We ended up having to replace the copper pipe because the original pipe was located under my sidewalk and I didn't want to rip it up to repair. The team dug the trench, laid the pipe, connected everything and cleaned up within 6 hours - in the rain and mud (I have clay dirt)! Later that night when I went to turn on my stove, my gas was off. So I contacted Derick and he came to help me deal with my emergency earthquake shut of valve - which was activated during the installation - and even got my hot water heater lit for me. I had to replace my water heater that finally failed after it being 14 years old. I had gotten numerous what I had thought competitive bids and when a friend recommended me to the best Americas Best I was surprisingly shocked. They matched the lowest bid and even quicker than the rest. I thought it was bogus how good of a deal I was getting and the following morning right on time they were at my home and ready to work. The swap took about 30 minutes with them draining my current water heater and I was beyond impressed. They even offered to check on all my exterior drains for roots and gave me an extremely great rate for that service is that issue ever surfaced. I used them to repair some water damage to my ceiling and to re-caulk my tub. Daryl did the caulking on the tub and did a great job. Jose came and repaired/painted the ceiling. He showed up on time, did an excellent job, and left no mess. I have since used them again for another small project of moving power from a wall light to a standard outlet, with patching and painting. Their electrician did exactly as I asked, and Jose again did a great job painting. He initially did one coat, and I requested that a second be done, and they worked around my schedule and had Jose come back out to paint no problem. Worst experience ever! Service Magic Rescue's Tal Lazarovits is the worst project manager! I had…read morewater in my kitchen in November 2025. They immediately sent a team who tore out my entire kitchen and floorboards. It is 6 months later & still no kitchen. They said the water was coming from the outside patio so tore it out completely. They did redo the patio, but the elevations are off, the drains are too high and the slope of the drains are incorrect. There is water standing in the drains and water ponds at the kitchen wall. There is also construction debris in the drains. The patio has rolling humps and the elevations are off so the water does not go towards the drains. The drains were connected to the kitchen sewer line which could cause backups during heavy rain and sewer smells to come out the drains on patio. I told him I wanted it permitted. He did not get a permit and removed 2 exterior walls and redid without a permit. He installed non-GFI plugs in the kitchen which are not up to code. I am having to completely redo all the work that he did and am filing a complaint with the Contractors Licensing Board with the support of my new contractor. I just discovered that Service Magic Rescue and it's CEO/Qualifying Member has 2 lawsuits against them. 1 of which is for defaulting on a consumer loan and the other is for Contract Fraud. They were timely, super responsive (including to changes to the original work order and on occasion, my obsessiveness over little details), and reasonably priced versus other vendors.
