I watch as my neighbors had The Final touch meticulously replace the roofs on their homes. Every detail was addressed, the plywood, the underlayment, the gutters, the tear off and of course, the clean up. This exquisite work was observed as I walked my dog daily and asked questions of my neighbors and the crew working as I was in the market for a new roof. Ovi and his wife are perfectionists and their commitment to quality is unsurpassed. Don't make the mistake I did and go with the cheaper company that promises the same quality, it's not worth it. In the end I didn't save any money, I only got aggravation and excuses from the company I used and will probably have to redo some of the work.

I also inquire about work on our garage (though it's not leaking, but it's in need of replacement). Written and later official estimate was given, and the cost, part, work was exactly as quoted (aside from plywood needed for the garage) On is very genuine and respectful. He maintains a very high level of communication, and you just feel greatly welcomed when talking to him. Out of the 4 days of work done, On is pretty much there every day to inspect and verify proper work is done by the crew. When the crew do finish their work at the end of each day, there is NO mess left behind in the house/garden. Everything is cleaned up and nearly placed by the wall. *Would Hire Again*…read more [Project Scope] Re-roof on a one story single family house, including new underlayment, drip edge, composite shingles, plus sheathing repairs and ventilation updates. FWIW, in my line of work we nit-pick over details & craftsmanship. I bring those expectations--for better or worse--to maintaining my house. Unsurprisingly, I tend to find some level of fault with any contractor. [Communication] The project manager (Danny) and front office (Melissa) were quick to answer the many questions I had via email, text, and phone. They were patient while I took my time selecting a contractor. They also coordinated directly with my solar contractor so the rooftop PV system was off the roof for no longer than necessary. The PM was out briefly each day to check the work and collect payment. [Availability] I didn't need the work done urgently, but Smart Roofing did start work within two weeks of signing the contract and finished within 3 days. [Warranty] One reason I chose this company was their standing as Owens Corning Platinum Preferred, which gets a workmanship warranty backed by Owens Corning (except the solar penetrations in our case), should the contractor ever go out of business. [Workmanship] Crews (separate tear-off and install) were on-time, respectful, and cleaned up each day. Overall, the work appears to be done well, though I'm no roofer. The way some of the holes in the roof were cut and flashings set did seem to be rushed, but so far it's watertight and that's what matters. The original sheathing had large gaps, which I asked to be fixed, although they may have done so without my asking, that wasn't communicated one way or another. They handled the addition of an exhaust vent flashing, relocation of a vent flashing, and removal of an unused vent flashing as per my request. [Issues] At some point, the furnace b-vent was pushed into the attic, breaking an elbow inside the attic. I ended up getting the part and doing the repair myself. Similar as well with the water heater b-vent: it was pushed down and crushed a section, but wasn't caught by the crew. Plus, the vent was reset at an angle so it's now pressed up against the house. Finally, while cleanup went fairly well, there was still trash and a few handfuls of nails scattered throughout the property, roof, and gutters--a small complaint and probably par for the course. Slightly-related... at no point did a Simi Valley building inspector come onto our property. For both inspections, a truck appeared across the street, yet no one got out. No looking at the back of the roof, no rooftop inspection, no check that sheathing was sound and work done correctly. What a joke, that $560 payment to the city. Thanks, Danny and crew, for the work!

Decided to do a full roof underlayment replacement, searched on Yelp and received 4 quotes with almost identical materials from 4 different licensed roofers. Quote from Evi at Smart Roofing is the lowest with a bit more coverage, and Evi always answered my questions in a timely manner. Eventually signed a contract with Evi, project started in March during the hottest week. Evi kept me posted on a daily basis, and their crews are friendly and hard working, cleaned up before leaving every day. 1st day to demolition, 2nd day for city inspection and material delivery, then it took 3 days to complete the installation of Westlake Royal TileSeal HT underlayment. Smart Roofing offers unlimited plywood and tile replacement as needed, and they do not subcontract, all crewmembers are employed by Smart Roofing. Evi brought company's insurance document along with different underlayment samples when coming for an estimate, my project is backed by 10-year labor warranty and 30-year underlayment manufacturer warranty. Need to wait for the rain season to see how everything holds up, many thanks to Evi and all the crewmembers.

Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Two wouldn't take the job because it was too small. Franklin came by and gave me the best price. After the initial deposit, his crew came by about a week later and finished the job in one day. I think they did a pretty good job replicating what had existed before, although the work seemed a little sloppy. I saw a few gaps in the framing, but they were able to seal it up with bondo. Also on one of the posts there was a large crack in the wood, but that was sealed as well. For the price, I think this was a pretty good value. Would definitely recommend for smaller jobs like mine.

These guys saved us from almost buying the wrong spanish tiles ourselves before we met (yikes!) Luckily, after having a few contractors inspect the roof and gave us quotes we decided to go with LA roofing because not only were there prices fair but the customer service and how well they treated our property with respect was very impressive. We had them install our Spanish clay tiles on the roof because of the impressive experience working with these tiles specifically. Yesenia, Armando's daughter, took care of the paperworks. Gave me an estimate that I believe is very fair for the project. Only added a very minimal amount after the project was done because they have to replace some plywood. Armando came today for the final inspection. Happy with the work they did. I don't mind recommending them.

Marco & MRK Roofing came through for us on two occasions…read more The first time, rain had just fallen for the first time of the year last year. We noticed a leak stain in one part of our house and saw that the biggest downpour of the year was coming in two days. Uh oh! We reached out to a roofer we had previously used, but he couldn't come out in time. I called Marco, and he came out the next day, one day before the big storm. He looked at our roof and determined some tiles were out of place. He moved them back into place and said it should fix it but if not, it shouldn't leak much. If it does leak more, he can redo the underlayment under the valley. Fortunately whatever he did worked and we had no more leaks in that area! He didn't even charge us for coming out. The second time we called him was because the strong January winds knocked some tiles loose. Marco's crew came to fix them. Because our tiles are old, it's hard to find a perfect match. So Marco found similar tiles but used our existing tiles from the rear of the house on the front of the house -- so there aren't noticeably different tiles on the front of the house. That was a great idea! His crew also fixed an area that leaks into our garage. Thanks, Marco & MRK Roofing!

That company said they only install complete roofing and eagerly referred me to him, one of their former employees who used to be the lead on their jobs and became licensed and branched out on his own. I could not be happier with his services. He came out and gave a free estimate. It was a very reasonable quote. He was responsive to all my calls and texts. His price included all materials and labor. Once I accepted his proposal, we set up the day for him and his crew to come out. Also, what I thought needed repair (from what I could see with my own eyes on street level as my home is two stories) was not my biggest problem. Apparently, I had exposed sheeting with a missing tile to his surprise also as I had not had any leaking. They came out and replaced slide field and trim tiles that were broken and sealed all tiles as needed. I also had wood rot on the corner of my fascia boards that was exposed due to a corner tile that had fallen off. I thought I would need to hire a separate person to repair that, but he also does those repairs. Marco came out and brought his guys Javier and Ramiro. They completed all the work in one day. I also needed gutter removal for impending complete house painting. They removed them for a reasonable fee. They also hauled the old gutters away. In addition, he graciously secured loose satellite/cable cords that were sagging. Marco and his crew were efficient and clean. I highly recommend his services. Give Marco a call if you're in need of repairs on your roof. You won't be disappointed. I am a very satisfied customer!

Jeff was referred by a friend and he made the whole process so easy. He listened and he made sure no seed will ever get stuck in my gutter. He followed up with countless calls to make sure everything was ok. Fast forward to 2015 October, When I was cleaning up the garage, I noticed evidence of leak from the corner of the roof.
