I recently did a yelp review on Affordable Dentures concerning poor customer service. The main issue was the customer service on top of the fact that I had no idea that it was no longer DDS but now is affordable dentures. After my visit I set out to find a dentist would do my open face golds but was told that they wouldn't work on dentures they didn't make which caused me to have to reschedule another appt with Affordable. I go in for my visit today and was told that because I did a yelp review I could no longer be seen at their office mind you I've been a patient there for over 12yrs. They also stated there had been problems in past which was lie. How I'am I a patient with DDS for all these yrs if I was such a problem! Now it's obvious that they got offended because I spoke on their poor customer service which I still stand by. Stop trying to make the patients look like they're the problem and look into how you run business! Very unprofessional and they fail to give adequate updates on their policies! So it's a half star for me. :) read more

I paid 10 thousand dollars for my teeth. I had all my teeth pulled and implants on the bottom is what they said would be best for me. I had tem plates that gave me fits and they could not get them to fit property untI'll they put a soft liner on my upper plate. The bottom plate still was not fitting correctly and any time I would eat I have to remove both plates to rins food from plates and my mouth or endure the pain of food under my plates. I finally received my permanent plates and when they placed them in my mouth I didn't realize that the young lady had put fixident powder on my upper plate heavy to hold them in place I went out and had a great dinner that night for the first time in a year. The next morning when I placed my plates in my mouth the upper plate was falling out. I had to miss another day of work for them to get properly fitted. Unless you have a lot of time and money to waste do not have any work done here. I also had dropped my plate in the sink one morning cause a crack on my upper plate. I notif the office and went by for them to check and repair. Aft their repair I was eating and felt a small pop first then as I tried to finish chewing what was in my mouth the plate totally split into two pieces. When I went into office they charged me $250.00 and said my teeth were a week out of warrant. I would expect more for the amount I had to pay. read more

Beyond disappointed in these guys. They sent me out of the office with my permanent set and I couldn't even close my lips around them. They said give it a few days. My lips aren't going to just grow around them. I understand it was 4pm and the guy was ready to get out of there but they scheduled my delivery for 2pm. Not me. So glad I have my temps to wear in the meantime. They were so kind and caring up until this point. They even left one of my wisdom teeth in during my extraction surgery and tried to charge me for the surgery to go back under and get it removed. I never complained. They didn't charge me because I pointed out how messed up that would be but just the fact that they tried is still messed up. I can add pictures if necessary but I'd rather not because I never wanted people to know I had dentures but at this rate, everyone who sees me will know anyway. read more

As a patient who lives 2 hours away, they were very inconsiderate. I scheduled my appointment a couple of weeks ago. The day before my appointment, I received a confirmation text reminding me of my appointment which was 7:00 am the next day. After getting up at 4:00, leaving home at 5:00, and getting there at 7, I was met with signs on the door saying they were closed for the July 9-11. They will reopen July 12. A simple call, text, or email would have been greatly appreciated. read more

Update for affordable dentures in Flowood, Ms. finally got my medical records sent to another clinic, was first told I needed to see an oral surgeon as the previous dentists stated, my X-rays were sent to three oral surgeons, was told they couldn't help me, is was the fact that with such a botched up job from affordable dentures in flowood. It was no longer a dental problem but a medical necessity to have my mouth fixed by a prosthodontics. I would not recommend this office to anyone. The fact that Jimmy the office manager is also an attorney would not let my medical records be released by anyone but him, why it's common practice for medical records to forward medical records to another dr without having to go to the board of dentistry to get them, would also like to know why my original review was not listed that stated what went on since 2018 . read more

They were nice until I paid them. Then I got to sit in the waiting room for 3-4 hours ata time. Implants were crooked. Had to go back 3 times to get them replaced. Went to pick up my final denture yesterday and they blamed me because they forgot to put my gold crowns on. Apparently, even though I dont work there, I was supposed to remind these "professionals" to do what I paid them for. They asked for one more day and told me comeback after 1:30 the next day. Drove 90 minutes today and they STILL weren't ready. They "refunded" me $100 to calm me down and get me to leave. So tired of this place. What was supposed to take 9-10 months has taken 18 months and they still, apparently, need another day. Will NEVER go back. I suggest you find somewhere else to spend your money. read more

