Which thank god I ignored them and went somewhere else because it turned out to be a tumor beneath his skin . I was told if I wanted it removed they'd have to keep him to take his blood to make sure he could handle anesthetic. I left him there for 5 hours. And when I returned they said they were unable to draw blood because he was attacking the technicians. My cat has gotten nothing but compliments for good behavior at the other vet he'd go to before it closed. They kept him in his carrier. No phone call. For 5 hours. And told me "well maybe you can keep him still" So I had to hold down my cat while they drew blood. And I could obviously tell why he was attacking them. They were gripping his skull and just pulling his head back, no petting, no nothing. They also had me in a surgery room covered in blood spots and bloody tissues and I was told "well we had a surgery in here today" like clean up your rooms!! This is disgusting!! The place was just simply awful. No communication, no care, and a fundamental lack of knowledge to even treat an animal.

Dr. Blair and the team at Community Animal Hospital are absolutely incredible…read more Dr. Blair is the most caring and compassionate vet I've ever taken my fur babies to. He truly listens to everything your pet is going through and gives his whole heart to finding the best possible care. He doesn't stop until he knows he's doing what's right for your dog. I've lived in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, North Carolina, and Toronto, and I can honestly say he's the best vet I've ever met -- I would even fly here just so my dog Sebastian can be treated by him. That's how much trust and gratitude I have for Dr. Blair and his team. Thank you for always going above and beyond for us!

It was a life-threatening situation that happened near the end of the Dr. Blairs work-day. He quickly diagnosed the issue as being a blocked exit to the stomach (Our cat was ingesting carpet fibers from ripped-up carpet on a cat tower that mixed with hairballs that blocked her stomach that was easily 5 times normal size on Xray. She needed immediate surgery!! Her vitals were not good. Long story short: Two weeks later she got her stitches out and is good as new! Dr. Blair is a man that truly loves animals and my many dogs and cats love him!! His surgical techs were great as well and I am so happy to have found a great Dr. to care for my furry family. Thanks again to you Dr. Blair and your surgical team!

I guarantee you they will kill your pet. The reviews here are true…read more ACCESS failed my pet and they will fail yours too. My cat had CKD and was treated very well at VEG. Then I took her to Access for additional care as a primary and they were difficult. Her values worsted at ACCESS. They inserted a feeding tube in her and when I slowly became aware of their unhygienic practices (caged pets, urine in blankets unchanged for 2-3 days, food in water bowl, difficult front desk staff) I immediately wrote a negative review for people out there. They immediately shut off all care for my cat including all prescription medications as a way to punish my cat to send a strong response to my negative review. They delayed releasing medical records so no other emergency vet could immediately treat her and no primary could prescribe her medications in time. She was in critical condition when they abruptly cut of service. They left me without feeding syringe to take home and give food through the tube. I had to go to an emergency to get tubes and meds. I contacted many hospitals across Florida and they were not shocked about Access as they are aware of them being difficult. Her condition got worse and so I took her back to VEG and they ran blood work. Turns out my cat had astronomically high values for white blood cells and very low platelets. Access did not run the full blood work to catch any of this. She got internal bleeding and sever infection from being at Access cages and overall poor / unsanitary conditions. Her blood work was never done to catch any of this. They only ran 2-3 values while ignoring full comprehensive care. Her blood work looked great on the 26th of April when she left VEG and just within a month of care at Access she was as good as gone. Plateles so low that additional testing at other clinics would put her at risk for more clots and bleeding. I assure you that no care is better care than Access. I have 3 large mixed breeds dogs and go to Justin Batlette for their yearly shots, heartworm testing, as well as various other ailments through the years. It is MUCH more affordable than any other place I have found. I do have my favorite doctors and request them. The staff does their best to accommodate me. Is there often a wait? Thank God for that visit because my beloved was extremely sick this weekend and needed immediate attention and they're open 7 days a week. I called yesterday and made an appointment for this afternoon. From start to finish: Bonnie who assisted with making our appointment and Heidi and Vicky(i, ie) who checked us out tonight - everyone was so kind and professional. Nora was our vet tech or assistant. I apologize if I have the wrong title, but all the reader needs to know is she is thorough and cares about your fur babies. She listened with intent and took extensive notes to provide to Dr. K who treated my precious Lantana. Dr. K was also very compassionate, engaged, and knowledgeable. She listened to his history and reviewed the notes Nora provided her and developed a treatment plan that was tailored to his immediate and post visit needs. Additionally, she informed me of what I need to be looking for as I monitor him for the next 24-48 hours. Once Dr. K was done with her exam, she exited the room and Nora went over the treatment plan and all the corresponding costs with me which I greatly appreciated. She and another team member who I unfortunately didn't get her name (young brunette with a tattoo behind her ear and also wonderful) returned with the fluids and drugs and administered these which was no easy feat. Nora then took the time to thoroughly explain the process for applying the appetite stimulant ointment as it can be toxic to humans. She was kind enough to provide a couple of gloves for application as well. Of course being a helicopter mom, I had a few questions for both she and Dr. K. Both were extremely receptive and answered all my inquiries without hesitation or any indication of being annoyed. Once we were done, I made my way to check out where I met Heidi and Vicki. I apologize for any misspellings of names. Both of these ladies were a pleasure to speak with and extremely helpful. Our appointment was at 4:20 but we arrived a little early. We were called at our scheduled time if not beforehand and barely waited for our appointment. Every team member was fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to bring Lantana here again although I hope we don't have to do it anytime soon. Credit cards are accepted but a 3% service charge is added. Debit cards have no fees and Apple Pay is feasible. Finally, a complete print out regarding your fur babies visiting provided along with a receipt at checkout. I highly recommend Justin Bartlett Animal Hospital for your fur babies needs and / or if you're looking to adopt a new fur baby. While I wasn't in the market for adoption or fostering, I did notice a wide variety of beautiful dogs and one gorgeous blue Russian on my out of the hospital. I'm beyond grateful for this facility and their outstanding team. Thank you SO much! My beloved is on the mend because of all of you!
