We called Uber when we read all the wonderful reviews. He came out and gave us a very high bid. $ 500.00 to $600.00 for 2 guys for 2 hours each week. He called (same day ) and offered the job at $400.00. Since he was so positive he could do the job we hired him. Over the following two months, however, the service was really quick -- around 10 mins per visit with two people, which means I was paying easily over $100/hour/person. The quality of the work is what you'd expect with such quick visits (e.g., they didn't find out our irrigation system was never on even though some plants were dying -- would have been great if I didn't need to ask them to take a closer look multiple times). Also, there have been a few no-shows that I had to follow up (took too much time at the previous customer; change of service day of the week; holiday; after holiday delay). It seems like they have more customers than they can handle. So I just switched to a different gardener who charges by the hour. read more
