This course was recommended as it was closer to our location on the beach…read more We were able to get an earlier (8 am) tee time on a Thursday a couple of days ahead but clear they were all booked. We had 3 in our group and were paired up with a single which worked out nicely. They were having some issues with their card machine but it was worked out by the time we got to the turn. Course was forgiving, mostly open although they had some water throughout and mature trees which made for some scenic holes. Greens were mostly in good shape. They have a driving range and a decent sized putting green. Prices were reasonable at about $50 per person including rental clubs. They have a small grill that offered a light breakfast and lunch and some goods/equipment for sale in the pro shop. Course attendant was friendly and as well all in the Pro shop. A good option about 15 minutes from the beach (35th)

The sandwiches were excellent, the fries were crisp, and the clubhouse felt like a place that takes pride in every detail. We also had the pleasure of meeting Keith, the owner. He was kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to hear I had just broken 100 for the first time. His pride in the course came through in every word, and his hospitality made the day feel special. I absolutely love the Customer Service experience that I received from Play Your Course. I had…read moresigned up for golf lessons but before I could take the first lesson I received a sports related injury. I called Play Your Course and Karen, my first contact was very sympathetic to my situation and explored various options with me (postponing the lessons, transferring the lessons to another, etc.). All without pressure. Finally, we decided that the best course of action was to cancel the lessons and for me to get a refund. The next person that I spoke with was Kelley in customer Service. The positive, compassionate experience continued. Kelley informed me that I would be receiving a full refund (I wan't expecting that.) All in all, my experience with Play Your Course and with Karen and Kelley in particular was very pleasant and professional. This show a company should treat it's customers and I'd highly endorse them.

We saw Turf's up a few years ago and said we'd make it a point to visit on a rainy day. Today we spent an hour there and wish we'd booked more. It's so much fun! Our two kids (10 and 12) loved it. Extremely Disappointing Experience…read more Today was one of the worst experiences I've had since I started golfing. We decided to play Hells Point, and unfortunately it was a mistake from the moment we arrived. We booked 18 holes with a 4:06 p.m. tee time, but no one informed us when we made the reservation that only the front nine was open. We completely understand that this has been an exceptionally wet year and that course conditions sometimes require closing holes. That happens. What was disappointing was the lack of communication, the rudeness of most of their staff, the condition of the fairways and greens and the unrealistic "tee advantage" for women. When we checked in, one young employee (he looked 18) was trying to run both the pro shop and the snack bar by himself. He was doing the best he could under the circumstances, but it was obvious he had been put in an impossible situation. The kid cleaning carts looked 12; which made sense after the fact bc no adult would probably want to work for such an awful organization. The course conditions were terrible. Every bunker on the front nine was completely filled with standing water--water that appeared to have been there for much longer than just the recent rain. At some point, if the bunkers are consistently unplayable, it would make more sense to fill them in and grow grass than to leave hazards that can't realistically be used. You would need hip boots--and maybe even a snorkel--to play out of them. Play was extremely slow, as we waited on nearly every hole for a single golfer ahead of us. When we made the turn after the first nine, the snack bar was closed and most of the clubhouse doors were locked. Since only the front nine was open, we decided to play it again as a best-ball round so we could move even faster. On the second hole, the same employee who had been running the pro shop and snack bar was now serving as the marshal. He asked us to be back at the clubhouse by 7:30 p.m. Sunset wasn't until approximately 8:12 p.m., so there seemed to be plenty of time. Less than five minutes later, while we were in the middle of the third hole, the owner drove up and told us we had to leave immediately. It was only 7:07 p.m.--more than 20 minutes before the time we had just been given. We returned to the clubhouse, unloaded our clubs, and brought the carts back. I politely asked the owner if he would consider refunding our second nine since we had only played two holes before being told to leave. He didn't respond, simply turned around, and walked away. Ironically, the highlight of our visit was an older gentleman with long white hair who greeted us earlier in the day. We discovered we were both originally from Pennsylvania, and he couldn't have been friendlier. As we were leaving, I told him he had been the best part of our experience. Poor communication, disappointing course conditions, and dismissive customer service completely overshadowed the afternoon; however the company was great! I got to play shitty golf with 2 of my kiddos. We won't be returning. Please somebody who has a passion for the sport BUY THIS course and make it great again!

The course is struggling. The snack bar is open when the owner (rudest jerk I have ever met) thinks he wants to staff it. You cannot take the cart to your car to get or drop off your clubs. If you do you get to interact with the above mentioned owner. If you want to play golf on the cheap and don't care about anything else then this is the place.
