Okay so i waited a few days before getting on here. I actually got such a fast reply when i was looking to schedule a facial which is a plus. Because when you feel like "My skin needs this" and then you have a long wait or no openings makes you put off treating your skin right. (or maybe its just me). Okay back to the scheduling of this appointment with Aesthetic Theory Detroit (ATD). I click on the tab to request appointment on yelp and I love that right away i was taken to a quick few questions what my concerns were along with a few other questions. Because when deciding on a facial it can be a bit overwhelming if you don't know what would work. I was happy that it didn't take long before i got a reply back with suggestion what facial would work based on my concerns. I got schedule for a few days later and I was on my way to having a Dermal infusion. Day of my appointment everything was smooth from the minute I walked in, I answered a few questions and then I was taken to a room where my facial started right away. It didn't take long maybe 45min total if you count the time it took me to fill out the information on the ipad, now let me tell you BEAUTY IS PAIN and this might not be for everyone but the end results is so worth. And of course consistency with your skin care regimen is a must, I saw the difference in my skin with just 1 appointment. It also helps that they take before and after pictures so you can see the progress but honestly I saw it after 1 visit. I did schedule for another one in about a month because its a PRICEY but 1's a month you can make it work because your skin will thank you. I loved how i didnt feel pressure to buy anything or like I was being given a sales pitch during my facial. 2 days after the facial I did get a few little breakout but I was told that would happen because of the treatment from the Dermal inusion. But Heather did a fabulous job and i'm looking forward to getting my skin right and the next appointment I have. I went here for a few years and really loved it. I even purchased a laser package and when it didn't work, they honored the package and kept doing laser on me for free. I purchased a package of trusculpt sessions (I had previously had this procedure at the same location) and the first session of the package seemed different to me than what I had experienced before. I did some research and found that the appropriate temperature had not been reached for the right amount of time for the procedure to be successful. The temperature was supposed to be around 42 degrees Fahrenheit for like six or seven minutes and I could read the monitor during the procedure showing that it was there for less than a minute. When I relayed this to the owner, she got back to me stating that there was an error with the machine and that they would do a free session to make up for the procedure being messed up. I don't at all believe the machine messed up. The tech was standing with me the entire time adjusting the temperature and spoke about the amount of time it was at each temperature. I knew then that she had no idea what she was talking about because I'd just done this a year before and this was completely different- She obviously hadn't been trained properly and she was doing this $1200 procedure on me with no supervision. It seems very likely that she had done this procedure on other patients as well who would definitely not have achieved the desired results. I had purchased a package of three sessions and after the failed first session I did two more in the package. I then spoke with the girl at the front desk on the phone to schedule my next session. We had a very distinct conversation in which she said that because of the error, the owner had decided to give me a free extra session of the procedure. I clarified with her because this was a very kind offer at $400 a pop and she re-iterated that she was giving me an additional session- in addition to the three sessions I had purchased. So after I had my final session, there was confusion at checkout because there is not a voucher in the computer for the last session. I told them to call the owner because she gave me a free session. They said ok and left. Later, I get a call from the owner stating that they had not authorized a free session and that I owe them $1200. I told the her about the conversation with the girl at the front desk and she said she had not offered a free extra session, only a session to replace the one that had not worked. I told her that her receptionist didn't understand that and had relayed the wrong information. She then stated that all conversations coming into the salon are RECORDED so she would go listen to the phone call and get back to me. She called back and stated, "I can definitely see where there could be some confusion, so I am willing to either have you pay $1200 or stop coming and doing your laser treatments here." It is absolutely insane that #1 they are recording conversations without letting the customer know the conversation is recorded and #2 after knowing that their own staff made an error that resulted in an additional session of trusculpt for me, still attempt to charge me. I asked to hear the recorded conversations myself and never received a response. Awful customer service for someone that spent a lot of money and a lot of time at this spa. read more

I came here to get Botox for the first time and asked for a natural look. I ended up getting Spock brows. I came in two weeks later for a correction and the injector told me it was not a correction but rather an enhancement because some people are more likely to get Spock brows than others. She also initially implied I would have to pay for this enhancement until I asked if it was suppose to be free. I was disappointed that I was blamed for something that was clearly the injectors doing. I won't be coming back here. read more

I went into ATF one day solely to get filler and left with purchasing laser hair removal for my entire body! So far I've had one treatment of laser hair removal on my legs, underarms and bikini and it was painless! Yes! I said PAINLESS! I've had 6 treatments of laser hair removal years ago at a different place and the pain still keeps me up at night. If I hadn't watched my esthetician complete the laser hair removal myself, I wouldn't have believed she actually completed the treatment on me! I did laser hair removal about a year ago. Honestly the long term results were not that great, but I also could have kept up with it better. I signed up for the membership, which I highly reccomend if you plan on doing laser hair removal or if you think you will go frequently. I recently got a luxe facial done, and it was fantastic!
