We have some big/huge windows, and considered wood, vinyl, and fiberglass. We dove deep into the NRCAN ratings of window suppliers, and Fibertec checked off all the boxes (being a Canadian Company was a bonus). The windows all installed well and the house is warm and cozy with no condensation on the inside of these triple paned windows. Overall, these windows were an amazing choice and have held up well. Fibreglass (with glass in the name) expands and contracts at a similar rate to the glass panes themselves, so we do not regret our choice! At about the 13-to 14-year mark, we experienced some failures of the seals within approximately 60% of the windows. The first sign is frost between the panes (in the corners) on the coldest winter days (say -20C or lower). In another year, the low-E coating begins to break down, becoming patchy and noticeable. The initial 15-year warranty paid off, as Fibertech has a solid process in place for honouring their warranty and shipping new panes for replacement. The replacement panes are all built with super spacer technology, which is designed to prevent the problem of failing seals. We have new warranties on the new panes and are only 2 years in with no problems noted.

Buyer beware. When I…read moreordered the pool house, I was given a ship date of the first week of July. Manufacturing kept getting delayed. It was delivered today, September 19th. I won't be able to use it this year. Because of the delay, Summerwood's fault, shipping increased from $2000 to $4000. They "generously" offered to split the cost. With no allowance for cancellation and refund, I paid the $1000 on top of other increased charges from mistakes they made in their estimate, which I paid. I ordered a "pre-assembled" kit. Here's a picture of what I got. They nailed together a few of the 2' x 6's for some of the floor and sides. As my contractor said, this is no one's definition of pre-assembled. It will now cost me thousands more to build. And finally, when the truck leaves, the company takes no responsibility for missing or damaged parts. There are thousand of parts. If 100 were missing, it would be impossible to tell. You're supposed to count hundreds and hundreds of slats and shingles to ensure they didn't miss any? In the end, it would have been faster and cheaper to have had my contractor build this from scratch. If you do decide to order from Summerwood, add months and thousands of dollars to their estimate and don't pay thousands extra for "pre-assembled." Caveat emptor.

We decided to visit their showroom as we wanted to physically see various options available. While the showroom is not massive - it's laid out to maximize space and act as a showcase for different glass, handles, hinges, etc. We met with Tony Katz and arranged for a site measurement the following day. We also discussed costs based on options (handles, etc). Their prices were very reasonable for the quality of their product. Tony came out the next day as promised and took measurements...he was a pleasure to deal with.....we discussed not only options for the hardware for the door, heights, etc., but also his heritage and an certain unheralded singer from Detroit (Sixto Rodriquez) who is popular in Tony's native country of South Africa. I could have chatted to him all day! Our order was placed that day and a turnaround time discussed. While the shower door took almost 4 weeks from ordering time to delivery and installation, the time frame worked with our plans as our bathroom was still a "construction zone" and the time frame allowed for us to complete the project prior to installation of the door. Our installer, Eugene, arrived ahead of schedule and had the door installed in less than 45 minutes. He was courteous (took shoes of at door, explained what he was doing, offered suggestions) and more importantly, cleaned up after himself. All in all, a pleasurable experience dealing with a company that values customer service.

Really impressed by the quality of the latch and crank of my casement windows and the sturdy hardware for opening and closing. Windows look great. Got 3 entry doors replaced too. Very happy with the product quality and look. Installation was quick and efficient and their workers cleaned up all debris nicely at the end of each day. Also, their pricing was very reasonable. I am very disappointed with my experience with Brightview Glass Replacement…read more I hired this company to replace glass panes in my living room, dining room, and kitchen. The installation on August 29 appeared rushed and resulted in multiple issues, including a damaged baseboard, a poorly fitted kitchen pane (left side of the sliding window), and damage to the right-side kitchen window. During installation, parts of the right-side window were covered with green tape. I was told by Mike it was temporary to hold the glass in place. When I removed it a few days later, I discovered the handle had been broken and concealed with tape and silicone. Upon closer inspection, the damage was not limited to the handle -- there were visible cracks, deformation, and extensive silicone along the frame. This was never disclosed, and the repair was messy and unprofessional. The payment process was also concerning. Although the total cost was agreed in advance, I was advised to pay in cash on the day of installation. I paid part of the balance in cash and was then asked to go to the bank to withdraw additional funds. I was followed to the bank so I could make a further payment, with the remaining balance paid later by e-transfer. Before making the payment, I confirmed I would receive an invoice for warranty purposes, but no invoice or receipt was ever provided. I reported the damage and requested an invoice in writing on September 4, but received no response. During cold weather, the same poorly fitted pane developed frost on the inside of the house, which did not occur with the original glass or other windows. I followed up again regarding both the invoice and warranty service for the poorly fitted pane and again received no reply. I also sent a formal follow-up email summarizing the payment and issues -- this was also ignored. Overall, this experience showed a lack of transparency, poor workmanship, and no follow-up. A 5-year warranty was offered, but in my case it has not been honored despite multiple written requests for warranty service. I would NOT recommend this company.

We set a date for installation and he came promptly and efficiently installed two new windows for a reasonable price. Mike was very polite, friendly and competent. I personally recommend them for replacing the crappy windows whose warranty wasn't worth the paper it was written on. That's a different review, hahahaha!
