Based on my experience this year with a different local firm with good reviews as well, I am finding the Pearce firm charged me $225 more for the same non-complex tax return. I questioned the charge at the time as they were $275 more than what we had been paying previously in another Texas city but was told $600 was the standard for the Dallas area. Needless to say, I am very dissappointed as I certainly do not feel I recieved any better service to warrant such an increased fee. Based on my past and present experience, I feel Pearce could benefit from taking more time to communicate with their clients to insure they have all of the info surrounding the return to be filed. For example, clients may not always be aware of every deduction that is eligible. There was very little communication/questions from them during the entire process of which could have made a difference.

On April, 4 we had a lengthy text text conversation before meeting at a Black Rifle Coffee House near her home office to go over some details & get her the documents I had. I will note she missed an appointment on Sunday April, 3 that she had set to meet at a Starbucks just down the road from her home office. I waited an hour on a Saturday for her to show up in which she never did. I can forgive a missed meeting the first time although, I do find it unprofessional. My time is just as important as hers. I had sent her my 2019 bank statements in the mean time while we jumped through the hoops of getting her access to my actual account. I sent them in a Numbers spreadsheet which is Mac's version of excel. She also had access to my CRM in which she can see my bank account activities. On April 6 she sent me her ID so I could forward it to my credit union to gain her access. I then sen t the documents to the credit union on April 7. Once I had told her that the state had put a freeze on my account, she told me not to worry, that we just needed to get her access to my bank account & she would have the freeze lifted by the following Wed. This conversation happened on Good Friday. She also committed to filing the needed extensions for federal taxes & get my local sales tax & incorporation papers up & going. On April 14 she committed to having my sales tax wrapped up by the following morning. Then on April 15 I discovered my bank account was frozen. I let her know & gave her the number to call. She let me know she couldn't;t do anything right then because of the holiday & tax deadline. I tole her I tried to do the math & I came up with me owing $1217.20. She said she said I owed less than that. This is when she said she'd have the freeze cleared up by the following Wed. After not hearing anything for a couple of days I reached out to her for an update. She replied with "Not today, but will check tomorrow more with the state of Texas again". I asked her, what about access to the credit union. She replied "You told me that you of me can't access it until it no longer had a freeze". I replied that I had sent her the number to call & did she call. She again said "No, did not call the number. Busy trying to open jobber files since 6am. This is at 5:46 pm. (I sent her the files around 9am). At this point I had seen enough red flags to pull back, so I* requested that she Fedex all my documents back to me ASAP. She said she would as well as a check for a full refund of $750. It's now May 3 & she stopped replying to messages, has stolen my business files, & as far as I'm concerned stolen $750. My biggest concern was the lack of communication. My business, livelihood, & employees livelihood are at stake & she couldn't find the time too let me know whats going on. She said she doesn't update her clients unless she has good news or something to update. I asked how could she have an update when she hadn't done anything aid I still have the freeze on my account, she never filed for any extensions, she never called the credit union, she did not call the Texas Comptroller & now I'm here with my personal bank account frozen & a tax lien on all of my personal property. the $750 was all I had to hire someone for this task & she & Accurate DFW Tax Solutions left me in a worse position that when they found me. She said I need to have more patients to follow the system. I don't truly think she knows the system. I called the Comptroller & had 2019, 2020, 2021, & the first qtr of 2022 filed in 3 hours.
