I can't say enough great things about Jake Joe and his team at Echo Homes. From start to finish,…read morethe entire experience exceeded my expectations. Our project included a full transformation of our backyard, courtyard, and side yard, and the results are absolutely stunning. Jake installed two custom fire pits, beautifully laid porcelain tile, and a customized louvered patio cover. He also helped with the placement of patio pots and selecting plant material, carefully considering sunlight, plant hardiness, and overall aesthetics. Everything feels perfectly balanced and thoughtfully designed. Even though I had a professional landscape design to start with, Jake suggested several updates that elevated the entire space, giving it a more modern and upscale look. He truly has an exceptional eye for detail and is resourceful at troubleshooting. His crew, Moi and Paco, were equally impressive. They were onsite every day from 7am to sunset, Monday through Saturday, and their work ethic was unmatched. Moi, in particular, stood out. He is incredibly diligent, knowledgeable, and professional. It was clear that they approached every step with care, always "measuring twice and cutting once." They took the time to think through details and identify potential issues before making any cuts, which gave me a lot of confidence in their craftsmanship. Jake's commitment to quality really sets him apart. If something wasn't perfect in his eyes, he had his team redo it even if it was solely for aesthetics like the placement of a pot. His adjustments and recommendations made the final result even better. This wasn't only about getting the job done quickly, it was definitely about getting it done right. The end result is top-notch, and I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend Jake Joe and Echo Homes to anyone looking for high-quality, thoughtful, and beautifully executed landscaping work. (I wish I could've said this about my house remodeling contractors - no comment!)

They handled our entire project from start to finish, which included installing new pavers, turf, and an irrigation system. The quality of their work is fantastic, and the finished yard looks absolutely beautiful--exactly like the design photos we had hoped for. As with any large landscaping project, there were a couple of minor issues that popped up along the way, but Jake was incredibly responsive and made sure everything was taken care of very quickly without any hassle. Overall, I am extremely happy with how the yard turned out. If you're looking for a reliable team in the Irvine area that does high-quality work and stands behind it, I highly recommend Jake and Echo Family Landscaping.

I knew I needed to repair my backyard from years of gopher damage that resulted in lumps and holes,…read moreand poor drainage that caused my yard to flood against the house. To fix this, I needed to tear up my grass, redo my irrigation, level the yard, add drainage, and put down some new St Augustine sod. At least that's how my project started. Because my wedding got Covid19-postponed, we decided to add a gazebo in the backyard (bought one from Costco... We're going to get married under there). That meant I also needed a concrete pad. Then I also noticed that the weed barrier under the rocks near my palm trees had been destroyed over the past 15 years. I decided to redo the weed barrier, and add more rocks. I figured that would do it. That way no one would break their ankle on the new grass since it would be level and we'd have a nice dance area on the concrete pad (inside joke... Don't ask for a hexagon...lol). So, I had about six companies come out to give me quotes. As they came out, I learned some other things that needed to be done. Most of it had to do with whether or not I wanted a mini paver wall or bender board wall along the palm tree planter and my vegetable garden for the new grass. That was until Danny came over and took a look. He has so many great ideas. Just ask him to envision your yard and what would he suggest. He suggested we add a DG (decompressed granite) sand pathway along the palm trees. He also suggested I add a planter along the side of my house which would improve the look of it. Additionally, he suggested I change the vegetable garden out by adding cedar boxes and DG sand. I asked him to keep going, what else would he do if it were his yard. That's where he came up with the idea of the stone pathway from my gate to the gazebo, changing out my solar lights for hardwired lights, extending my back porch concrete out a couple feet so that my porch swing has more room creating an open pathway, moving my water spigot and adding another one in the veggie garden, putting in mulch around the new planter and around my existing fig tree, adding in irrigation in the Cedarwood planter boxes. I also had him move a fountain and install a new fountain. Additionally, rather than me having a fountain sitting on top of two bricks against my house, he built a little mini planter around it with gravel and added lights in front of each of my fountains. I don't necessarily need to go with the lowest quote, but what is super important to me is having a detailed quote (we went back-and-forth to add little details in here and there like removing tree stump etc. to make sure that we were very clear on the scope of the work) and good communication. The first thing that I found different about Danny versus everyone else, was his passion. I could tell he really had a vision for these things. He is creative and if you let him help you with the design, you'll be pleased with the results. It was more than I had intended to do but I'm very glad I did it. I hired him to do the job. Whenever I had questions, Danny texted me right back. His team, Kevin, and the rest of the guys, did an excellent job. Very hard-working. They cleaned up after themselves when everything was done. I had a couple issues which we resolved. For example, the stones on the pathway to were too far apart for my short legs, so I paid to have him add a couple extra large stones for me. Much better. That's now going to be the aisle where I walk for my wedding next year. Another thing I didn't realize is that the DG sand does get wet when it rains even though it harden initially when it dried. After my backyard project, I also hired Danny to redo my front irrigation which had been hacked together by a previous owner (Lines crisscrossed between planters and grass). His team also trimmed the large tree in my front yard. We may have another project or two in the future. If I end up doing more, I will update my review and add more pictures. Overall, I highly recommend Danny for your landscape design projects, both softscaping and landscaping. Note: he laid down the conduit pipes, but I hired my own electrician to run the lines and add the outlets. I bought the gazebo at Costco and my husband and I installed it. Sunjoy (Great customer service!) hexagon. I bought a large rock fountain from Costco. The two smaller fountains came from Home Depot. I installed a ceiling fan and lights in the gazebo. I also use smart outlets so I can control everything with my phone.

