their quality of care seems extremely poor and I wouldn't suggest this hospital to anyone read more

I was wheeled into the ER just after 9 pm. There were a few families in the ER but it wasn't wall to wall. I was called to talk with intake staff after an hour and a half and had to wait until after midnight to see an actual nurse. I was put in a room, did initial assessment and told the doctor would be in shortly. at 3 am I called a nurse to ask about the doctor. They apologized and went on to explain that he was the only doctor working and I was assured that he'd be in shortly. Registration came in soon after and I was assured that the doctor would be in shortly again. At 4 am I had enough and attempted to leave only to find out that I was locked in the back and couldn't leave without a key card so I headed to the nurses station where I found 7 staff standing around doing absolutely nothing. I explained that I was leaving and they immediately called the charge nurse to try to get me to stay while also trying to get me to sign am A.M.A. I declined as politely as I could and told them I wouldn't sign an ama as I got no medical advice. I had been there for 4 hours in a bed and didn't see a doctor and overall had been there 7 hours. As we left we walked through an EMPTY "vertical ER" to the EMPTY waiting room. This was my first and last visit to this hospital. Maybe tonight was odd for them but I highly doubt it. I would avoid this hospital as much as you possibly can because here's the kicker: I am diabetic, I have ulcerative colitis, bursitis and neuropathy, I'm in end stage liver failure and I explained that 2 weeks ago they found brain damage from what looks like a mild stroke. My stroke like symptoms were getting worse so I went to the ER as i was told. I saw no doctor. Let that sink in. Stroke like symptoms, end stage liver failure, 7 hrs. No doctor. I'm taking a short nap and will try another hospital in a couple hours. read more

The worst hospital I have ever been to. If I could leave a 0 star review I would. I took my dad in because he fell a week after a major surgery and he was having new pains and his spine was swollen. Not one person in the er listened to him. They let him almost go into a seizure and didn't do anything till he was passed out. When he hit the nurse call button it took them 20 minutes to get to his room and they acted like he was a burden to them. They sent us home and said nothing was wrong. We went to the er in gatesville and they were able to tell us that his hard wear in his neck had shifted. Never again will I go to this hospital. I will drive to gatesville read more

We made an appointment at 12 for the lab, the office took other patients before us who were walk ins, and almost an hour of waiting later when I asked about how much longer it would take they had to check me in a second time even though I had never left the lab area. I had an Colonoscopy done in same day surgery & it was a bad experience. I planned ahead of time & done everything I was told to do. I was given a number to contact in case I needed something in preparation of my procedure. I had to have someone with me the whole time of procedure. They called at 5am & gave me a 8:45am to be there. My escort was in Lampasas. I had to catch a cab to Advent health and my escort meet me there in order to make it there on time. The anesthesia made me sick & still not good. That was inappropriate behavior of preparation of pre-op. You don't call no one at 5am. You call them the day before like YOU SAID YOU WAS GOING TO DO. I had a lot of questions. One mainly I couldn't download pre-op instructions so I had to Google it & hope all is ok. Then the nurse that was in charge of my card took me outside to the front in the wheelchair while my escort went to go get the cat. She was so impatient "Where is he at he should of been here?". We hadn't been outside long and she getting upset bcuz she thought he was taking too long. I'll never do any procedure there again unless I have to. I had a choice. But I chose them. MUST READ!!!!!!!! Zero stars for this shit hole. My daughter was born early here and was taken to the nursery. Right off the batt the couldn't figure out why no oxygen was going to the bed. I myself told them that the green line running for the bed is not even connected the the oxygen line. After that the decided to train a individual on how to insert an iv into my babys hand. After the 3rd time of them sticking here without luck I lost my cool. But it didn't stop there. Not only did the force feed 10 mls of formula through a feeding with her laying flat on her back. Note this was her first time eating! This cause her to throwing up and oxygen levels to drop. Thank god the half ass doctor realized they are in over there head and had my daughter transferred to Maclean's children's NICU. When the transport team arrived they noticed her feeding tube wasn't even properly inserted and the much needed antibiotics and fluid bags were empty! We sat there sucking fluid out as she choked while advent nurse sat on her ass at the computer asking us if she is okay instead of getting up doing her job! Please please do not let these people deliver your baby if you have any kind of complications. For the sake of your baby go somewhere else!!!! This place truly need to be evaluated by the state!!! Might I add they had a CNA in the delivery room training!! Someone who ha no damn business even being in a delivery room. read more

