The concrete decking around our pool was cracked and sagging due to erosion. Solid Structures came in, took all the concrete out, backfield, and in pavers, they matched up the existing pavers for your fire pit area, and customized a border for the entire job. I worked through Home Depot Services. Home Depot subcontracted to Solid Structures who then subcontracted to a fence installer to do my backyard fence project. The fence installer and his apprentice did a fine job on the install. We are very happy with the new fence. It was not fence panels. Instead individual pressure-treated wood fence planks were installed. We couldn't be happier. However the fence was installed over the weekend. Supplies arrived Thursday. The Subcontractor Installer worked over Friday, Saturday AND Sunday morning. I understand concrete around the posts has to sit up and harden before installation can begin. However it would have been better to install over the work week vice taking up my weekend personal time. Otherwise a fine job. read more

We tried to get a quote for a patio roof, deck, outdoor kitchen, and additional sidewalk around the back of our home. A salesman came to our home, was here about 20 minutes, we explained what we want done. We were pretty specific because we already know what we want, but instead of listening to us, he gave me 4 books on stones and products and he tried to sell us on a pool, backyard fitepit area, and new patio - not at all what we were asking about. He took no measurements and said he would have a quote to me in 3 days. After 6 days, I receive an email requesting another appointment, scheduled that, but he no showed, got an email 2 days later saying there is a delay on the estimate, then a request for another appointment, which he no showed for again. After about 12 days from the original appointment he emailed and said it wasn't his fault that he was waiting on an engineer to talk to. We finally told him to forget it, within that time we had received 4 quotes and hired someone who was happy to handle our build. Very unprofessional, zero respect for us or our time, when the guy came for the first appointment he didn't even have a tape measure and had to borrow our pencil. It was like dealing with a child. I've never seen such unstructured childish behavior from a company. read more

We are very pleased with the outcome of our outdoor kitchen. Scott and his team were professional, provided a bid that they held up to and had great quality workmanship. They cleaned up their workspace daily and finished the job promptly. The crew was always friendly to my family. It's nice when the crew actually smiles and says hello. My wife appreciated that. Scott does a final walk through to make sure you are happy with the product and he will fix anything you want adjusted. I can't recommend Solid Structures enough! We have hired them to rebuild our deck, install our pool patio pavers and ultimately the pool fencing. Each crew member who has been on site has been outstanding. Our experience started with Ryan who helped select our materials, design, layout, and even went above and beyond coordinating with our concrete pool contractor to ensure an overall quality product. He has been in constant contact ensuring the project has gone smoothly. If any site challenges arise, he is immediately reaching out and offering solutions. For the deck project Lucky and Montrel are superior craftsmen. They were meticulous laying out and installing the deck and did a great job coordinating the supplies, permit inspections and installation of the light kit. For the paver pool deck, Mariano and Gabriella were excellent with the site prep and paver installation. They were some of the hardest workers I have ever seen and worked with me to run conduit and some items that really helped me out. The entire solid structures team has been a pleasure to work with and we couldn't be happier. There has been consistent clear communication on schedule and project cycle. Once the fence is complete we will revise the review however, I anticipate them to once again exceed my expectations. read more

Having to constantly bring the initiator doesn't help when issues arrive from the company's end. I will increase the stars from 2 to 3 only because of the worker's doing the fence. They communicated well and was able to give me a stellar product. Just sad I can't give them 5 stars, if they had their own company I would hire them again. I contacted Solid Structures for a quote and almost immediately received an email that a sales rep would be in touch with me to set up and date and time. Mr. Bob Harmon contacted me to set up and time and included his very impressive resume. I knew I was dealing with someone with experience! He was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough and even suggested that I change up what I had in mind because it served no real purpose. I had wanted fencing in a area that wouldn't be of real use (security or privacy) which I didn't think about. Not only did I appreciate his insight but the fact it saved me money. A little over a week later, my fence was installed with 2 gates (like I had wanted) and it couldn't be any more perfect! The tops are perfectly level and the gates latch with ease. I'm so happy with my experience from start to finish and would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

