I get called back I sit on the bed she gives me a mirror and asks me what are my problem areas. I frown and point to my forehead and the frown. She marked them and without saying anything went straight to work. Super fast I was like wow she wiped my forehead and that was it. I asked a few questions she answered them. If you are looking for bedside manners then it's not here. But, it's been 1 week and 3 days and I love my results. I waited longer in the lobby then when I went to the room. She did go a little too fast for me but in the end I did my own homework of what to expect. So I am happy with the results, sometime you need to think about if you want good bedside manners and a bad job or a good job and not so good beside manners. I recommend her.

Maxine Bell is the owner and electrologist at Advanced Electrolysis, which is set inside a…read morecommercial business building on the 4th floor on the corner of Bay Area Blvd and El Camino Real. I've been to Maxine twice so far, and compared to three other electrologists I've been to, she has been the best. I had already started treatments in another city several months prior, and had visited Maxine when I was visiting Houston for a short time. She used blend method, which is the method I prefer since it is the most effective. However, she does offer other methods if you prefer other types. Immediately upon meeting her, I felt comfortable. She has a very relaxed demeanor and is very sweet. She asks a lot of questions about your concerns and has you fill out a whole questionnaire regarding your skin/hair problems. She also uses topical anesthetic if you like, and properly cleanses your skin before starting. In addition, afterwards she gives you an icepack to keep on your skin for 15-20 mins, which she lets you take home with you. She also does catapharesing (I'm probably spelling it wrong), which I beleive helps reduce the redness. I know this sounds so simple, but none of the electrologists I've been to before have ever done the ice or topical anesthetic steps! The topical makes the treatment so much more tolerable, and the ice really helps remove the heat from the skin making your healing faster. Anyways, I really didn't want to write a review for Maxine, because I come to Houston quite often and didn't want her to be no longer accessible to me as she has been so far. Every time I've been able to make an appointment with her same day or next day. Also, I shopped around in the Clear Lake area before coming to her, and she and only one other electrologist had the lowest prices. I can't rmbr off the top of my head what the prices are, but I'm actually going to her again tomorrow so I'll find out prices so I can post them. She is honest with you about how electrolysis can be a long process, but with consistency, you can have permanent hair removal results.

Their site said they opened at 10 am and it was past 10:30. I had heard good things about them but being that they do not abode by ADA laws, I would not recommend them. I assume it was Jamie who answered the door the owner of the spa. Never been turned away due to my disability and very disappointed to have to write such a review.

She shares so much insight on her instagram page which I find very interesting and after several appointments I finally grew the nerve to get my lips slightly enhanced and wow am I bummed I waited so long. I'm a no Make-up basic on the run mom so I've always been skeptical of getting overdone lips that I've seen in public. Jaime did my lip lines and added just the right amount to plump up my aging lips and they look so incredibly natural and just more youthful. End results have me loving my lips and just gives me a little boost I never knew I wanted :)
