I wish I could have better things to say about Tom and Doug at Affordable Pump, but I had problems from the beginning. These guys are horrible at communication. I was constantly reaching out to them trying to find out what was going on with my pump, honestly if I hadn't been the one initiating the communication, I believe I would still be waiting on them. We have lost the water to our well, and after two missed appointments, Tom came and replaced THE CONTROL Box to our well pump and pressure tank.. This was after two missed appointments waithin in 90 degree heat. Apologies were offered , so Tom arrived Saturday morning . The water pressure seemed to be back to normal..but later in the afternoon we lost the pressure to our well and we lost our water 108 degrees, by this time...WE called and Tom told us to turn off the breaker and let it cool off for a half hour...which we did...and then was able to get pressure back for two hours more..where we lost all water.. We have been trying to reach them with no answer. Tomorrow ill be another over a 100 day. read more

AN UPDATE: Just now got a call from Affordable Pumps because I was unhappy with their unauthorized charge. Run from this company. The lady on the phone ( who called me ) apparently is the mother and wife of the guys who I dealt with. She made sure I knew how wonderful her husband and son were and that they would never do any wrong to a customer. Her tone then turned to anger and then I was done talking to her. The most unprofessional conversation I have ever had in my life. I'm sure these guys are "nice guys". That being said this is business and its my money they took without my permission. If I could give Doug -20 for being disrespectful to a woman, I would. Over the phone he was rude, obnoxious, and his prices were double what others have charged me. I was surprised by his high fees, so he proceeded to talk to me with even more disrespect. I called a guy that has done work for me on prior wells, he is coming from farther away for 2/3rd's the price. His name is Robert and the respect he shows women is great! We have had a rather unfortunate experience with this company. Poor communication from the outset. They didn't let us know when they would be working or when they were finished each day. During the excavation to run the pipe and water from the well to the pump house they cut the power supply to the existing system, then left for the day. We were left without water for the night with a house full of company. It wasn't until 2 pm the next day that this was resolved. Then the wiring in the pump house continued to be wrong...only to find out that the excavation did more damage than originally thought, so now we have to have a new power line run. Moral of the story...find someone else. read more
