Just waiting for wheels to make life easier! lol ***Update: BUYER BEWARE:*** March 2026 I am having huge issues with the panels and gates, that Tanner installed. The panels aren't staying together, there are several gaps, the gates sag so bad they're pulling panels out of the posts and can't be opened easily without lifting the entire gate. Accordong to my neighbor this fence wasn't installed correctly at all. Contacted this dude to come out and fix it, and got the run around, once again. Always has excuses and is either the most unhealthy dude on the planet, as hes always sick, and has the worst memory or he's just completely unprofessional, which is where I am tending to lean. Either way, he's blown me off several times and I can no longer, with good conscience, recommend him or his work. Oh yeah, and the wheels... he could have told me 6 months ago he wasn't going to do it, I could have fixed the issue myself. He all of a sudden didn't have the "right wheels for my fence" and I needed to purchase them for an additional couple hundred dollars, but couldn't mention this before hand when I initially contacted him about the damn wheels.... its NOT about the wheels, its about how he handled this whole situation.

A few short weeks later, The Deck Man team was on time and ready to built my deck. Robert along with two of his workers were able to get my 10'x20' deck with two sets of stairs and railing built in a total of 18 hours over a few days. The company has done many Homearama decks, which I'm very familiar with since one backed up to my backyard. Sigh.......wasn't a fun experience. After viewing the company's work online I decided to call for an estimate. Glenn came promptly & we addressed my desires for the deck materials, design & need for a prompt completion. I received an estimate & layout drawing promptly. The pricing was ballpark for what I had been expecting for the deck materials I wanted. There could be no more wooden decks for me. My back yard faces the north, about a mile from the Chesapeake Bay. The salt air corrosion in the strong winds from the Bay destroys everything metal & wooden on the back side of the house. I didn't choose Decked Out for a number of reasons. The company I chose could do all my interior work. Not having to do business with multiple contractors was a big plus. The company I chose brought samples & boards so I could choose the exact coloring for both the deck & the rails. Glenn's estimate said that samples would be provided upon request. The estimate I chose included deck rail lighting so my dogs could see better when they go out at night. They let me be more inclusive in the deck & steps design. None of the reasons for my choice should be taken as my not being convinced that Decked Out Builders is a premier deck builder in Coastal Virginia. They are. My desire for more input & interior renovation needs were the reason for my choice. Thank you Glenn for your prompt response, estimate & layout.
