I wish they would set appointments properly and in proportion with their staffing levels so the wait times are reasonable. The mammogram and ultrasound specialists were and gentle. The emergency wait can be long and on a frustrating night when I had a laceration on my lip as I had hurt my little dog by accident putting her down off my lap and he bit me. A chubby Shihtzu and I got him just wrong under his arms. I finally went up and said if I have to wait any longer I have to leave and I need care. It had been 5 hours. They were attentive and I had to see a surgeon who did a flawless stitch up of my lip. Although I am sure it is a requirement they called the police when I was in the waiting room about the dog bite. The police were upset they had been called when they found out it was my dog and not a criminal act and could not understand why the hospital had called them. It was upsetting already to be there but compounded by the police showing up. They left. The staff is patient, they explain all the procedures but most importantly they listen. There is security there and vending machines and easy access to restrooms. The parking is scary at night to walk quite a distance from the lot to emergency if you are injured and very few spots near the real doors. I had to go alone. I did not see lot monitors or good lighting. You can also enter from 91st west to California and take a left to miss the train tracks. My mother in law went through extensive treatment and spoke highly of the doctors and the care. Check your insurance to be sure they are not out if network as I got a hefty bill. I now go to Advocate for emergencies. Bialys is across the street if you need breakfast or a great meal if you are there for Family.

I feel if one manages the process and truly understands the service....all will be fine. Instead, I was given a cream. I had mentioned my pain on my left side and lower back pain on the right. This should have been a clue. I thought it was a UTI. Although the cream worked, dull pain was still on my left abdomen. I ordered a kit two days later and it showed that I had a UTI. I am very disappointed with the Gynecologist. This could have turned out more complicated.

I was initially impressed with how quickly everything was moving until 2 hours later and I was still sitting in that room and haven't seen a doctor yet, nor has anyone checked on me after I was placed in this room that quickly started to feel like a time out corner, so I got up and left and interesting enough the staff members appear as if they now noticed me and wanted to show me some attention, stopped me and really asked me "are you leaving"? Is that a serious question, thanks for nothing. After my departure I received a call / voice mail from the doctor apologizing for my waiting with an explanation that his plane was 2.5 hours late? Seriously? You mean to tell me that I was checked in and waiting and the doctor wasn't even in the building? I find that unprofessional, very disrespectful and a complete waste of my time. If anything they staff could have said that the doctor is currently behind and could have offered me the opportunity to reschedule, come back later that day or just wait. By the way, my appointment was at 2 PM, I left minutes before 4 PM and received a phone call from the doctor at 8:30 PM. The facility is extremely clean and provides the type of comfort you would find at home. Every day of my infusion I was provided with a meal of my choice from any surrounding restaurant. I received my infusions in a private room equipped with a recliner and large television. Everyone on staff was very thorough explaining my treatments and experienced in providing great care.
