I have not reviewed sooner because I don't like writing negative reviews because I know it can hurt a business but I also believe we have a responsibility to other consumers to share our experiences so they can make informed decisions. I was assured that this unit would IMPRESS but all it has done is disappoint. It does not heat or cool this VERY small space. Epic was called and came out twice only to tell me that it was working properly. We are faced with using space heaters, fans and a portable AC to find any relief from the cold and heat in the winter and summer, respectively. I just find it disappointing that more locally owned businesses don't stand behind their work or their product. Are we a society that focuses on greed and not quality? My message to those consumers who might be considering EPIC, would be to keep on looking, you'll thank me later.

Nearly a month passed while the errant part wended its way towards Epic. We endured sub-zero temperatures while playing musical space heaters to keep parts of the house warm without tripping breakers. We were promised our repair the Tuesday after Xmas. Epic managed to get the furnace repaired just before Xmas eve. Thanks for making our Xmas merry and WARM!!

Let the AC serve me until it was dust and he informed me, the furnace was only 9 years old and certainly in no need to be replaced. I was appalled that the first guys were going to sell me something that I didn't need and couldn't afford. Thank you Daniel Savage, for being honest with me! I told them to send it to collections and then they called my wife and threatended her with collections so she paid it because she didn't want to have to deal with them again. I see other reviews about how rude and abusive the billing person is and this was the case when I talked to her. I would never use these people again under any circumstance. I even told her that we had just used them to install a $15,000 heating system and that they should find the tenant or just eat this service which they charged me $50 for a ten dollar filter and $62 for what couldn't have taken more than two minutes to install. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!

Dan returned my call and came and met me after work. He looked over everything and said that they could do it, but they we're super busy and would fit me in. This was quite a project , between Inland installing a new pole, wetlands issues , finally Dan and crew we're able to come in and replace everything and did an amazing job. I was completely satisfied with the results. Fast forward a year and a half , I built a house and did the Electric myself, I thought maybe I should call Alpine and ask Dan if he would look over my work. One was about 14 foot up and another two about 12 foot high. The rest could be reached with a step ladder. They charged $500. Seems excessive for the less than an hour and a half they spent. The quality of their work was great, they wore shoe coverings and vacuumed up their work areas. I was just dismayed by the amount they charged. (originally rated one star) They didn't simply unplug the old and plug in the new. They removed an adapter from the hard wired smoke detector and wired in a new plug. (less then 5 minutes per detector). I appreciated that they did the job right. Upgraded from one star to two, based solely on price.

Eric arrived on time and performed both services in a timely fashion. The units were in decent shape, but the flush of the water heater proved the necessity of annual maintenance for enhancing the reliability of the critical systems.
