Unfortunately, I had a scheduled cleaning and the doctor was at minimum 45 minutes behind and the scheduler could care less about the inconvenience or lack of time management. I love my dentist - Dr. Nik is great. He explains things and is caring. The office staff? Not so much. I was there for a cleaning, and the hygienist (Christina) wanted to do a procedure I asked her not to. She insisted, I said no a second time. I had to say no 4 times, and then she said I should see the "other hygienist" next time I come. Today I went it for some major work. The doctor recommended I see an oral surgeon. I was fine with that. But I couldn't get an appointment with the recommended oral surgeons anytime soon. I asked if I could speak to the doctor again, I would wait. I really needed help getting an appointment with an oral surgeon. I'm in pain, and can't wait a month to see someone. Michele, the dental assistant who was talking with me, told me I was yelling. I was not. She said her feelings were hurt because I said no one would help me, and she did get me a few more names. She said she had gone over and above what she normally would. Getting names of a few oral surgeons is over and above? She told me I could call any oral surgeon (I know that). I would also mention that our conversation should have taken place in private. Not in the waiting room. Michele turned her back on me and shut the door in my face. Way to go, UrgentDent. This shows complete lack of respect and professionalism And I've been a patient there for many years. While I think the world of Dr. Nik, I'll be looking for a new dental practice. Beware! Told they accepted our insurance, paid what was requested "after insurance " every visit. Not 7 months later get hit with a big bill yet never received a bill before. If we had received a statement and found out they didn't accept what our insurance paid we would have ended the relationship after the first or second visit. They inferred one thing but did another after several months in order to run up a bill yet never sent a bill or statement or told us a week ago when in the office. Totally misled. Beware!! read more

Had teeth extracted, which went fine, but when I tried to fill the prescription for pain meds, my insurance required prior authorization. They refused to call my insurer to do prior authorization, so I'm stuck with no pain meds. Really ridiculous that they weren't willing to make one simple phone call. read more

They seemed friendly and motivated to do their jobs as well as provide quality dental work. If you have fears about the dentist as I did due to having bad dental work in the past or because of rude employees, this is the dental clinic to go to. I had Dr. Ramez for an emergency wisdom tooth extraction and let me say that I am so happy that I did. I hate the dentist. Ghetto/ unprofessional front staff. Place is just sketchy as the entrance is in the back of the building. Poorly dressed and not presenting themselves as front desk medical professionals should. We came all the way from Valpo for my fiance's cracked tooth and when we got there we were turned away because we did not have masks. We kindly asked if they had some and the ghetto front staff replied "there's two signs on the door saying you need a mask" and continued to tell us they wouldnt provide us with masks. my fiance' was so disgusted by the response that he canceled his appointment then and there and we walked out. read more

DO NOT GO HERE FOR EXTRACTIONS!!!! I have my two wisdom teeth extracted and I was still in crippling pain 7 days later. Went back to be examined after following their directions to the T, and still developed dry socket, just for them to tell me that it is "normal" and "common!" They supposedly corrected my issue with a follow up that put me in even more excruciating pain after having to clean out my extraction site and packing it, all for the packing to come out 10 min after leaving the appointment. I called to ask if this was common and they told me yes and that there's was nothing else that they can do for my pain. Now I have to go to work with my nerves and bone exposed until it "heals" on its own read more

I was to get a tooth extracted because I was having a heart procedure done that upcoming week, the tech who took me back had a bad attitude telling me they were short staffed, I asked her to take an x-ray of a different tooth so I could get everything done, she refused. Dr. Sajjad did a pain-free extraction for a bad tooth I had. I have come here for several emergencies and highly recommend as your regular dentist isn't qualified to do an extraction so they have to send you to someone else, wasting two office calls instead of one by going directly to the urgentdent. They also do general dentistry, teeth cleaning, etc. so you may find like me one dentist for everything. They will contact your insurance company and give you an exact figure up front - no surprises. read more

If u make a app with them they will tell u its ok to bring ur kids but then on the day when u have ur kids with u they wont c u! They were good with my kids but they messed up app. for them bc the dentist was not in on the days they made a app for him! Worst place ever!!! I started treatment back in 9/12. I had put 1000.00 down, and then was supposed to have final appointment in 11/12 and pay 2nd 1000.00. I had lost my job and with the holidays I didn't have it so I cancelled my appointment until I had the money again. My temporary fell off in January so I called in which they show that note. They said they can let me pay 135.08 a month. I said okay but i want them to file a pre tx estimate to my insurance first. They just said they don't do pre-tx estimtes They never said at this point no just come in pay the 138.05 because if it fell off the permanent won't fit if you wait. NEVER SAID THAT. I wanted to know what my actual oop expense would be. So I called insurance, they can only give me estimate of what would be covered- they asked me to have the office to submit a claim, which is what they should have done initially. Anyway, I called the office and they then faxed the claim to insurance. So I got eob from insurance that I should only owe 349 after my initial 1000.00 was paid and after what insurance estimates to pay. So I thought okay I will make my appointment pay the 135.08 and then when they file insurance will pay off balance when I get eob, or make a couple payments till paid off. So when I went in for appointment today my final impression didn't fit anymore due to shifting of teeth. They said they will not do my bridge now until I pay for tx in full 880. which is funny since they never filed to insurance that was estimate amount. I said why don't I just pay the one payment you file to insurance and get your whatever the amount then I will make payments they said NO! We need payment upfront that's how we do it. Gee why would they tell me I can do payments then. You know I understand that partial treatment was done on this, but they really should have worked with me back then. I have no problem paying anyone what I owe them. So now i paid 1000.00 I will never get back and supposedly owe them for 1621.00. What about the customers always right, I was going to put it behind me and just finish with this place now everyone will know not to go there. Go to legit place of service. read more
