There are times that I have come in that they've gotten me in right away. The last time, though I went in for a postop check up and had to wait for the surgeon. The surgeon is only there one day a week so I get it. That being said my appointment was at 10 and they told me to come at 9:30. I did that and I wasn't seen until almost 1130. That being said I had a quick x-ray done of my mouth and they were just basically checking to see if my mouth was OK to start doing the implants and make an appointment for that. I am not kidding you I think the surgeon was in the office in my room for about 2 to 3 minutes. He just looked in my mouth and had looked at the x-rays before he had walked in and said oh I understand you're in a hurry to get back to work, your mouth looks fine. We can go ahead with the implants. And that was it. Such a long waiting time to see somebody for like two or three minutes. That was ridiculous. So that's the bad but the good is that they're really nice. Another bad thing is they don't have nitrous oxide so nothing to get you to relax before a dental procedure. They just numb you up and go from there. Though I've recently switched dentist lately and only went to Aspen to get implants. Even my dentist doesn't use nitro sock side. My old dentist did it did make the experience much easier for me to deal with since I have TMJ And it made me relaxed enough to keep my mouth open for a longer period of time. read more

While they pull you in with a $29 exam and X-ray(s). Beware. Their charges are so inflated, office is horrible. We went in with no insurance thinking pricing would be in affordable. Need a filling and a crown (apparently) along with wisdom teeth extraction (apparently). They proceeded to tell us it will cost $7,000! That is extremely out of range for those services. I wonder how many others use their exam and recommendations as the final. I would get a 2nd opinion , maybe 3rd, which is what we will do. read more

my dentist retired and i had to find a new dentist. i have gotten my tooth pull here once so i thought lets give this place a try. i went in for a cleaning. they did x-rays and exam and told me that i had periodontal disease and i could no longer get a regular cleaning anymore. that i will always need these special cleanings for the rest of my life. i got put into a finance office and was told i had to pay for my cleaning up front and the total would be $1300 out of pocket that's with insurance covering half of it already. i didnt know any better so i paid the $1300 up front. i got home and felt something was wrong about this. so i called and canceled my appointment and asked for my money back. i asked if i could have just a normal cleaning and i was denied that and said that legally they can't do any other cleanings but this deep clean because it's against the law to do a normal cleaning now because i have periodontal disease. i got my money back and decided to go get a second option because i have never had teeth problems. i went to a new dentist office and told them what this dentist office told me. they did thier own exam and confirmed that what they are saying is false. that i do not have periodontal disease at all. so sure enough i got to schedule my regular cleaning and as of yesterday my teeth have been completely cleaned and all i had to pay was $69. my point to this review is don't get scammed by this office. look elsewhere and don't believe what they say. I knew there is something off about how this dentist cornered me and forced me to pay up front. my gut was telling me something was wrong and sure enough they are liars and just out to get money. my new dentist said that if i would of went with there decision at this office and got that deep cleaning they said i had to have. the insurance would of denied the claim because there wasn't any bone loss that states i would of had periodontal disease and i would of gotten stuck paying the whole bill of $2600 not just $1300 out of pocket. beware of this office read more

I am very disappointed. I never fully understood why we financed our plan with your company. I owed $150 before any service was done. When my wife and I came for first appointment we had to pay$50 to $100 copay. So, we used my insurance-- financed ----and paid when we come to appointments. Now what really got me is. I came for appointment, and a stand in dentist serviced me. He gave me anesthesia and asked if my tongue was numb. This was done to set me up for crown. My tongue has been numb since that appointment. We are getting billed, still. My wife and I are disappointed. The dentist ask me come back to address him damaging my nerve. He prescribed a steroid and antibiotics to help repair what he had done. So, I have reminders of that dentist --- every day. We will not be back. Again, my name is. Vincent. Ford. Just a follow up, I requested a refund. And was told I had to have an assessment done by an orthodontist. I went to the orthodontist who wrote up an assessment plan and also stated that I should have never been a candidate for aligner. Submitted all paperwork needed for my refund and I'm still receiving the run around. The orthodontist office manager even spoke with the regional at aspen dental. Stating they sent over all the documents needed. At my appointment with orthodontist the Manager spoke with me about the issue and stated that they trying not refund my money. I'm just disappointed with aspen for not owning up for their mistake, and wasting my time for almost two years. I just want what's is owed to me. read more

Horrible customer service I called before to switch locations and was told dental records cannot be send to different Aspen locations (which was not true as corporate confirmed it can). I called again this time the lady that answered the phone "Gabby" was very rude and unprofessional. I have been to other Aspen dental locations all been excellent service but beware this location in Highland...the phone reps are extremely rude and do not care about the business new or existing clients. Horrific wait times!! After prepaid procedures & spending thousands, regular patients are forced to wait hours for their appointments while walk-ins are made priority & seen first. The Highland, IN location is very poorly managed, reception is lazy, they do not fully review costs upfront, just assume you will pay whatever they schedule for you. LOVE LOVE LOVE ASPEN I absolutely LOVED the dental assistants: OJ, Monique, and Maddie. They were extremely friendly and very personable. I had all of my teeth taken out by Dr. Desmond Brown. He was super professional and very informative. The only thing I felt was the IV and even then he was super gentle. My first consultation went very well, no one batted an eye when I opened my mouth and they saw my rotting teeth. I've had so many dentist make rude comments to me and I've left several offices crying because I was embarrassed. Aspen made me feel comfortable and confident. Maddie and Dr. Redmon did my impressions and I absolutely loved them. They were super professional and they knew how to make me feel comfortable and relaxed during the impressions. Overall I highly recommend to Aspen to anyone is ashamed of their teeth like I was. I have a beautiful smile and I feel great. My surgery was September 22, 2021 and this picture was taken on September 23, 2021. These are my temporary dentures and they look AMAZING. Still pretty swollen but I feel great!! read more