ER is slow and did not take disabilities into consideration well. Frequently felt like I wasn't heard. Imaging is fine. Inpatient pediatrics failed to notify us of a reportable infection and it spread in our family and we had to all medicate and quarantine. I really have more bad experiences than good. While inpatient, I went to get a scan and my wedding ring was stolen. I told the hospital right away they did nothing. Fortunately it was titanium and only cost 35 dollars to replace. Not the point though. Who steals from sick people? They would tell who went into my room when I went downstairs. It was a staff member. Still, nothing was done. They tried to send me home completely unstable and undiagnosed. I stood firm to they transferred me to Temple where I did finally get a a diagnosis. read more

nobody but one person has reached out to me in regards of my complaint. Her name is Mrs. Rita Lynn. But my whole reason for this complaint is I took my 4 year old to the emergency room. I took her because she stepped on glass and cut her foot. And was bleeding real bad. So on November 8th 2022. At 6:18 pm. I brought my daughter in we get checked in. They immediately took us in to get her vitals done. I told them what happened and told them her foot was still bleeding bad. They wrapped her foot. Which I think caused the glass to be pushed deeper in her foot. They tell us to sit back in the waiting room because they was waiting for a bed for her. Somebody came and got us for a X-ray. Then we got out right back in the waiting room. Hours went by not 1 not 2 but several hours have went by and we still wasn't getting seen. A lady came to me and said glass was definitely in her foot still. We finally get a room and we are waiting on the dr. The nurse came in and briefly looked at her foot. A hr later the dr whose name is Sexton Do Johnathon Allen. He never taking the wrap off my baby's foot to check her foot. He just went by what the nurse said. This whole time I'm sitting in the room. Not knowing me and my baby were supposed to get transferred to children's hospital. So we can get this taken care. Well the dr released us to go home. And my baby was sent home with amoxicillin and I was told to do a follow up appointment with her regular dr. I get a appt 2 days later to see her dr. Her dr checks her foot. And rushes to get a X-ray done. He sees that the glass is in fact still in my child's foot. He is very upset asked me which hospital did I take my daughter to. And he instantly tell me they should of transferred my baby to children's hospital. And I advised to him that we just got sent home and was told to do a follow up appt. At this point I'm very pissed off and so many things are running through my head. Because my baby could of caught a infection in her foot. My baby had to end up having surgery on her foot on November 11th 2022. Recovery process has been okay. But night time my kid is in so much pain and barely sleep. My baby isn't able to go back to school until after their Christmas break. Nobody is getting back to me on the complaint I have filed. I keep sending emails and not getting any response! this by far is frustrating!! read more

I'm 14 weeks pregnant and had a seizure and they did NOTHING. They wouldn't do any tests or even check the baby's heartbeat. I've been previously diagnosed with hypermesis gravidarum and the nurse in the Er had the nerve to tell me that I needed to do a better job of staying hydrated. Clearly she has absolutely no experience with HG. all they did was send me home with a prescription for nausea medication that I already had a prescription for. read more

I was just admitted there for 3 days for some major side effects from a surgery done by the VA. Upon arrival at the ER I waited for maybe 10 minutes. They got me back and ran trays do to pain in my lower back and side of my ribs. Upon finding and abnormality they proceeded with a CT scan only to find out that I had a massive amount of blood clots in both my lungs and some Necrotic tissue in my lower left lung. The staff was extremely nice and on top of things and made sure I was taken care of and needed for nothing. read more
