Rob replied to my Yelp message to his website within 10 minutes. That was great......did not have to wait around to find out if he could do the job and when. He was available the next day, made appointment and when he was running a little late on a previous job he called and informed me he would be about 1/2 hour late in arriving. Appreciated the notification. He completed the job in a timely manner and was reasonable in his pricing. He replaced 5 door handles and deadbolts, with the front door requiring new hole placement. I just bought a new house, from which during the building process shower heads and faucets kept miraculously "disappearing". The builder claimed that the locks were changed and only the Superintendent had the key, but once we closed escrow, we were handed a set of seven keys total with the words "maybe they'll work, we're not sure". Sure enough, they all did. So much for diligence on part of the builder... Anywho, that being said I wanted to make sure that us and only us have access to our house. My wife called a locksmith she found online, but I checked out their Yelp! reviews and they were all one star. I called and cancelled the appointment and contacted Affordable Lock & Key through their website contact form. A couple of hours later the owner called me back, we talked about what would have to be done and scheduled the appointment for the following morning. Rekeying our locks took them 10 minutes. Rob was able to provide me with same day service- thanks, Rob. I would like to point out that Rob went the extra mile and inspected the springs on a door that enters the property. He showed me that the tension on the door needed to be adjusted and he happily took a few minutes to create a safer environment. Rob also noted that one of the dead bolts on our property had been jammed. Without hesitation he graciously replaced the lock and he did not charge me an additional fee- Thanks Rob.