I made an appointment 3 weeks ago. I received a text to confirm my appointment for 02/07/2023. so I confirmed I'd be there. Today (02/06/23) at almost 4pm I get a call from the office informing me that the dentist had 4 new patient appts and they would have to cancel my appointment. She stated that she had text me at 1:57pm which I never got, and she stated that she had called me several times! lies!! offered me a new appointment for sometime in March! Are you kidding me?!? This is the worst dentist office I have ever gone to, and it's mostly due to unprofessional front office staff. They have scheduled my appointments incorrectly at least 3 times, forcing me to reschedule or wait an hour while they let everyone go before you, including those who arrived 20 minutes after you. They never apologize for it, but instead blame the patient for being late or not calling to see if the appointment is still scheduled. There is one specific front office lady who is beyond rude and unprofessional. Once I finish my invisaligners I will never be returning here as a patient. I went in to have all 4 wisdmon teeth removed. Before I was even out the doctor started shooting needles in my mouth. I was shaking and screaming from the pain. He told me to calm down. That is not professional. I was ushered out the back door before anesthesia had even worn off enough to transport. Its been 24hrs and my tongue is still numb, and I can barely open my mouth. My throat is also extremely sore and is difficult to swallow. I have not been blessed with good dentists in my past, and this experience has furthered my distrust of them. If you are looking to feel like a number or a feel of a corporate dentistry, this is the place for you! I went in, as a first time customer, for a second opinion of removing my wisdom teeth. They took x-rays and put me in the cramp waiting room with another couple. After 10 minutes, an assistant came in to apologize to the couple about their long wait. So I am thinking, how long have these people been waiting? 10 minutes later, they took the couple away. 25 minutes later, I am still waiting and no one comes to talk to me about the delay or to apologize, as they did the other couple. So I just got up and left. 10 minutes on the road, they call me to talk about the x-ray results but I kept on driving away from Aspen Dental and have not looked back. read more

What an absolute horrible place. My 78-year-old mother came in a little over a year ago, had all her teeth pulled to have dentures made. They have been horrible for that long, she has eaten macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes for a year and her bottom dentures keep falling out. They've remade the dentures, they've put a liner in her dentures, now they're telling her she needs to spend thousands more for implants. My mother is on an income and can't even live on her own because she doesn't make much. She still owes $5,000 on her teeth that she cannot use. They will not give her her money back, they say she needs implants and that they're going to leave it at that. Dr Schaefer, Dr Redman, the manager Joe, and the regional manager Lindsay, you should all be ashamed of yourselves. All my poor mother wants is her money back. And after getting a simple procedure done (deep cleaning 2 sides) they charged an exorbitant 800$ to the insurances. As a dental assistant in training it blows my mind how this place is ran. My mother had to go in for a few problems she was having with her teeth. We had an appointment at 3 but they told us to come in earlier to fill out paperwork, when we got there, they were closed for training and wouldn't be open until 3. She finally got into the back just before 3:30 and didn't come out until 5:30. She was transferred from one room to the next. It ended up taking 40 minutes for them to find prices for what needed to be done. They then told her she had to get impressions done, she had to wait another 30 minutes for those because apparently the dental assistants couldn't take one but they had enough time to talk about their cuticles at the front desk. After the impression, her bridge came out and they tried only one time to stick it back on, but it came right off so they just told her they couldn't get it to stick so they left it out. All in all I do not recommend this place unless you need something done ASAP. read more

Additionally at the appointment time I waited 30 minutes past my appt time, was supposed to get a consultation yet the dentist never even looked in my mouth, but yet gave me a quote and wanted to pull out 4 additional teeth just for fun (wisdom teeth) which they included in my initial quote without consulting me at all. Lastly they dropped on me at the appt that the oral surgeon is only in the office once a month and they weren't sure when they next day he'd be in the office. My first visit with Aspen Dental last was fine no problems with getting a cavity filled. I went there today and was told by their financial people that they refused to fix a filling that came out unless I paid $237 for a deep cleaning, then I could come back in a few weeks and have the filling fixed. Not to mention I told the lady that I did not want the deep cleaning she said then we will not fix your filling. She told me that they could just do the deep cleaning in the area that my filling came out and then replace the filling. I told her fine. she charged my credit card $30.42 then two minutes later tells me the filling would be a separate charge of $93.54 and the credit I had on my account would not go to todays visit. I will never go to their facilities ever again. Seems to me they want to see how much money they can get out of you. read more
