Atlantic Aviation is the big name FBO for this airport and the staff did a fantastic job helping us…read moreout when we flew in for 4th of July weekend. They were able to find a last minute rental car accommodation with only about 5 hours of prior notice and got the car out on the ramp to help us unload when we flew in in a Cessna 210. The facilities themselves are nice; there are massage chairs (which sadly I didn't get a chance to try), coffee, popcorn and the staff helps you out with water. Overnight fees were waived with a fuel purchase (we took 30 gallons and they waived any parking fees) and only charged a $5 security fee along with the fuel purchase. I would definitely recommend Atlantic Aviation at the Newport News airport if you're flying in! The small prop plane we flew in received service as if it we were a fancy jet!

I had to fly home due to a family emergency. The last time I flew out of this airport was 10 years…read moreago for a job interview in Texas. Things went just fine with flight arrangements and such in the past. Let's see how this one went. I set my flights via a 3rd party with no issues at all. After my Uber ride dropped me off, I dropped my luggage all tagged up and went to the gate after. The beginning flight was at 6am and we were able to board on schedule heading to Charlotte in an hour's time. The planes leaving out of this airport are on the smaller side so keep that in mind. For the flight coming home last Saturday, no problems at all. Arrived back in the 757 just past 11pm and was able to catch an Uber with everything in place. I was so glad things worked out well with my flights back and forth. We're definitely in good hands with airports during times like this. This airport will continue to be a go-to for yours truly :)
