He also announced prices were set around 50% off retail. I was shocked at the prices. Every single item I considered was 80 to 90% of new retail. I've never seen prices so high at an estate sale. I compared prices to what I found online and they were nowhere close. Additionally, the items at this estate sale were all used and did not even look close to new. I don't know if the property owner set the prices for this estate sale or if it was Grasons Coachella but I will not go to another estate sale hosted by this franchisee. I drove over an hour each way and like most people I saw today, left without buying a single item.

Went to an estate sale today in Mira Mesa. Supposed to start at 8, got there at 7:45 and they let…read morepeople in early. Nothing was priced, was told to make a pile and they'd make a deal. Spencer, the estate sale "professional", was hovering in and out of rooms. Felt like he was treating everyone as a thief. Asked him a question and was told "There will be more stuff brought out today and tomorrow!" Not what I asked nor what I was interested in. Make my pile out front and go to check out with the elderly man at the table "Oh no Spencer makes all the prices!" First and last time I will ever be at one of these sales. If you are a potential customer looking to have someone do your estate sale, find someone else. The lack of preparation, presentation, or professionalism should scare you away. The customer at this sale should have just ran a garage sale themselves, they would at least cut out the non work this guy does. If you're a potential buyer coming to the sale: it's like going to the flea market where nothing is priced and when you pick it up, it's worth the world. You're doing the work for them, avoid!