Signed the contract April 29. The contract states May 27 start date. I called May 25 to ensure they were starting on the 27th and they said no we are stating on 5/28. OK??? On 5/27 two flat beds came and dropped off wood and railings blocking garage. Today, 5/28, I receive a call at 9:00 AM (the start time), that the job won't start until next week at the earliest. I asked why and it is because of the weather. Really? Last I checked we have a drought and my lawn is dead. I called the owner and found out that they use another team to do their installs. So basically you are paying someone to hire someone who won't show up. ---Update --- I wish I had cancelled the contract completely. Delay after delay. No shows (say they would be there one day and show up a day later). Say they would be here at one time and show up 4 hours late. Overall this whole project was a nightmare. Solid Structures is understaffed and overbooked. Don't expect a crew to come in and knock out your job because you are getting 2 guys who are working on several houses at a time. At the end of the day I was told I should be happy they completed it 2 days early. Only because they give themselves a 7 day window. Carefully read the contract. They have made it impossible to hold them liable for their poor workmanship. I ended up with 12 broken irrigation lines and a split cable line. Think about it - who keeps digging when you break a line? I would have loved to know when the first line was broken so I could have had someone come out and re-route it. Consider hiring a handy man or possibly a landscaping company. This particular company works for the big box stores too. I have a peer that manages the southeast district and verified this company is one of their subs. read more

Ordered and paid for fence 3/13/2018. Two month wait, rescheduled three (3) times. 5/23 then 5/30 then 6/5 and back to 5/23! Took off work for final scheduled date. At 0900 called Solid Structures to ask what time to expect them...they did not have me scheduled. I have to wait another week and they cannot give me a date. NEVER AGAIN! read more

Scott and his team at Solid Structures are extremely professional and do great work. They recently completed a minor repair for me, swapping out a corroded firepit starter switch and ignition wire. Prior to this he completed a fairly large project for me, building me a brand new deck with screened in gazebo and a concrete patio along with a custom gas firepit. During that job, Scott worked with me to come up with a great design. His team cleaned up after themselves every day and never left my yard messy during construction. All the moisture in the area the last several seasons left our fence with significant wood rot, especially on the 4x4s. Our fence was over 25yrs old, anyway, so it was time to replace it. My husband and I tried on our own - spent 3 hrs digging up just one post and 7 miserable hours of har effort later, called Home Depot. Jen from Solid Structures came to give us the quote and she was delightful. When a couple glitches came up both she and Brenda took care of things quickly; I came to trust them. When the day finally came to start the project, a big truck arrived -- with two 'kids' to do the job! They were about 19/20 and weighed maybe 130lb each... I thought 'no way.' Well I can tell you Anton was completely professional, walking the property and listening to what I wanted. He and Khalid worked so hard hour after hour dismantling heavy fence sections to haul away. The next day they worked even harder digging and setting fence posts - nice and straight in beautifully measured intervals. When I arrived home today I saw such a nice quality job - an even fence with every board lined-up. What a great looking fence! There is a little more to do but I am so pleased and impressed. These 'kids' did hard heavy work hour after hour for this large project, and delivered incredible quality. They are good people, and so are those at Solid Structures! If you read this and decide to go with them, be kind to the ones who come to do the work! Set out a cooler, water and snacks, and if you can, give access to a restroom. Can you imagine having to get in your car and go somewhere every time you needed to use a restroom - especially if you are drinking a lot of water? I just read the reviews and WOW !! They are probably the most unethical company I have ever had do any work for me . Do Not hire them!!! , the reason they cant get the jobs completed is because they don't pay the sub contractors . The subcontractors I had at my house were awesome I wish I could have hired them to do the job he was honest and actually knew what he was doing but when I found out what the company was paying them and I just gave them thousands for the job I don't ask myself why they don't have anyone to finish the job.