What really stood out was his honesty and integrity. In today's economy, it's refreshing to find a company that doesn't price gouge. Every other estimate I received was double or more than Edwin's price to replace 2 sprinkler valves and an exterior main shutoff valve with a brass quarter-turn ball valve. He checked everything after install, thoroughly cleaned his work area, and reset my sprinkler timers for me before leaving. Edwin kept his pricing fair, reasonable, and easy to understand. Finding an honest, ethical business owner like him is rare these days. He has absolutely earned a customer for life. I'll gladly recommend Newport Sprinkler Repair to my neighbors, friends, and anyone looking for a trustworthy irrigation company. They were very competitive on pricing as we got several quotes. Oscar was very easy to work with as we described our needs and he came up with great designs that took very little adjustments to get exactly what we had envisioned. Oscar took us to several nurseries to select plants that would compliment the project. Victor took care of the demo and construction side of the project and was he amazing! The crew shows up on time and the site is thoroughly cleaned up each day. Communication was awesome, if we had any questions about products or how things were being laid out Victor answered them right away. As the project went along if Victor thought something might look better a certain way he would ask us what we thought before proceeding. Victor's crew were very courteous and professional at all times! When the project was completed we received a plant care and maintenance list that was very detailed allowing us to take proper care of the plants. We highly recommend Caliscapes OC. We did not have a concrete idea of what we wanted at first but Oscar was great with helping us plan by guiding us and asking about how we wanted to use our space. He also created documents to submit to our HOA for approval, and he was able to make changes quickly when needed. Victor and the crew were on time, efficient, and timely with the work. It was greatly appreciated that everything was washed down and cleaned by the crew at the end of each day. They were also able to make quick adjustments when our neighbor had some concerns with the hedges we wanted to plant. The scope of the work included adding a concrete pad, extending our concrete patio, planting privacy hedges with drainage and auto watering system, installing artificial grass with paver walkways, and adding pebbles along the exterior wall of our house. Since we have a soft watering system, we also had them install a separate line from the main. Overall, Caliscapes OC was professional, friendly, and accommodating. We even had one of the hedge plants not doing well. We reached out to Caliscapes OC to advise us on how to revive it, and they said they would replace it. We had a good experience and would recommend!
