Gretchen and Pam are both Nurse Practitioners and whom I normally see. I see Gretchen more than Pam, but I honestly love them both! Imagine, if you will, a man of average altitude (give or take the height of a hedgehog), radiating the confidence of someone who has not only read Gray's Anatomy but probably corrected several typos in it. His bald head gleams not with sweat, but with reflected diagnostic enlightenment, as though the very act of thinking polishes his scalp. He wears scrubs in the color of determined competence and, most impressively, shoes that look as though they were forged in a parallel dimension where footwear is considered a high art and mild teleportation is expected. Dr. Sontag does not simply "ask questions" -- he interrogates your molecules. He doesn't read charts -- he intuits them through gravitational waveforms. And when he assesses your vital signs, the universe momentarily pauses to measure its own.
