Although their Staff was very nice, their office was extremely cold(no heat), not enough seating and there was nets flying everywhere. Upon making my consultation I was not told that the consultation cost money. So I came in expecting to not pay anything and I was told that it was a fee for the x-rays.(I was in the market for a fast races and have gone to multiple consultations, this was the ONLY place that charge for a consultation) I appreciated then doing the physical exam without the x-rays,(I did expressed that I refuse to pay money for anything) but the office was small and all the equipment was extremely out of date. At the end of the appointment I was given an idolize bill of what my treatment will cost and potentially how much my insurance would pay for. I ended up going to "Infinity Smile Dental" located in South Holland. Not only is Infinity Smiles office clean, their staff is extremely nice, its equipment is extremely up-to-date and My treatment was at a little over $1,000 less than what A-Z was about to charge for the same braces treatment.

I went to March Family Dentistry to have a new set dentures made! This dentistry has all the newest and best equipment on-site and it was impressive when the process first started! But when the dentures arrived the problems started! I kept breaking and cracking the new dentures and they had to be sent back to the lab several times! The Dr. placed the root cause of the problem on me and my eating habits ... until finally Dr. March realized that the guide pin implant did not line up with the receptacle in the denture. Probably a lab issue, but the problem should have been recognized on the many previous visits by the other dentists in the office that tried to address the constantly breaking or cracking of my new (and expensive) sets of dentures! Dr. March re-positioned the retainer/receptacle "cups" in the denture and my problems went away! My final issue with March Family Dentistry came when I brought in an upper Denture which had a crack in it to be repaired, when it was returned from the lab and I went to pick it up, it did not fit well and I asked the dentist who delivered the denture to adjust the implement by lowering a high spot where the repair was made. She said the only suggestion she could make was to have the denture re-lined. Another dentist that I went to after my experiences with March Family Dentistry simply ground down the high spot and the denture fit fine! Even though this dentistry is staffed by some very nice people I will not return! They charge high prices - which would be fine if you received a high level of competency - but I did not get the results I expected!

Dr. Moody tried to fit a permanent crown on my implant and tried several different sizes. He commented that if the last one didn't fit he would have to special order one. He left me with the last one and said it was good. I was there in March of 2024 for a cleaning. I told his associate the implant was hurting/ bothering me. He said 'Good news! It's NOT infected." Yet he gave me an antibiotic rinse to use for 3 months. Then I came back in May to have new crowns put on when Dr. Moody said, " your implant is severely infected. We have to pull it all out, post and all." That experience was sooo traumatic, I hadn't been back to a dentist in 2 years. They tried to get me to sign papers for payment before pulling it. I was there for a cleaning, and the hygienist (Christina) wanted to do a procedure I asked her not to. She insisted, I said no a second time. I had to say no 4 times, and then she said I should see the "other hygienist" next time I come. Today I went it for some major work. The doctor recommended I see an oral surgeon. I was fine with that. But I couldn't get an appointment with the recommended oral surgeons anytime soon. I asked if I could speak to the doctor again, I would wait. I really needed help getting an appointment with an oral surgeon. I'm in pain, and can't wait a month to see someone. Michele, the dental assistant who was talking with me, told me I was yelling. I was not. She said her feelings were hurt because I said no one would help me, and she did get me a few more names. She said she had gone over and above what she normally would. Getting names of a few oral surgeons is over and above? She told me I could call any oral surgeon (I know that). I would also mention that our conversation should have taken place in private. Not in the waiting room. Michele turned her back on me and shut the door in my face. Way to go, UrgentDent. This shows complete lack of respect and professionalism And I've been a patient there for many years. While I think the world of Dr. Nik, I'll be looking for a new dental practice. I applied for a credit card and was approved for $4,000 but had decided at that point not to continue with the procedure. Well, they took the credit card and used it to pay for dentures which I had not and did not approve and when I approached them about it I was told this was protocol, that is absurd I never consented to them to use the credit card for that purpose. I had to take them to small claims court to get this matter resolved. Please do not go to that dentist office for services they are horrible. Christy may be the new hygienist on the block (at the practice ...lol) but she brings a wealth of experience with her. She's great!! She offered advice to me about things I could do to improve my oral health based on things she knew from past experience. What a gem!! I highly recommend this dental practice!