Like any business you cant please everyone and there are problems that arise but I feel as if they have always handled my issues perfectly, In fact I will go as far as to say that they have went over and beyond their scope of work. Jimmy is a sweetheart and always pleasant, Lisa is a Rockstar and I absolutely love Dr. Boone. I had my bottoms done two weeks after having 1/2 of my lung removed due to lung cancer and they treated me with such kindness, I actually had one of my front teeth break the night before my lung surgery and I guess it splintered when he pulled it. We all figured my lingering pain was due to a few slithers that would work themselves out. That was not the case. I've had enough dental work done to know an infection so after a week and a half and the pain meds not touching the pain and I couldn't wear my plate so I finally called Dr. Boone and told him I knew I had an infection. Infection pain is like no other and with my only being two-weeks post op from having 1/2 my lung removed I was deathly afraid that it would jeopardize that. He listened, he immediately had me come back and I was brought back as soon as I arrived. Sure enough a piece of the tooth had broken and there was still a piece attached to the bone and once he removed it that relief was exhilarating. We done a two week round of Penicillin before we made a new cast and it's been great since. I'm not going to lie I was upset at first but that was mainly due to the excruciating pain I was having but I should have called sooner so that's on me. Point is anybody can make a mistake, no one doctor, dentist, president, child, etc is perfect but how the situation is handled is everything and they have more than made me happy. Due to Covid I was way late getting my permanents put in but they never said a word. When I go in I feel as if I'm going to visit friends. I think their reviews are totally unwarranted. Again we all make mistakes each and everyone of us. All I knw is that I always leave with a smile on my face, the team is absolutely wonderful as well as professional. I love them they are amazing and if people would have realistic expectations then they would have a different experience and review. I've been seeing them for almost 10 years if not longer. I would have to check with Jimmy on that. You guys rock on and keep being amazing!!!!!! One pleased customer! read more

this is a response to the "Jean" review. In May of 2015 miss jean gave a review for the doctor that removed her teeth which was 5 stars. It is listed in Yelp reviews by miss jean and she says 'he did surgery on me. 11 teeth cut out. i told him i was scared and he prayed with me. he went above and beyond for me...i love him....cant sing his praises enough. Now in 2016 she gives affordable dentures a poor review HOWEVER..this is the same doctor, same appointment and same 11 teeth. Quite a change in her account of the surgery from 2015 to 2016. Miss Jean did take me to court in regards to her refund. prior to court she was called by phone and contacted by letter in an effort to let her know that she could get a refund for the service she had yet to receive. She agreed to come to the office and while there instead of the refund being done, she got angry and told my front desk person to "F--- you, i will see her in court". Even after this, two more letters were sent attempting to work out something. She called the corporate office and told the paralegal that she hoped they could hear the tearing of papers because that is what she was doing. So all our attempts to do the right thing failed. Court date was Wednesday april 27, 2016 .... Court ruled 'dismissed' So...this message is for Miss Jean. We at Affordable Dentures in Flowood tried at every turn to help you. You refused the help including a full refund. Your review of my practice is unfair, malicious, and untrue. i am sorry that your anger and need for revenge is so great. We could have done so much to help you but you would not let it happen. I think the court also saw that your need to take me to court became more important than working together or even more important than accepting a refund offered to you 4 times. The result was that the court did not allow you anything. And to post the review you posted is just an extension of that same anger and revenge seeking behavior. read more

they are horrible. Nice as can be til they get your money then they will not answer the phone or see you and you already paid for the service in the thousand dollar package. its been 9 months and I cant wear the teeth. I had them in my mounth less than an hour. CUT my theeth out with no gas or anything. Teeth go so far in my mouth they GAG me. They clain they cant fix them. they still owe me a set. They said theyd refund my money but nothing yet. they owe me 900 dollars. Medicaid paid for them to torture me and cut all my top teeth out. They were fine except for three but dentist talked me into cuttting out all top wanted to cut out bottom but I said NO! PLEASE STAY Away read more

I hear the reviews aren't so great but my experience has been the total opposite! I called Wed and got an appointment for 7am that Fri for a tooth extraction. I was out by 8am. Staff was pleasant and efficient. I already had my own xrays, told them what I wanted, paid them, then I was numbed and minutes later my tooth was extracted. The only "bad" part of my experience is my dentist a little too aggressive with my tooth and i'm feeling the residual pain from it. I had 1 tooth pulled exactly 1 year ago at another dentist with absolutely no pain or tenderness before, during, or after. She was very gentle. This time I felt more pressure, tingling, crunching, and cracking. My gum is very tender from the extraction so i'm having to take something for pain. He did tell me that I had good bone so I'm assuming it took greater effort to remove the tooth. Overall, I'd go there again. The price was affordable, comparable to others in the area and probably a bit cheaper. read more

I was nervous about using this clinic due to less then great reviews and because the price was so much lower then the other places I called, however, due to budget restraints I decided it was worth the gamble (figured I could live with the upper denture even if it wasn't perfect). I am extremely satisfied with my dentures and I am so glad that I chose to come here! i only got an upper plate and I chose the "custom" or second to cheapest option and it fits wonderfully! I spent most of a day getting the impressions and dentures made, I ended up calling them the next day, a Thursday, to get a couple of adjustments done which they weren't able to schedule me in until Monday, but as busy as they are that's still impressive to me, my appt was for 10:30am I arrived early and was completely finished and writing my review in the parking lot by 11:15am! If your concerned about it being "cheap" or see bad reviews then come talk to the staff in person, I guarantee you this is money well SAVED in my book. The back up their dentures with a defect or manufacture(manufactured here, in house) warranty and I have free adjustments for a month or so if needed. My biggest complaint was finding the building on my way here the first time! I highly recommend this clinic for your denture needs! read more
