Compton and Broomhead Dental Center is fantastic. All of the staff are so friendly. Their office and equipment is clean and modern. Be aware that their office is not part of any dental network so you will have a balance due if your insurance does not cover all costs. That is not a problem for us because when we get the bill we pay it. We having been going here for over 10 years and never a problem. read more

I cannot speak highly enough about the services- not only the amazing quality of the services but also the kindness and empathy and understanding when providing home health dental care. Janna went ABOVE AND BEYOND to keep my family updated on the care of a love one who resides in assisted living. There was significant distress around a high need exam and from the first phone call Janna listened and validated and helped me sort everything out. Then, since I could not be there for appt she walked me through everything and then helped me plan for ways she could video call me to support my loved during an exam. Dr. Eric did an amazing job communicating to me while doing the exam and Janna continued to be the smiling face that both my family member and me both needed. So, I needed to be seen quick do to poor service from another Dental facility. I called, was scheduled for the next day bright and early, I was at least 15 minutes late (rough morning) and they treated me like I was early and royalty!!!! I ended up having to get a root canal and it took forever because my mouth wouldnt stay numb. They never once sighed, left me in the chair too long, left to go attend other patients but ensured my comfort level was met and got the job done right!!!!! I saw someone else post about suggestions for a new Dental office and their name kept popping up, soooo I gave them a try and whelp, Ive found my new home! Think Dr Compton has defined " Not Going As Planned " for me . He did to my teeth everything that was never planned in the treatment plan for my teeth . My partner had to have his wisdom teeth removed and fast. We took a gamble and went to the first place we googled, which was Compton and Broomhead Dental Center. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. They efficiently and clearly explained the cost and payment options of his surgery. Since then, We have both made this our dentist office. Your regularly scheduled teeth cleaning comes with a hand massage with paraffin wax!! Luxurious! I am in the middle of my Invisaline treatment. But...I'm not talking about ANY dentist, of course! Ask for Dr. Mark Not only is this place immaculately clean, but Dr. Mark's hygienist, Laura ,did a fabulous job with my cleaning. PLUS---As Laura was making my pearly whites sparkle, Dr. Mark's other assistant (Don't know her name! Whoopsie.) is a clinical massage therapist. Both of my hands got an AMAZING rub-down PLUS a paraffin-wax treatment. (This was so great because it was the middle of the worst winter...ever!) Come on! Are you SERIOUS? I have been going to this dental practice for a while now. My dental hygienist is awesome! I have had cavities filled, a gum graft done and a crown in the past. I have TMJ and issues with keeping my mouth open for long periods of time. They have done everything they can to make me as comfortable as possible every time I come in. The staff is funny and fun to chat with everyone is super friendly. I totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a dentist where they can feel comfortable. read more

I've been going here since I was a little kid. Back then, the perk was that you got to pick from the treasure chest after your appointment. I was obsessed with bouncy balls. Now, since I'm a big kid....I get a hand massage & paraffin wax treatment while I get teeth cleanings/cavities filled. It's a great distraction. They never deny me laughing gas when I want it either. read more

I loved my appointment with this place. The entire office was very clean and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The staff were very friendly, I enjoyed the hand massage and paraffin wax, and had the most pain free cleaning & xrays ever. HOWEVER, when I called to set up the appointment, I asked if they took our insurance. They said yes. And they do but they neglected to tell me that they are not on anyone's dental insurance plans so any charges above the insurance pay out is our responsibility. My final cost above my insurance was way too high for me to continue going to Compton Dental. I wish I had known that before I incurred the charges. read more

Went to Dr. Mark Broomhead based on a referral from a good friend. I had cracked a tooth and wanted it fixed ASAP. They were able to squeeze me in, despite the busy time of year. Dr. Mark was awesome! Very thorough and great bedside manner. He talked me through everything before actually doing it so that I knew what to expect. I ended up needing a crown. It was surprisingly not that bad. I also enjoyed the complimentary hand massage and hand wax treatment during my cleaning. Who knew this existed at a dental office?!?! Not me! Amazing! I highly recommend this place! Ask for Dr. Mark if you can, although I'm sure all the dentists there are good as well. read more

