I found a dress that I was into, however it was discontinued and I was only told that when I said that was the only dress I liked. The person helping me didn't really make me feel special nor have a conversation with me. It seemed like I was inconveniencing her. We just didn't hit it off. This first bridal appointment made me nervous for other ones, but it turns out this was the only appointment where I felt this way. She gave me the color and the pin number. I went to the store, gave the women my friend's name, pulled up the info and it matched mine. A saleswoman went to the floor with me to find the dress. They didn't have the exact color but they did have the dress in a different color. I tried in on, it fit perfect as is. The saleswoman didn't push for alterations. She pulled on the straps a bit and had me twirl, she agreed that I should straight order the size 4. Filled out the paperwork, paid the money. Came back when they said it would be in. It was in way earlier actually. Tried it on, no problems. Left the store, and moved on with my life. Again I didn't need alterations so my experience was totally fine. I felt the dress was overpriced for the quality but its a national chain you're paying for the convenience. I gave it away for one of those high school prom dress donation businesses. The other women in the bridal party had shoes dyed to match the dress. Everyone is the bridal party showed up with different colored shoes, and none of them matched the dress. I'm assuming its some kind of formula for dying, and apparently no one at david's knows what it is. Of course their stores made them pay for it anyway even though they couldn't fix it, but those were different stores than this one in Hamburg. Overall: I wouldn't recommend getting alterations or shoes done at a David's. Otherwise you'll be fine!

I had got a fitting for a bridesmaid dress and was measured for the size I would need. The stylist had said the dress would arrive by end of April due to the short timeframe for the wedding. Well that didn't happen as the dress got delayed and was told it would arrive 3 weeks before the wedding. I was like that cannot happen, that does not give me enough time for alterations. The David's Bridal rep was extremely rude and said its not my problem and take it up with corporate. I mean who is says that?? I call the corporate office and was told the dress needed to be cut to size and would take longer. All the bridesmaids received their dresses but mine is nowhere to be found! After multiple calls to the store and the corporate office, it was decided that the best they could do was give me a dress 2 sizes too big and would have it sent out right away. I asked is there any compensation they could offer for this situation, only could offer 20% discount. I said is alterations going to be possible with this tight timeframe and was then told no they cannot guarantee it would be done in time. Well on the wedding day...the zipper splits apart where I need to be sewn in because the zipper is cheap and garbage like material. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM DAVID'S BRIDAL AGAIN!!! Such a major disappointment and so much money to spend and all this happens!

I went into my appointment at Victoria's feeling concerned about having no idea what I would like or thought I would like. After some discussion, Kathy picked a few options for me and I can honestly say I really liked almost everything I tried on at the store! They were all in the realm of something I would like and felt flattering and relatively comfortable for the style of dress. Kathy was very kind and supportive and let me try on many options in order to settle on the first dress I picked. Her positive attitude made me feel heard and validated throughout the whole experience which made it much less anxiety provoking. I went into my fitting with some loose ideas - I adamantly knew I didn't want a mermaid style, and I was interested in lace and dresses that weren't white. Super helpful, right?? Ryan was wonderful and just talked to me and got an idea of my personality and just started grabbing dresses for me to try on. They were - truly - all freaking stunning, COMPLETELY different, and very much me. From the second I had walked in I had my eye on a short pink dress that was on the mannequin, but it ended up being one of the dresses Ryan picked out for me that was the winner. I couldn't stop smiling. The inventory was extensive, and most importantly unique. Stella has a fantastic eye and picks dresses that are not only gorgeous, but will make you stand out. The process was so easy and stress free. We had the entire place to ourselves, no time limit, there was champagne, and the space is just gorgeous. Picking up my dress was easy, they helped me with everything, and I felt they were genuinely interested in my wedding. They wanted to know the hair, the shoes, the makeup, everything. Paige and AMANDA practically forced me to try on a few different dresses even those I thought I would not like. By far the worst experience of my life…read more We started late, and while the girl helping me seemed nice at first, her attitude quickly shifted. As the night went on, she became visibly annoyed whenever my friends asked questions about other dresses in the store. After I tried on my last dress, one of my friends asked about another option, and another sales rep showed her a gown. Instead of being professional, she angrily snapped "no" in a whisper, clearly signaling to rush us out of there. No offense, but that is terrible customer service. I refuse to spend money on a wedding dress somewhere that treats people this way. She then looked at me and bluntly said my time was up -- even though my appointment had started late. It was 6:58, and she claimed the store was closing, but their own door clearly says they close at 7:30. The whole environment was unwelcoming compared to other bridal shops. No one smiled, no warmth, no excitement -- which is the bare minimum you'd expect during such a special moment. Because of this experience, I will absolutely refrain from doing any business with them and will tell others about how poorly they treat customers. Thankfully, I stayed polite and calm, because I can only imagine how badly they'd react if someone had actually been a "bridezilla."
