I was so worked up over an issue with my wheel hub studs diagnosed by multiple shops (diagnoses that I already had doubts about), these guys took me out to my car showed my real issue was with busted lug nuts all along which I totally never considered (which was dumb I know I just started working seriously on this car) and saved me plenty of cash, all with a smile and real concern. I don't even know where to begin, my car needed a new set of tires so I started doing my research, its hard to ignore the 4.8 stars they have on google review so I decided to give them a try. I requested a quote online yesterday and in less than 20 minutes, Gary called me and discuss all my options, he thoroughly went over all the brand that will suit my need (I'm a commuter) and tried to help me save some money. I am fixated with getting goodyear since Its my tires from day 1 but he recommended Uniroyal tiger paw which is cheaper, has the same durability and will give me the same mileage. Trusted the man and today I went during my lunch to get the Uniroyal, BUT I have provided them the wrong size, the brand is not in stock and they have to order it. I really wanna get it done today so I spoke with Gary and ask if Goodyear is available, I told him I'm just gunna get it regardless the price since I'm there already. To my surprised, Gary gave me a discount and charged the goodyear with the same amount of Uniroyal. I was out in less than 15 minutes, I am impressed with how quick and efficient these guys work. I have been coming to affordable tires for almost 20 years. Always admired the fast service and reasonable price. Today, I felt betrayed. I had all 4 tires changed and an alignment for both front and rear. I usually do a quick inspection of my car before I drive off. I noticed a large scratch along the side of the passenger front rim. I know it was not there before because I washed my car 3 days ago. Any old existing scratches on my rims did not have any black grime caused I scrubbed it off when I washed the car. This scratch was new because it had the black grime. I did not drive anywhere but to the shop after I recently washed the car. I complained right away but they said it looked old and it was there before the tires was placed. They did not inspect with me existing scratches on my rims before adding the new tires. What's done is done. Now I know why some customers stay outside with their cars to inspect their work, even when it's 102 degrees outside. I'm still on the fence whether to find another tire shop or stayinwith Affordable Tires. (Update) After my terrible experience, I somehow made it back to this place out of convenience. I took the 4Runner to get 2 new tires and an alignment. I didn't care too much of the 4Runner's rims because it was scratched up anyways. Right off the bat, I was greeted by someone who I never seen at the shop. Very pleasant guy. He asked me what I need and appointed the workers to start of the job immediately. He recommended new spare tire, which I knew needed replacement. He recommended using the tires I was replacing as the spare. I thought it was brilliant and it saves money. From my last experience, I can tell that the environment changed. Nobody is cursing or fooling around. The guy that greeted me supervised the other staff members. I've been going to Affordable Tire in Palmdale for about 30 years. The staff is nice, the prices are very reasonable, and the service has always been great. Today (3/20/18), I went to have my brakes done. I do NOT keep my wheel lock key in the car and had it in my purse. Gary checked me in for the brakes and said it would be about 40 minutes before they could work on my car. I said I had no problem waiting. I don't live in the Antelope Valley anymore, but I always make the 45 minute drive for their great prices and service. I sat down and waited. I had forgotten the wheel lock key was in my purse. Eventually, the mechanic came to get the key. My car was finally done. The engine key and wheel lock key were left in my car. I got in my car and noticed on the passenger seat a pair of sunglasses that I normally keep on the side door storage area. Then I noticed papers and other items located on the passenger side of the floor. I looked in my back seat and saw my briefcase and other clothing items that were normally kept in the back trunk area. I opened my hatch and everything was disheveled and thrown around. Apparently, the mechanic had ransacked my car looking for the wheel lock key. The glove box had all the papers removed and shoved back in. The items on both storage areas of the doors were a mess. I can understand checking my glovebox, but to totally ransack the front seat area, the back seat area, and the trunk area looking for the wheel lock key is uncalled for and not acceptable!! I went back into the office and spoke to Gary. He apologized and said he would talk to the mechanic who was out on a vehicle test with another customer. Yes, I should have remembered to give them the wheel lock key when I arrived, but there's no reason why a mechanic should ransack a car, (and handling people's personal items), looking for a wheel lock key!! Make it simple and walk to the office to ask the owner of the vehicle where the wheel lock key is located. read more

This place is the best. I've been coming here for all my tire needs and today I came in to change brake pads. I recently took my car to the dealer for the free oil changes they offer when you buy a car and they tried upselling me. The dealer said that I "needed" new brake pads. Of course I am not going with their outrageous prices. After taking my car to Affordable Tire to change the pads, they told me my brake pads have a 40% life remaining and that I don't need to change them. Kudos to this shop for their honesty! I was searching for tires online and found that Affordable Tires had the best deals in town. Walmart had the similar prices on the tires I was interested but their fees for installation made it more expensive. I was going to pay for the tires online but decided to call the following morning to confirm they had the tires I wanted in stock. The following morning I called and asked for tires for my car. The worker provided me with varies tires options and prices. He was really helpful in answering my questions. I explained to him which tires I wanted and they definitely had them in stock. He told me to stop by when I was ready to install the new tires. Later in the day I called again and spoke with Tom. Once again I told him I was looking to buy tires from them and I wanted to confirm that they had them in stock and if they had time to install the tires. Tom confirmed he had the tires I wanted and that they could install them right away. When I arrive at the shop, I was quickly greeted by the guy I spoke with in the morning. I told him I wanted to buy 4 tires and do an alignment on my car. He suggested I went with a better set of tires since I did a lot of driving but I ended getting the tires I wanted. He was professional and I appreciated that he wasn't forcing me to buy the other tires. They quickly jacked up my car and pulled of my tires. I went in the office to wait for my car. I was expecting to be there a few hours and to my surprise my car was done in about 45 minutes. I went up to the counter to pay Tom and he informed me they will rotate my tires for free. I told him thanks for taking care of my car since I was in desperate need of new tires. Affordable Tires is on top of their game. They offer professional service without any run around like other place. They price they tell us the price you pay if not less unlike shops that have hidden fees. I also like their fast service. No sitting around for hours like the dealers. The dealer kept my car from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. All they did was my oil change and front brakes. Which is ridiculously long when you have things to do.
