From the start Will, who signed us up, was most helpful and really knew his information. We clicked instantly and it was such a pleasure to talk with him and meet him in person. We signed up for the tasting before signing with Abbey Catering and that was such a great experience. We got to meet Will in person and there was so much food to try and luckily bring home. After meeting Will we really had a great feeling and signed up within that week. The food was incredible at the tasting, and it was hard choosing which entrée and hours d'oeuvres to choose from since everything was so good. Chuck, our wedding coordinator, was beyond great and so helpful. He was such an asset to have on our side and really made the day go smooth. He was also so friendly and great to work with. We really felt like we made friends with our Abbey team There were absolutely no hiccups whatsoever and I was so calm the whole day. David, our catering lead, was another amazing team member. He was right there to offer us food first and make sure we had enough of our share. The rest of the catering team always made us a priority too and I was very hungry after the ceremony in between pictures so that was so great. We ordered the following for tray passed hors d'oeuvres: petite beef wellington, wild mushroom arancini, bruschetta, and bacon wrapped stuffed dates. We opted for the dual entrée of the boneless short ribs, and the panko-herb crusted chicken with vegetables and the truffle smashed potatoes. All were so good and I wish I could eat them all again Our guests could not stop raving about the food. They even made dietary restriction meals for several of our guests, and they said it was one of the best vegan/vegetarian meals they have ever had. We really were impressed with the food and so glad we went with Abbey as that was important for us to have really good tasting food. We opted for the whole package with their vendors for flowers, DJ, photographer, and cake. Best decision ever!!! We had Emerald and Ivy for the florist and my goodness Mishele, and the Abbey team put together exactly what I pictured in my mind! Such beautiful flowers and we rented bud vases and candles from her. DJ Abel from the Wedding Entertainment Collective was beyond amazing! He played our songs and knew the vibes we were going for. The dance floor was a hit, and our guests were dancing the whole night. Everyone was telling us the DJ was so good! Misha, our photographer, was amazing and made us feel so comfortable. The pictures are so beautiful! The cake and mini cupcakes from Sugar Bears Sweet Provisions were out of this world! I'm so glad we saved our wedding cake because we ate it the next day. After booking, I tried to move the reservation time up to take advantage of the daylight, and numerous emails went unresponded to. Finally, after calling the owner, she admitted that this is her second company and much of her focus is on her other company. She moved our reservation time and even confirmed the new time a few days prior, but she forgot to update the new time in her booking system or communicate it to her operator, so along with mechanical issues, they were 45 minutes late. The young children at the party only had about 15 minutes to enjoy the foam because they got too cold with the sun setting (they get VERY wet in the foam!) and the tardiness impacted the flow of the entire party. Afterwards, she refused to take responsibility or apologize and was very flippant about my disappointing experience. Given the relatively high pricing compared to other children's party entertainment, I'd expect much better customer service. Also, to echo a word of advice that I read from another Yelp review below, if you have young kids at the party, PLEASE monitor the foam levels. The foam can irritate their eyes, some kids coughed in the foam, and one fell in the foam and ended up throwing up because he swallowed too much while he was on the ground. This wasn't the company's fault, and the older kids enjoyed it, but definitely something to consider if you do pick a foam party for young kids.
