****STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY**** Called this company and was quoted $100 for a simple outlet troubleshooting. Nick D(ick) came out and tightened one grounding screw on an outlet and charged me $525. Also replaced an outlet without my approval and tried to charge me another $50. When confronted about these mischarges he was VERY rude and started to harass me. He was in and out of my house in 10 mins and used my own equipment for the work. VERY unprofessional company. Called and complained to his managers (Carie & Bailey) and Carie didn't care about my frustrations and didn't work to solve the issues at all of being misquoted/bad customer service. She was perfectly fine with Nick being a total asshole, me not using them ever again and not recommending them to others. Joke of a company. read more

The thought of having to call anyone to do a home repair is awful when most of it can be done yourself - but don't mess with electricity!! Keeping that in mind, and selling my home, I gave these guys a try. I called them on Friday for a residential kitchen light fixture . They had somebody here and the job was complete by Monday afternoon. The receptionist, Rachel, super helpful from start to finish. Also, both the guys that came out to the house were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I called due to a pool pump not working the day before the hot July 4th holiday weekend. Dawn answered the phone when I called. She was very professional and although they were short staffed due to the holiday weekend she made every effort to fit me in to their schedule. Mark was able to make it to our home a few hours later. Mark was great. While Mark diagnosed the problem, he explained the situation to me and offered options. The pump was up and running in no time. I was very happy with the work Nick performed at my house. He is a great communicator and problem solver and really went the extra mile to make sure everything was done the way I wanted it and to code. My high voltage appliance outlet went on the fritz. I was drying my clothes after a long day at work. The dryer just stopped so I checked my breaker box, and it still didn't work! I was so tired but I have to have my machine up and running. The next day I was driving to work and seen a billboard on 94. I called them on my lunch and had an early appointment. I met him at my home, and he was in and out by dinner time! I was pleasantly surprised by his work ethics, the price was outstanding and he cleaned up after the work he did. Nice office staff with honest up front pricing. We're glad we paid the $65 fee to get an estimate and although not the cheapest out there by far safety first. We talked through what I wanted to do (add six new overhead lights) and he came up with several options for me with prices for each. I felt comfortable asking questions and the process was very transparent. He made sure we were on the same page before the work started and made sure I was happy with it when it was done. We used Affordable a couple months ago. As soon as he got in the door he said it would be $275. He said there is nothing wrong with the breaker and had it working in one minute but said he will tighten the connections. We also had him change an outlet and did another fix , which he said would be $25 each. The cost was $325 for 48 minutes after i put in a review, he called within 5 minutes and yelled at me saying he was going to get in trouble. Ask for the owner Nick! Customer service is the best! They were able to send two guys out the next day and they identified my issues and fixed them within in less than an hour. I had a company come out the day before to address the issue and instead of fixing the problem he gave me a quote, for 3 1/2 hours of labor and parts, and said he could come back in an hour to do it. Nick and another one of his guys came out to install new lights over my kitchen island. At first they thought they'd have to put a hole in my ceiling but with a grad party coming up in a few weeks I begged that they find another way ... and they did! It was quite interesting to watch a grown man maneuver his way through our unfinished basement ceiling to get the wiring to where they needed to but they did it! I got my new lights, no hole and I thought for them coming out same day and getting it done quickly, it was GREAT! read more

Had them out to remove and replace some knob and tube wiring. They worked so quickly that I was able to "add on" 3 other small electrical jobs that were not planned. Very professional, polite, and extremely reasonable when it comes to price. Most people are worried about electric/plumbing professionals coming out and the costs piling up, but Nick was very upfront and checked in during the day to let me know where we were with the bill. I have used Affordable Electric twice recently, one was an emergency and the other not. Nick was at my house by 6:30am working on replacing my panel (electrical fire), his group worked for 12 straight hours. I had my power back around 6pm the same day. The second repair was to replace a breaker, in and out within an hour. Both times I had a return call within 20 min and he was out fixing the breaker within 24 hours. Right from the start when I called them I was impressed. Very courteous and showed up for every scheduled appointment on time. I really appreciated how they cleaned up after they were done. The workers were friendly and helpful in every way. Affordable seems more professional than other contractors I have dealt with in the past. I would recommend them. My furnace quit working in the middle of the night on a day the windchill was -17 below 0 Fahrenheit. After determining the on/off switch on the furnace needed to be replaced, I called Affordable Electric at six in the morning. Two gentlemen were at my house by 6:35 and the switch was replaced in no time and I had heat again. I highly recommend Affordable Electric. The guys responded quickly and efficiently to an emergency.