I have been to this dental practice 3 times in the last 18 months or so. My prediction for the number of visits I plan on making in the next 18 months is "0". Let me explain why. I first came to Compton when my long time (30 year) dentist was not available to re-cement a cap that fell off. My first visit to Compton to take care of this issue was a perfect visit. They got me scheduled right away, were very pleasant when I arrived, and even provided a little swag bag of goodies as a first time patient. The charges for this service was about what I figured it would be. The dentist who worked on me (don't remember his name, and he is no longer there, which is another issue, as it appears they have a fairly high turnover of dentists) was pleasant and efficient. My second visit, which happened to be for the same thing (I knew and they reiterated that the re-cementing was just temporary), also was fairly uneventful. I also knew that this would require a payment at time of service. Again, a different dentist, but the job got done with no issue. In fact, we had conversations of me transferring me to this practice going forward, as their hours were decent, and they seemed to be fairly capable. We discussed getting a workup with xrays, and putting a plan in place to take care of some much needed dental work. I knew my current dentist would be retiring soon, and thought this would be a good time to transition to a new dentist. Now, for the 3rd time, I was greeted the same way (nice, friendly reception etc), was put in the chair for another re-cementing job, and met the namesake of this practice, as he began to examine my teeth, along with his assistant. All of a sudden, someone from the front desk came over (while I was reclined in the chair, with the ubiquitous napkin wrapped around my neck, and the examination lights trained on my mouth), and started whispering to the assistant. The dentist left the area, the assistant turned off the light and said that someone in the "business office" needed to speak with me. The person came over and said "you have a balance that needs to be paid prior to this work being performed". Really? OK, well I knew the insurance may not have paid 100% of my earlier visit, and I planned on paying for all services when I was done with this day's service (as I had on my previous service dates). But, instead, I had to provide them with payment at that time (mind you, I had already visited the front desk upon my arrival and there was no mention of any balance owed, or I would have gladly paid it at that time, or informed them that I would pay any balance, including that day's service, at the conclusion of my visit.) So, payment was made, then back in the chair, and Dr. Compton and his assistant began the process again of the work planned for that visit. I left the building, made an appointment for the comprehensive workup for xrays and a consultation and left a little perturbed but still willing to transfer to this dental office. With my comprehensive consultation approaching, I had to call Compton to advise that I had a business trip come up and would not be able to make this appointment (which was scheduled 2 days from that time. Certainly, ample notice to reschedule an appointment). The lady at the appointment counter that took my call said, "you know, you have cancelled and rescheduled many times in the past". Well, yes, I have. The key word is that I had called and had to reschedule, but again, I always called with at least 48 hours notice. But, here she was berating me for having to reschedule again. After a couple of minutes of this conversation, I knew that there was no way that I was going to transition to this dental practice. Perhaps in her little world, she does not have any commitments that require moving her appointments around. In my world I do. And, all of my service providers (doctors, lawyers etc) understand this aspect and certainly do not scold me for having to reschedule an appointment. The irony of this is that about 2 weeks after this last scheduled appointment (which by the way, I cancelled during the rude phone call, without rescheduling it), I received a call from this office saying "we have a couple of openings today that came up, and if you are available, we would like to get you in for your consultation". Not a chance. In fact, I imagine it is quite possible those openings came about for similar customer dis-service issues, similar to what occurred with me. The only reason I gave this clinic 2 stars was because for my previous visits they were cordial and presented a nice customer service approach. However, with the fact that in mid exam they stopped the exam requesting payment be made before the exam continued AND the fact that I was berated by their appointment handler for having to once again reschedule an appointment, the decision was easy that Compton Dental was not going to have an opportunity to insult me again. read more

Dr. Eric Compton and staff are absolutely the best!!!! I've only been a patient for about 8 months now and wish I would have known about this wonderful dental office many years ago. Dr. Compton makes you feel very comfortable especially those of us who break out in hives when its time to go to the dentist, well fear no more cause Dr. Compton is the best !! I've had 3 cavities a root canal and 2 crowns with not even a pinch of pain and my crowns look beautiful. I need a lot more work done on my old bridge and a few old crowns and I'm actually looking forward to my next appointment. All of the doctors assistants and staff are extremely nice, friendly and professional. I've also had my teeth cleaned by Barb who is super nice and very gentle, I have to say I have never had such a thorough teeth cleaning in my entire life until Barb, and while you are getting your teeth cleaned they have a massage therapist massaging your hands and then dip them in paraffin wax, it's awesome !!!!
