Also a fence latch was not operable due to the incorrect way he installed the gate. Regarding the latch, he was going to order another. I contacted him every week or so for status as he never contacted me. Kept telling me he was waiting on the order status. What fence contractor can't get a delivery status on fence equipment from their supplier? After over a month of no action, I texted him that I was disappointed and would just take care of it myself. Instead of insisting he would fix it, his response was "fine". Yeah - he was okay with a client fixing his problem for him. As far as the fence posts, I'm buying some cement and fixing those too. I would not recommend him. Like I said he's genuinely a really nice guy, means well, and wants to do a great job. The fence install was "okay" but a struggle to get any support from him after the fact. I'm a believer in judging a craftsman after they've done the work and have your money. They all make promises before you pay them. The 5-Star contractors are the ones that stay with you after the job is complete to ensure your ongoing satisfaction.
