The medication they prescribe really suppresses the appetite, and I never feel hungry eating smaller portions, it is the easiest way I have found to loose weight. I don't understand those that are complaining about not spending enough time with you, especially about the nutrition side of it. We are adults, not babies. They do give you common sense guidelines about eating and exercise. You have to work on your own to make sure you keep up with your caloric intake and do your exercise. Again, the medication makes you much less hungry, so it's easier to follow through. The program is run by a nurse practitioner, who answered all of my questions. Honestly, I never met the doctor, but the NP has the training necessary for what she is doing (listening to your heart & lungs, and evaluating your blood panels). She listened to my concerns about the medication, phentermine, and changed me to Tenuate. I lost 30 lbs over 5 months on the phentermine, but didn't like the jitters. I didn't find the B12 injections to make a difference If you need help controlling your cravings, give this program a shot. I'll update in a few months.

I could not remember exactly what search terms I used and he was irritated and just plain rude about that for some reason. He said "Okaaaay" and rolled his eyes. From there, things just went downhill. He got hung up on why I googled the practice prior to coming- I like the vast majority will google every single business I'm going to because I want details in advance. At this point I should have left but because I was there as part of the grant program I had to sit through the consultation. He asked me to stand on the scale and I told him I'd rather not. He insisted I get on the scale and that he'd just write my weight down and not tell me. Unfortunately, I obliged. He then blurted my weight out, said "Ooooops" and began LAUGHING at the shocked reaction on my face. He seemed genuinely happy to see me this way. Moving on to the actual part where I showed the area I wanted to be treated, he made me feel extremely uncomfortable and was even more condescending than he had been. I left feeling incredibly upset and wrote a review on Google. I noticed the practice had my review removed, even though it was entirely accurate and I did nothing but state my experience respectfully.

Alright, the first time I went to this place, it was kind of hard to find. They didn't have a large…read morebusiness sign and the neighborhood is honestly sketchy looking. I pulled into the parking lot and thought "Oh god. What have I done?". I had read some previous reviews, so I was approaching the experience with a little trepidation. I walked through the door to... be pleasantly surprised. It is a clean cut space with tasteful furniture and tranquil music. When I arrived, there was only one woman there and she was with another client at the moment, so I waited patiently on the couch for 5 minutes or so. She came out and introduced herself to me as Kay (the owner). She went through my paperwork with me and explained the process (noninvasive lipo with infrared body wrap) so that I understood what was about to happen. She spoke with me about my other weight loss attempts and tried to get a feel for what would be best (and safest) for my body. She also informed me that she was a nutritionist, which honestly made me feel better about talking to her about my diet plan and the steps I was taking to get to my goal weight. Kay then took me to my treatment room and took my measurements and weight. She also informed me that I should have brought a change of clothes because you come out of the body wrap SOAKED. (I was a little embarrassed at that point because all of that information had come to me in an e-mail, but I'm really bad about checking it, so that was my fault.) However, she was patient with me and let me wear a towel wrap while in the body wrap, so I didn't have to leave in wet clothes. I really appreciated that she was willing to accommodate me and make me feel comfortable even though I should have been more responsible about keeping up with my e-mails. Alright, time for the actual treatments. I laid down on a heated bed and Kay applied a lymphatic gel on me (Note: This gel costs $10 each time you get a treatment, but don't let that turn you away. It helps with your results and makes your skin look awesome. Also, you don't use all the product during your treatment. You bring the rest home with you and you apply it twice a day- morning and night, until you get another one on your next treatment). You have the option of applying it yourself, so if you feel more comfortable that way, that's perfectly fine. I think she applied it for me because it was my first time and wanted to set an example of how to apply it. After applying the lymphatic gel, she situated the noninvasive lipo paddles on my treatment area and secured them with a sort of belt. Next, she wrapped the sides of the plastic heated blanket around me (at this point, I realized that I had been laying on the body wrap the whole time) so I ended up in a cozy cocoon and she left me alone to relax for 30-35 minutes. This cozy cocoon that I thought I was originally in is not a joke. It gets HOT. And not just hot. Like wearing full snow gear in the rainforest hot. I'll be honest. At about the 18 minute mark, I was watching the clock and praying for the time to go by quickly. Somehow I managed to last the full time even though I came close to tapping out a few times. Kay was true to her word. I was absolutely drenched in sweat, which I was happy about because those were the results I was expecting. She let me out of my body wrap and graciously provided me with cool water to drink. (Note: After you do this, don't rush into anything. Sit for a moment and let yourself recover from the temperature change. Sip your water and take things slowly. I also recommend bringing a light snack.) After I got dressed, Kay took my measurements and weight again. There was good news and bad news. I had lost an inch on my waist and hips, but my weight had not changed. She told me my body type is the kind that retains water when it's under stress (yay), so I might not see results immediately, but to try getting on the scale again later that day and recheck my results. I arched an eyebrow at this, but I made a note to do that later in the day. Afterward, (since it was the end of the business day for her) Kay sat with me in the lobby and chatted with me and made sure I had recovered completely before I left to go anywhere. Honestly, this woman is personable and charismatic. I absolutely loved her and didn't feel uncomfortable or self-conscious at all. She was attentive and patient, even when I came a few minutes late and was unprepared. **I did as Kay asked and weighed myself later that day and I was down 6 pounds. Hooray! When complimented with a sensible diet and exercise, this regimen will definitely help you reach your weight loss goals and keep them.
